Abstract

The research was intended to identify the differences between translating and interpreting process, in order to explain the similarities of translating and interpreting process, and describing how the process between translating and interpreting process. There were two main theories adopted in this study. The theory of translation by Nida (1974) and interpreting theory by Pohhacker (2004). Nida’s and Pohhcaker’s theories were used to find out the answer of problem in this study. They were also some supporting theories concerning the translation and interpreting. “Meaning Based Translation” by Larson (1998) and some other theory were used along discuss about the differences and similarities of translating process and interpreting process in this study.

Abstract

The subject of corporate finance has assumed tremendous significance in the light of the ongoing economic uncertainty across the world. Apart from the three most important decisions of fund raising, fund deployment and generation of returns, greater emphasis has been laid down upon creating a long term value through Economic value addition (EVA). The role of assets in generation of cash flows has become even more pronounced in modern day changing dynamics. More than the external factors, India has certain homegrown structural problems which seriously needs to be addressed at this juncture; the prominent ones being ensuring a high ICOR and addressing the supply side bottlenecks in the economy. Indian companies will have to address the financial problems in the light of the current macroeconomic turmoil of high inflation and revised growth projection of 5%. This has to be done despite having a sound corporate financial framework. This paper attempts to address these problems and tries to suggest some solution to overcome the period of uncertainty

Abstract

While overall power generation in India has been increasing over the years, the coverage of households in the energy access net (with 38% of total households or over 500 million people having no energy access) and availability of supply (at only 5-6 hours/day) are still prime concerns for the Government.  In such a scenario, is renewable energy an alternative given the shortage of supply from conventional sources, with over 30,000 MW stranded power plants, commitment of the Government to set up 100 Smart Cities, High-speed/Semi-speed Rails, Industrial Corridors and more beyond that ‘power to all’ by 2022’ Through this study, an attempt has been made to understand the socio-economic-environmental impact of renewable energy expansion and examined the factors that govern the feasibility and/or viability in meeting the ambitious clean energy target of 175 GW set out by the Government. The key determinants of renewable energy are found to be functionality variation, pattern of household’s energy consumption, willingness-to-pay, behavioral change in tariff and cost, grid integration, energy efficiency and access to cheap green finance. Selective implementation of a combination of On-Grid, Off-Grid and localized Mini-Grids application and flexible revenue modality such as ‘Pay as-you-go’ in off-grid areas and ‘Net-metering’ or ‘Feed-in-tariff’ concept in grid-connected areas are best suited. Further, enforceable renewable purchase obligation, renewable generation obligation, faster and efficient implementation of renewable energy certificates as tradable commodity, carbon trading as a source of revenue, green marketing, mobilization of funds under corporate social responsibility and single procurement of all renewable energy by a centralized unit would go a long way in achieving the renewable targets.

Abstract

Degradation of environment is one of the most serious challenges before the mankind in today’s world. Mankind has been facing a wide range of problem arising out of the degradation of environment. Not only the areas under human inhabitation, but the areas of the planet without human population have also been suffering from these problems. As the population increase day by day, the amenities are not improved simultaneously. With the advancement of science and technologies the needs of human beings has been changing rapidly. As a result different types of environmental problems have been rising. Environmental degradation is a wide- reaching problem and it is likely to influence the health of human population is great. It may be defined the deterioration of the environment through depletion of resources such as air, water, and soil. The destruction of ecosystem and extinction of wildlife. Environmental degradation has occurred due to the recent activities in the field of socio-economic, institute and technology. Poverty still remains a problem as the root of several environmental problems to create awareness among the people about the ill effect of environmental pollution. In the whole research it is clear that all factors of environmental degradation may be reduced through- Framing the new laws on environmental degradation, Environment friend policy, Controlling all the ways and means of noise, air, soil and water pollution, Through growing more and more trees and by adapting the proper sanitation policy.
