Secara efektif, auditor internal menyediakan informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh manajer dalam melaksanakan tanggung jawab perusahaan. Penilaian secara independen dilakukan oleh auditor internal pada suatu perusahaan untuk menilai kegiatan operasional dengan mengukur dan mengevaluasi kecukupan kontrol serta efektifitas dan efisiensi dari kinerja perusahaan. Agar kinerja perusahaan dapat tercapai dengan baik maka peran auditor internal, baik perannya sebagai pengawas, konsultan, maupun katalisator sangat dibutuhkan oleh perusahaan untuk keberhasilan perusahaan.
