Abstract

Penggunaan Teknologi Informasi di Perpustakaan FMIPA Universitas Pakuan menjadisuatu keharusan dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan produktifitas.Informasi yang diolahharus bersifat efektif, efisien, rahasia, terintegrasi, tersedia, sesuai, dan dapatdiandalkan.Untuk menilai sejauh mana pengelolaan TI telah dilaksanakan dengannbaik, perlu dilakukan penyesuaian standar manajemen teknologi.Metode COBITadalah salah satu standar manajemen teknologi.Tahapan Metode COBIT yangdilakukan adalah tahap informasi, tahap perencanaan dan organisasi, tahap akuisisidan implementasi, tahap pengiriman dan dukungan, serta tahap pemantauan. Setelahitu, dengan menggunakan Metode COBIT ini akan diberikan penilaian melaluiwawancara dan kuesioner, sehingga dapat diketahui tingkat kematangannya (MaturityModel). Dengan demikian diketahui temuan-temuan, baik yang sudah baik, buruk,maupun yang masih perlu dikembangkan. Akhirnya diberikan rekomendasi untukmeningkatkan mutu perpustakaan FMIPA UNPAK.

Abstract

Pustakawan dalam era teknologi informasi ini perlu mempersiapkan diri dalam menghadapi era perpustakaan digital. Kemampuan dalam beradaptasi dengan lingkungan ini amat diperlukan karena pemustaka sendiri tentunya  mengharapkan layanan yang berorientasi pada teknologi maju sehingga keakuratan data dan kecepatan informasi dapat diperoleh. Khususnya pada perpustakaan yang melayani lembaga perguruan tinggi akan selalu berkembang baik jumlah koleksi, fasilitas maupun pengembangan profesionalisme para pustakawan. Dalam mendukung aktivitas  kegiatan ini perpustakaan  diharapkan akan selalu sigap dalam menyiapkan kebutuhan pemustaka sehingga koleksi yang disediakan mampu mengimbangi kebutuhan informasi yang diperlukan.

Abstract

Nowadays, library services are varied compared several decades ago. Information technology gives a new meaning of the services provided by the library. There are several changes of the library users’ orientation and expectation of what kind of information the need and want, and in what form. Also, they tend to rely on the internet to find up-to-date information, whereas it is difficult to provide by printed based material mostly provided by the libraries. And there is digital natives, a new generation of the library users, a generation that born with electronic devices in their hands. They may come the library not to look for books, but for free wi-fi.For user satisfaction, libraries should focus on the users’ need, or user orientation. In the realization of the information orientation changing of the library users, the libraries should also change its policy, especially about library services, and collection development. Libraries not only about books, but also about information in any kind of forms and by any kind of meaning and technology. The users need technology based services and information, so that libraries should provide. By providing the users’ need, libraries will not be abandoned by them and will be still the users’ preference in seeking information and knowledge.

Abstract

Library Information Systems is a computer application that serves to process data library books. Includes data collection members, registration books, number books, authors, publishers, book classification, and shelves. The purpose of this research is the realization of an information system that is able to help officers determine a collection of books, the status of the book, any book ever borrowed by members, and to know that there are graphs borrowing at library Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian Jawa Timur (BPTP Jatim) in the not old.The data used for the realization of this system get through direct interviews to officers BPTP Jatim libraries. For the method of analysis and design of information systems using the ERD and UML data model as a process model. As well as using the PHP programming language and MySQL database in the making of the program.Once the system is implemented in BPTP Jatim, officials initially had difficulty in knowing a collection of books, the status of the book, any book ever borrowed members, and helped monitor the loan now. Officers no longer need to open the old files to find out what books ever borrowed members. Officers could find out through this information system. Besides lending officers can also monitor the status of the book, members who frequent borrowing, any book that is often borrowed by the chart provided.
