Union: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Matematika is a peer-reviewed open access journal published three times in a year (March, July, and November). Union: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Matematika provides a forum for lecturers, academicians, researchers, practitioners, and students to deliver and share knowledge in the form of empirical and theoretical research articles. <![CDATA[The purpose of this research was to improve the discipline and  learning outcomes in mathematics of students of class VII A SMP N I Kretek using learning type Numbered Head Together. The subjects of this research was students of class VII A SMP N I Kretek totaling 26 students. The object of this research was discipline and mathematic learning outcomes. The results showed that after application of cooperative learning model to Numbered Head Together, discipline and learning Mathematics has increased. This is indicated by an increase in the average yield percentage discipline of each student's learning cycle, namely the pre-cycle percentage discipline of 73,31%, in the first cycle of 79,08% and 87,37% for the second cycle. In addition the average mathematics student learning outcomes is increased in pre-cycle for 66,73 increased to 74,36 in the first cycle and second cycle becomes 79,64. As for mastery learning increased from pre-cycle by 57,70% to 61,54% in the first cycle and became 80,77% in the second cycle. Given the cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together can increase discipline and Mathematics student learning outcomes, teachers are expected to implement the learning model in the learning process.]]>

<![CDATA[The purposes of this research was to describe the interest and achievement of mathematics in student D seventh grade junior high school Muhammadiyah 1 Wonosari using TSTS (Two Stay Two Stray). This research is Class Action Research (CAR). The technique of data done by questionnaire, tests and documentation. The results of research that the interest and achievement of mathematics is increased. The average percentage of student interest questionnaire at pre-cycle was 73,25%, became 73,32% at cycle I, and became 74,33% at cycle II. Average of achievement at pre-cycle 43,08 , 55,81 at the first cycle, and 63,13 at the second cycle. So, teachers can implement cooperative learning TSTS type as a variation of learning.]]>

<![CDATA[the purpose of this research is to improve the activity and achiefement of student to learn mathematic using cooperative learning model type Quiz Team in class X 6 SMA N I Imogiri. The type of this research is classroom action research with collaboratively. The subject of this observation is the students in class X 6 SMA N I Imogiri it consist of 32 students. The object of this research is activity and achievement of student to learn of mathematic by using cooperative learning model type Quiz Team. The result of this research shows that the activity and achievement of student increased after applying cooperative learning model type Quiz Team. The activity of learning process increased from cycle 1 56.4% to cycle II 71.61%. Beside that the subjection of student’s achievement has a increase in pre cycle shows 64.7I with Minimum Completeness’ Criteria ‘KKM is 43.75%. In average, the final examination from cycle I 74.58 with KKM 52.50%. The final examination in cycle II is 84.56 with KKM 87.50. See this result of final examination cycle I and cycle II using cooperative learning model type Quiz Team, the teacher are hoped to apply cooperative learning model type Quiz Team in learning process.]]>

<![CDATA[The research aims to know the effectiveness of learning mathematics with Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Approach to critical thingking skills of student class VII SMP Negeri 3 Pandak academic year 2013/2014, to know which the critical thingking skills that is better among high, medium, and low student motivation, to know interactions between application of learning model and student motivation. Kind of the research is a quasi-eksperimental. The population of this research was all students of class VII consist of 4 classes in SMP Negeri 3 Pandak academic year 2013/2014. The research sample of 2 classes was taken by cluster random sampling technique. The instrumens of the research consist of documentation, critical thingking math test,observation and questionnaire. The data analysis uses descriptive analysis and two-way ANOVA. The results of the analysis in the research are : 1) Learning mathematics with Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Approach is more effective than conventional approaches to critical thingking, 2) Critical thingking skills of student who have high motivation to learn are  better than students with medium and low learning motivation, critical thingking skills of students with medium learning motivation are better than students with low learning motivation, 3) There is no interaction between learning model and motivation to learn of students based on the critical thingking skills. Thus, the suggestion of the result of this research is learning mathematics with Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Approach can be implemented to improve student’s critical thingking.]]>

<![CDATA[the purpose of this research was to describe type of cooperative learning process NHT can increase the activity and learning achievement students of class VII B SMP Muhamadiyah 9 Yogyakarta of second semester in academic year 2013 / 2014. This research is classroom action research. The subjects in this research were students of class VII B SMP Muhamiday 9 Yogyakarta. Object in this research is a mathematical activity and learning achievement using cooperative learning model NHT. Data collection technique in this research was done by using observation, documentation techniques, and tests. The result of this research showed that after application of mathematic learning through NHT. Activity and learning mathematic achievement of students has increased. This is evidenced by an increase in the percentage of prasiklus average percentage of 28,7% of student activity. In the first cycle and the first cycle used NHT where the first cycle increased the average percentage of student activity by 59,6%, in the second cycle become 75,1% and the second meeting of the second cycle of all student has reached a minimum of activity with both criteria. Mathematic learning achievement of student also increased from an average value of 50,5% prasiklus. In the first cycle and increased to 71,9% to 78,8 in the second cycle with a percentage of 77,8% completeness. Therefore, the teachers are advised to implement NHT in an effort to increase the activity and student achievement in math.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose the research to improve the activity and achievement of learning mathematics with the Talking Stick method in class VII F SMP N 2 Srandakan. The type of this research is a classroom action research. The subject of the research are the students grade VII F SMP N 2 Srandakan it consists of 24 students. The object of this research is activity and achievement of learning mathematics with the Talking Stick method. The result of the study shows that after this learning model, students’ activity and achievement has an increase. Students’ activity has increase in pre cycle from 56,25% become 64,93% and an increase in cycle II become 72,92%. Beside that the subjection average of students achievement has an increase in pre cycle shows 53,43 with Minimum Completenes Criteria ‘KKM’ is 12,5% consists of 3 students. In cycle I has an increase become 66,94 with KKM is 41,67% consist of 10 students where as in cycle II shows the increasa become 82,54 with KKM is 75% consist of 18 students. In pre cycle to cycle I there are 2 students whose value is fixed and the 22 students has increased. Then in cycle I to cycle II there are 1 student whose value is fixed and the 23 students has increased.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to know the tendency of learning outcomes and motivation in learning mathematics X grade of Accounting at SMK 1 Bawang, Banjarnegara by using Active Learning Methods and types of GGE students who are taught using conventional methods, to determine which methods will give good achievement in mathematics, between active learning method or type GGE and the conventional method, to know which the mathematics learning motivation that is better among high, medium, and low, to know the interaction between of learning method and motivation level. The population of the study was the students X grade at SMK 1 Bawang, Banjarnegara in academic year 2013/2014. Samples were selected 2 classes at 65 students. Data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing with two-way ANOVA F test. The results of the analysis can be concluded learning outcomes mathematics of the students who are taught with active learning methods GGE type classified as very high (, learning outcomes mathematics of students who are taught with the conventional method is exceptionally high ( ; taught students 'motivation with GGE type of active learning methods is high (, while the students' motivation classes taught by conventional methods were moderate (; classes are taught by active learning method has type GGE mathematics learning outcomes better than the class taught by the conventional method "; mathematics learning outcomes of students with high motivation better than medium and low motivation, students with motivation are better than low motivation.  there is no interaction between learning method based on the motivation level of students' mathematics learning]]>

<![CDATA[The effort to improve Motivation and Achievement Learn Mathematics with Model Study of Quick on the Draw Student Class the on of X Techhnique Installation Electric Power (TITL) A SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu in year 2013/2014. The type of this research is classroom action research collaboratively. The subject of the reasearch are students class X TITL A SMK Negeri 1 Sedayu. It consist 32 students. While the object is the motivation and achievement of students learning mathematics derived from the application of learning models Quick on the Draw. The result shows the increase by using this model. It is indicated by an improvement in the average yield percentage of math learning motivation questionnaire sheet for each cycle, namely the pre-cycle students' motivation for 61.12% increase to 66.729% in the first cycle, and increased in the second cycle be 80.145%. In addition, the average value of mathematics learning achievement of students has increased namely in the pre cycle completeness of 55,313 with a percentage of 31.25% (10 students), in the first cycle increased to 70.21 with the percentage of completeness 59.38% (19 students), while on the second cycle increased to 80.51 with the percentage of completeness 81.25% (26 students). Based on the result of the research expected to the teachers in order to be able to use the learning model on the Quick Draw which as one of the models of learning that to be able to improve the motivation and achievement of learning mathematics.]]>

<![CDATA[an effort to increase the students’ learning activity and achievement in learning mathematics through snowball throwing learning methods of students grade VII C SMP Negeri 2 Kokap. The type of this research is a classroom action research. The subject of the research are the students grade VII C SMP Negeri 2 Kokap, Kulon Progo. It consists of 22 students. The object of this research is students’ learning activity and achievement in learning mathematics through snowball throwing learning methods. The result of the study shows that after applying this learning method, students’ learning activity and achievement has an increase. Students’ learning activity has an increase in cycle I from 56,4% become 77,46% in cycle II from the observation sheet. Beside that, the subjection mean of students achievement has an increase. In pre-cycle shows 41,89, in cycle I has an increase become 65,51, whereas in cycle II shows the increse become 75,28.]]>

<![CDATA[this research has purpose to know mathematics learning process by Mastery Learning model in order to can be increase of interest and achievement of study mathematics of fifth grade student in Muhammadiyah Mertosanan Elementary School Subdistrict of Banguntapan Regency of Bantul on the year of teaching 2012/2013. The kind of this research was Clasroom Action Research (CAR). This research were implemented in two of cycle with the subject are fifth grade student in Muhammadiyah Mertosanan Elementary School Subdistrict of Banguntapan Regency of Bantul on the year of teaching 2012/2013 that number are 23 students. The object of this research were all of process on application of Mastery Learning model to increased of interest and achievement of study in mathematics of student. The research data obtained from the observation during the lesson, questionnaire, documentation and the test of every cycle. The result of this research show that after applied of Mastery Learning model, interest and achievement of study in mathematics of student in mathematics learning are experience to be increase. Â suggestion in order to teacher of mathematics lesson can be apply Mastery Learning model as variation in to teach.]]>
