Abstract

Abstract, An educator must be able to print learners who actively develop their potential to have spiritual spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, as well as the skills that he needs, society, nation and state. The course of the Profession of Education, students are educated in a teacher training institute has one of the compulsory courses that will be pursued such as the educational profession in order to have an understanding of the educational profession and the interest of being a teacher. The problem in this research is whether there is an understanding of the educational profession with the interest to become a teacher of accounting education students of Universitas PGRI Palembang Academic Year 2017/2018. This research has independent variable that is student understanding about educational profession and dependent variable that is interest to be teacher. The sample used is 46 students with research method is quantitative descriptive method with product moment correlation approach. Sources of data in this study in the form of a questionnaire distributed to students of Accounting Education Studies Program FKIP University PGRI Palembang force 2015. Keywords: Student Understanding, Profession of Education, Interest Being a Teacher
