<![CDATA[This study was conducted with the aim of obtaining information about labor conditions in the city of Sawahlunto associated with future population growth and what plans to anticipate in the future. The research method used is descriptive analysis, with the approach of documentation study Data obtained from BPS city of Sawahlunto and BPS of West Sumatra. The data were analyzed quantitatively. The results showed that, in Kota Sawahlunto there was an increase of population, which was followed by increasing of labor force, with increasing of working age population this had an impact on the quality of labor available in Sawahlunti city which was lower than the quantity of working age population in so many working age residents in the city of Sawahlunto are unemployed because they can not compete in the world of work. In terms of business field, the city of Sawahlunto has considerable potential because it is supported by mining in Ombilin. So to improve the quality of the working age population, the government must develop the potential that exists in every working age population so that they can compete in the world of work.]]>
