Abstract

The objection of this study is to increase the level of interest and learning achievement about calculation of construction machinery subjects in the 11th grade of mechanical class of PIRI Sleman Vocational High School through the Lectora Inspire learning media. The type of this research is classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research subject is mechanical class of PIRI Sleman Vocational High School, which includes fifteen male students. The data collection method is using the evaluation data which is collected through the learning achievement test, Beside that, the research is used to know the students interest in learning subjects Construction Engineering Calculations using a questionnaire. Data analysis method used is a comparative technique that compares the results of pre-test and post-test. The result showed that by using the Lectora Inspire learning media, the level of interests and learning achievement about calculation of construction machinery subjects in the 11th grade of mechanical class of PIRI Sleman Vocational High School was increased. In the first cycle, students interest reached about 64.87%, which is included in the high criteria. The initial competency of the subject obtained from the pre-test showing that there are three or 20% students have fulfilled the minimum achievement criteria, while twelve students or 80% students haven’t fulfilled it yet. The enhancement of student achievement in the first cycle, who passed the minimum achievement criteria is ten students with a percentage of 66.67% or the mean value is 75.07. For the second cycle of post test result showed the students who reached 75 point is thirteen students with a percentage of 86.67% or the mean value is 75.07. Overall, the interest level for study calculations of construction machinery in mechanical class of PIRI Sleman Vocational High School increased by 66.67%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are: (1) determine the use of methods of demonstration with Cutting Engine can increase students' motivation on the subjects of the ignition system for class XI student of SMK Industry, Yogyakarta, and (2) to use methods of demonstration with Cutting Engine can improve student learning outcomes in subjects ignition system for class XI student of SMK Industry, Yogyakarta. This research is a classroom action research. Data collection techniques used in this study questionnaires and tests. This study design is divided into four stages, namely: (1) Planning (planning); (2) Implementation of the action (acting); (3) Observation (observing); and (4) Reflection (reflecting). Analysis of the data in this studyinclude: questionnaires, nalisis test data, and interviews. The results showed that pre-cyclestudent learning achievement results before there is action that has reached KKM 42.31 and57.69% who have not reached the KKM. After the action on the first cycle evaluation test and the value of the learning activities using the demonstration method Cutting Engine to improve motivation and student learning outcomes ignition system obtained by the students with an average of 68.57 which has not reached the KKM. In the second cycle students value greatly increased compared with the cycle of action I. After evaluation test scores and grades the second cycle of learning activities using the demonstration method Cutting Engine to improve motivation and learning outcomes of students is the ignition system with an averageof 73.19, p this has reached the KKM

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much (1) the correlation  vocational of learning interest and entrepreneurship learning achievement to entrepreneurship interest, (2) the correlation between  vocational learning interest and  entrepreneurship interest  and (3) the correlation  between learning achievement entrepreneurship with entrepreneurship interest  of the grade XI student of  technical machine  SMK  Christian 1 Klaten Academic in academic  Year 2014/2015.This study is an ex-post facto. The population in this study is all students of grade XI technical machine as 68 students. This data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. A test instrument using validity and reliability test item instrument. The analyzed technique  using descriptive and analytical prerequisite test that includes tests of normality, linearity and multicollinearity test. Data analysis using partial correlation and multiple regression and analyzed with SPSS 21,00.This research includes that there is a positive significant correlation  between vocational  learning interest and  entrepreneurship interest,  there is a significant positive correlation between entrepreneurship learning achievement with  entrepreneurship internet , and there is a significant positive correlation  between vocational learning interest and entrepreneurship learning achievement with entrepreneurship interest.

Abstract

This study aimed to know: (1) teacher’s interpersonal communication support and learning motivation toward learning achievement of ignition system; (2) teacher’s interpersonal communication support toward learning achievement of ignition system; and (3) learning motivation toward learning achievement of ignition system. The type of this study was ex-post facto. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis technique used descriptive analysis, the first hypothesis testing used double regression analysis, and the second and third hypothesis testing used partial correlation. This study shows that (1) there a positive and significant support of teacher’s interpersonal communication and learning motivation toward learning achievement of ignition system with the score of Freg = 6.633 and significance score 0.003 < 0.05. The score of coefficient correlation (R2) was 0.197, it was meant that teacher’s interpersonal communication and learning motivation gave contribution toward learning achievement of ignition system 19.7%; (2) there a positive and significant support of teacher’s interpersonal communication support toward learning achievement of ignition system; with the score of rx1y-2= 0.328 with the significance score 0.014 < 0.05and (3) there a positive and significant support of learning motivation toward learning achievement of ignition system with the score of rx2y-1= 0.324 with the significance score 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

This aim of the research to knows: (1) Influence of world works information for being readiness teacher at vocational high school; (2) Influence of engineering knowledge for being readiness teacher at vocational high school; (3) Influence of world works information and engineering knowledge in common for being readiness teacher at vocational high school in students for 5 semester of engineering education FKIP UST for 2016/2017 periods. This research results: (1) There are positive influence and significance of word works information for being readiness teacher at vocational high school in students for 5 semester of engineering education FKIP UST for 2016/2017 periods consists 76,345% relative contributes and effective contribute 27,857%; (2) There are positive influence and significance of word works information for being readiness teacher at vocational high school in students for 5 semester of engineering education FKIP UST for 2016/2017 periods consists relative contribute 23,655%and effective contribute 8,631%; (3) There are positive influence and significance of worldworks information for engineering knowledge in common for being readiness teacher atvocational high school in students for 5 semester of engineering education FKIP UST for2016/2017 periods. The world works information for engineering knowledge in common consist relative contribute 100% and effective contribute 36,5% for being readiness teacher at vocational high school

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of mechanical measuring tools using the discussion method macromedia flash class X students SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Salam Magelang. The data collection technique uses test questions to measure initial capability and tests to measure learning of mechanical measuring instruments. The result of the research shows that (1) The use of macromedia flash discussion method influences the learning result of mechanical measuring instrument from t test with t value (0.000) smaller than t table value (0,025). (2) Based on the result of the test before and after the treatments the average score of learning result of mechanical measuring instrument increased by 10.77 points which was originally 72,01 to 82,78 and all values above KKM (Criteria Completed Minimum). (3) the average value in the treatment class is greater than the control class with the selisis of 6.89 points. It can be concluded that the macromedia flash discussion method can improve the learning outcomes of mechanical measuring instruments

Abstract

One indicator of the era of globalization is characterized by the emergence of free trade, free goods out of the country knows no bounds (borderless), this indication shows that the workforce with professional qualifications are highly demanded in the world of work in this era of globalization.In the organization of education systems-oriented world of work in Indonesia, there are two terms used education, namely: vocational education and vocational education. In Article 15 of Law No. 20 of 2003 on National Education System explained vocational education is secondary education that prepares students primarily for work in a particular field, while vocational education is higher education that prepares students to have a job with a certain applied skills equivalent to the maximum degree program. Thus, vocational education is provision of formal education which was held in higher education, such as: polytechnic, diploma, or the like which are directly related to the advancement of knowledge and skills necessary for candidates for employment in the field of engineering and industrial services. Vocational education building 8 Competency, namely: Communication Skills, Critical and Creative Thinking, Information/ Digital Literacy, Inquiry/ Reasoning Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Multicultural/ Multilingual Literacy, Problem Solving, Technological Skills.With vocational education effective and efficient is expected to generate prospective workers who have the soft skills and hard skills with critical thinking ability and skill in solving problems to face the world of work in the era of globalization.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to improve (1) learning activity and (2) learning achivement of ignition system by using problem based learning teaching method. The type of this study was an action research. Data collection method used ovservation and test. The research instrumens were leson plan, test, and observation guideline. Data analysis technique used a descriptive analysis and qualitative analyis to know the percentage of learning activity and learning achivement of ignition system. This study shows that (1) based on the result of observation in cycle I, the mean score of learning activity was 43.15% in low category in the interval antara 41% - 65%. The mean scoreof learning activity in cycle II was 71.37% in fair category in the interval antara 66% -74%. The mean score of learning activity in cycle III was 82.78% in high category in the interval antara 85% - 100%. (2) The use of problem based learning teaching method could improve learning achivement of ignition system. The improvement could be seen from the mean score of test of cycle I was 73.26 imprived in cycle II 80.39 and cycle III 88.77. The percentage of students who wete completed in learning in cycle I was 38.71% improved in cycle II becmae 87.10% and 96.8% in cycle III

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the increase of learning activityand result using Problem Based Learning in motorbike gasoline Tune-up lesson for students in grade XI SMK Insan Cendekia Sleman. This research is a kind of action research, which in the process applying the PBL method. This research has 4 steps, which are planning, application, observation and reflection. The observation of students activity in applying PBL learning is done by going to the class directly while the learning process is still ongoing. While, the result of student learning is measured by first assessment and final assessment. The result shows that after PBL method which is given to the students there is an increase of learning activity in amount 60%, while the increase of learning result in time of observation is approximately getting 6,5 for average mark First cycle, the average mark is 6,5, while for the second cycle 6,8 and 7,3 for third cycle. These evidences show PBL method application can increase the learning activity and result using Problem Based Learning in motorbike gasoline Tune-up lesson for students in grade XI SMK Insan Cendekia Sleman

Abstract

This study aimed to know the improvement of learning activity of brake system subject by using jigsaw cooperative learning model. The type of this study was a classroom action research. The research subject was the eleventh grade students of vocational school Tamansiswa Jetis Yogyakart consisted of 31 students. The research object was learning activity of brake system subject by using jigsaw cooperative learning model. Data collection technique used observation. The research instrument was the researcher. Data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis. This result of the study shows that the use of jigsaw cooperative learning model could improve learning activity of brake system subject. The mean score of learning activity in pre cycle was 36/87% in the interval between 21% - 40% in low category, improved in cycle I 46.54% in the interval between 41% - 60% in enough category, and improved in cycle II became 89.86% in the interval between 81% - 100% in very active category
