Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve assertive behavior of fourth grade of Elementary School students who are victims of bullying by using counseling SPICC models. The method used in this study is an experimental research using a quasi-experimental design. Data collection technique used is assertive behavior questionnaire. Samples are taken from the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kelapa Tujuh obtained by using purposive sampling technique. Data are analyzed using ttest to compare the average gain score of assertive behavior of the fourth grade students who are being bullied in SDN 1 Kelapa Tujuh before (pretest)and after receiving treatment (posttest). The result is that the assertive behavior level of students is in middle category and shows an average difference of 0.35 points between pretest and posttest. It means that SPICC counseling models is effective to improve assertive behavior at the fourth grade students who are being bullied in SDN 1 Kelapa Tujuh in the academic year of 2012/2013.
