Abstract

The system of medicine has developed rapidly in today's times and has touched almost all walks of life along with the advancement of science and technology. Likewise, traditional medicine is still alive and becomes a model of alternative medicine in society. Its implementation is also based on knowledge passed down orally and in writing. Traditional medicine is still used in people's lives even though modern medicine systems have been widely known and even applied both in urban and rural areas. As found in the Taliabu community in Tolong Village, they are familiar with the traditional medicine knowledge system that has been used by the local community for hundreds of years, namely before the entry of modern medicine, known as Pusuik Takino, Pusuik Takino traditional medicine is still practiced in the lives of people in Tolong Village even though there are medical personnel available. The desire from within humans to treat illness and maintain health triggers themselves to get treatment in order to get healing even though sometimes the treatment system that is carried out does not enter into logical or irrational thinking. The choice of treatment is because the treatment that has been done has not brought healing due to lack of medical personnel, financial conditions, thus encouraging someone to try other alternatives. Abstract

Humans are social creatures who interact with others in meeting various needs of life. Therefore, humans are inseparable from interacting using language as a means of communication. Language is a social communication tool in the form of a system of sound symbols produced from human speech. Language is an important element in influencing human life and culture. One of the languages that must be maintained and protected is the regional language. Regional languages are languages that are one of the criteria for identifying an ethnic group or ethnic group. Regional languages as a means of communication in the community must certainly be maintained and preserved in the community, so that the criteria for identification in tribes and regions are not lost. Teenagers in Tanah Putih Village mostly speak less and less Tonsea. However, most of the teenagers who interact use Manadonese Malay in their daily lives, but other teenagers also use Tonsea to interact with their own parents. The role of parents in teaching Tonsea language is very beneficial for teenagers today because parental education greatly influences children to use their respective regional languages. The role of parents to use the Tonsea language in interacting is applied in everyday life. With that, the Tonsea language is still always used in everyday life. Abstract

Knowing the wealth of traditions in the Lake Toba area cannot be separated from the intangible heritage that has been authorized by the Ministry of Culture and Education. In the Batak Karo tradition, there are three intangible cultural heritages, for example (1) Guro-guro Aron, (2) Merdang Merdem, (3) Erpangir Ku Lau. In addition to Batak land, now Guro-guro Aron Drum has also been displayed in several regions in Indonesia, including in Cikopo, Yogyakarta, Manado, and others. This shows that the Batak Karo community is also very closely related to the world of art such as dancing, singing, and playing musical instruments. Music is one of the complementary instruments when the Batak Karo people perform the Guro-guro Aron Drum dance. This art still exists in Manado, and of course has adapted continuously in accordance with the interests of the dynamic Batak Karo community in keeping up with the times. That is, these changes and shifts in art occur in line with changes in Karo society in various aspects of life, let alone They are overseas. The performance of Guro-guro Aron Drum in Manado is not only the Batak Karo family who watches but all Batak in Manado and even Minahasa people also watch like the Batak Karo family who married Minahasa people. It is very likely that this Guro-guro Aron Drum performance, in addition to strengthening family ties, can also resolve disputes that occur in the Batak Karo family.
