Creative writing ability is an important aspect of literacy development among elementary school students. The problems faced by third- and fourth-grade students include difficulties in expressing ideas and imagination in written form, although many students are able to tell stories orally. This community service program aims to improve students’ creative writing skills and self-confidence through the use of the Writing Tree media and stimulus pictures. The program is implemented using a participatory approach through an interactive workshop entitled I Am a Young Writer. Stimulus pictures are used to encourage students’ imagination, while the Writing Tree helps them organize stories systematically through characters and settings, events, and story endings. The implementation stages include socialization, media preparation, workshop activities, collection of students’ work, compilation of a story anthology, evaluation, and preparation of guidelines for teachers. This program is expected to improve students’ interest and ability in creative writing and support the development of a literacy culture in elementary schools.
