The journal covers the analysis, development, planning, design, governance, and transformation of regional and rural communities, including their physical, spatial, technological, environmental, economic, social, cultural, institutional, and political dimensions. It also addresses rural societies and economies, human resource development, rural policy and governance, regional inequality, rural–urban relations, environmental change, technological innovation, and the conceptualisation and representation of rurality.
