Water quality monitoring systems generally only monitor water quality without integrating water quality classification. This study aims to develop a water quality monitoring system and classify it using the pollution index (IP) method. The main focus of the research is to create a water quality parameter monitoring system, classify the measured parameter values using the pollution index (IP) method, and an Android-based application. The research method includes hardware and software design. Testing and analysis show error results on the DS18B20 temperature sensor 0.075%, TDS (Total Dissolved Solid) sensor 2.176%, pH sensor 1.63%, and Turbidity sensor 1.575%. The results of the application in Gajah Mungkur Reservoir at point 1 show the classification results between "Good" and "Lightly Polluted" due to temperature and weather factors, point 2 shows the classification results of "Good" and "Lightly Polluted" due to the TDS value factor tends to increase, Point 3 shows the classification results of "Good" and "Lightly Polluted" due to temperature and weather changes. Thus, the system is able to measure parameters and classify them using the pollution index (IP). It is recommended to develop additional types of water quality measurement parameters to increase the effectiveness of measuring the pollution index (IP) method.
