Focus Muqaranah Al-Adyan: Multidisciplinary Perspective on Religions is a peer-reviewed academic journal focusing on the multidisciplinary study of religions. The journal publishes original research that critically examines religious beliefs, texts, practices, institutions, experiences, and communities through diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives. The journal particularly encourages studies addressing the relationship between religion and contemporary social, cultural, and intellectual developments. Priority is given to research concerning Indonesia and Southeast Asia, while comparative and internationally relevant studies from other regions are also welcomed. Scope The journal’s scope is organized into the following main areas: Comparative Religion and Religious Thought Comparative religion, theology, philosophy of religion, religious doctrines, sacred texts, religious narratives, and contemporary religious thought. Religion, Society, and Politics Sociology and anthropology of religion, religious identity, religious institutions, citizenship, public policy, conflict, peacebuilding, tolerance, moderation, and interreligious relations. Religion, Culture, and History History of religions, local wisdom, indigenous traditions, rituals, popular culture, cultural transformation, and lived religious practices. Religion, Education, Media, and Technology Religious education and literacy, religious communication, digital religion, media representation, popular media, and the influence of technological developments on religious life. Religion and Contemporary Issues Religion in relation to gender, youth, family, ecology, development, spirituality, social change, and emerging forms of religiosity. The journal welcomes qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, comparative, historical, textual, and ethnographic studies. Every manuscript must demonstrate a substantive connection to religious studies, employ an appropriate academic method, engage relevant scholarly literature, and offer an original contribution. Manuscripts that discuss education, politics, culture, media, or other social issues without a clear and analytically developed religious dimension are outside the journal’s scope. The journal does not accept sermons, devotional writings, purely normative religious arguments, or descriptive manuscripts that lack a systematic academic framework.
