Abstract

9.4 million deaths per year are caused by cardiovascular disease and 45% are caused by coronary heart disease (World Statistics). The prevalence of heart disease in Indonesia in 2018 nationally was 1.5% per population. The prevalence of heart disease in East Java is 1.6%, which is above the national prevalence of 1.5% (Riskesdas, 2018). To see the effectiveness of understanding and behavior in preventing the risk of coronary heart disease in adolescents (12-19 years), researchers are interested in conducting research on the effect of the booklet module and E-Health Education on the risk of coronary heart disease in adolescents (12-19 years). Keywords: e-health education module; booklets; prevention; coronary heart disease

Abstract

Background: The multiple roles of midwives in the health care system raises a question mark on how sharp this role is in preventing stunting to create a healthy province. This research has an impact on evaluating stunting prevalence reduction programs in healthy provincial programs so that governance improvements can be obtained. Objectives: to obtain certainty status specifically the role of midwives in reducing stunting prevalence in the program to create a healthy province. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive design. The research population was midwives and midwifery students (n=59). The inclusion criteria were midwives and midwifery students who took part in healthy provincial seminars. The exclusion criteria were midwives and midwifery students who did not attend the seminar. The control variable was a minimizing stunting prevalence rates in the midwifery perspective. The instrument was a questionnaire that includes demographic data and technical data about the program and the role of midwives. Processing the data was univariate and analyzed descriptively. Results: Of the 59 study populations, 50.9% said the stunting program was urgent, 56.1% was in line with the capacity of the local government, and 50% said the role of midwives had not been maximized, especially in the field of health education (71.9%). The cause of the slow achievement of the program is the lack of cross-sectoral cooperation (61.4%), and the low socioeconomic level of the community (57.9%).Conclusion: This study recommended involving midwives and midwifery students in the formation of a stunting management team, and obtaining accurate data in the prevalence reduction program

Abstract

Background: Memory is influenced by very complex factors such as physical activity or exercise. Memory has been shown correlated by physical activity. Jogging is an aerobic exercise has a significant effect on health. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of jogging as a moderate-intensity aerobic exercise on short-term memory in students of the Nursing Science Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Institut Kesehatan Sumatera Utara. Methods: This research is a quasi experiment using 15 people control group and 15 people experimental groups with random sampling technique. Experimental group jogging for 30 minutes in 7 days. The data were tested using paired-sample t-test. To measure short-term memory using Scenery Picture Memory Test (SPMT). Results: The results showed that there was an effect of jogging as a moderate-intensity aerobic exercise on short-term memory with p = 0.000 (sig < 0.05). Conclusion: There is an effect of jogging as a moderate-intensity aerobic exercise on the short-term memory of nursing students at Faculty of Health Sciences,Institut Kesehatan Sumatera Utara in 2022.

Abstract

Forensic dentistry is a branch of medical science that deals with identifying and examining evidence through teeth and evaluating and presenting findings related to the oral cavity, jaws, teeth, and oral soft tissues to determine a person's identity. One of the identification methods that can be used in forensic odontology is lip prints. This study aims to see and examine the appearance of lip print patterns (cheiloscopy) based on age in Bojonegoro, East Java, Indonesia. This research was a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional approach and used the classification of lip print patterns proposed by Suzuki & Tsuchihashi. The research sample consisted of 100 people taken from the age group of toddlers, children, adolescents, early adults, late adults, early elderly, late elderly, and seniors. The results of this study indicated that the most common lip print pattern was type II followed by type III and type I. There was diversity and variation in lip print patterns in each age group in Bojonegoro, East Java, Indonesia. Possibly due to racial variations and subject maturity. Keywords: forensic identification; lip print; cheiloscopy
