People's awareness of earthquakes is very deficient, and their earthquake mitigation is also relatively scant. The research objectives are: 1) Designing a flat coil-based vibration sensor on a Security Pos Drums as a Disaster preparedness media for Muhammadiyah Elementary School students; 2) Analyzing how high the level of disaster preparedness for Muhammadiyah Elementary School students through a flat coil-based vibration sensor on the Security Post Drums. This study uses two methods, i.e., 1) The experimental method was used to design the flat coil-based vibration sensor installed on the Security Post Drums. The vibration frequency measured by the flat coil sensor is the low frequency. The Security Post Drums work by striking it once or more, and then the vibration propagates to the sensor so the siren will blare; and 2) Qualitative and quantitative method used to measure students' preparedness in Muhammadiyah Elementary School. The samples applied are 26 students taken by random sampling method. The data on students' preparedness was collected using a questionnaire instrument. The research variable of the preparedness consisted of 5 aspects, i.e., 1) knowledge on types of disasters; 2) steps taken at the beginning of a disaster; 3) steps undertaken right after the disaster occurred; 4) materials need to prepared when disaster struck, and 5) preparedness in dealing disaster. The assessment was carried out using the Likert scale. The results of this research are 1) the disaster preparedness media for Aisyiyah Elementary School students has been designed in a flat coil-based sensor integrated with security post drums); 2) the level of disaster preparedness for Aisyiyah Elementary School students increased. This improvement was indicated that the posttest score (ranges from 60 until 68.18) was more significant than the pretest score (ranges from 49 until 58) on the overall five aspects.

The advantage of four-tier model test is that it has four levels of questions that require complex reasoning abilities from students to express the reasons for their answers to the problems given. This study aimed to develop a multiple representation test with a four-tier model to measure students’ multiple representation in electricity topics. The stages of developing this test instrument used a stage model of The Design Based Research which consists of five stages, namely developing an assessment framework, designing items, developing rubrics, conducting trials, and applying the Racsh Model analysis with the Item Response approach. Theory (IRT) program assisted Winsteps version 3.68.2. The research method used was descriptive-exploratory method to describe the results of the development and validation of four-tier model test. This test consisted to 20 items were developed based on four types of representation, namely verbal representations, diagrammatic representations (pictures), mathematical representations, and graphic representations with each indicator. The research subjects involved were 30 prospective physics students at the pilot test stage and 79 prospective physics students at the field test stage from different universities in Makassar city. The results of the development of the four-tier test model test overall items are valid with a high level of reliability (Cronbach's Alpha value = 0.80). Based on the results of expert judgment validation and testing, it can be concluded that the multiple representation test with four-tier model on electricity topic is feasible to use.

This research aims to determine the influence of the PBL model applied through blended learning on improving the problem-solving ability of learners on the concept of light topic physics at the junior high school / MTs level. The research method used by the one group pretest posttest design data was obtained through the provision of a problem-solving test consisting of pre-test and post-test. After the pre test, blended learning was conducted 3 times after that post test was carried out. The sample in the study was a class VIII student at integrated MTs in one of Gorontalo's 25 cities. Research and analysis results show the influence of blended learning on problem-solving skills. The ability to solve problems can be seen from the improvement of learners' problem-solving ability on the concept of light. This can be seen from the comparison of the value obtained in the pre-test and post-test analyzed using N-Gain which is as wide as 0.77 with a high interpretation. Other influence indicators can be seen from the pretest average of 37% while the posttest average is 86%. Improvements also occur in all problem solving indicators.

At the junior high school level, it is expected that learning Physics will provide students with knowledge and skills so that they can develop competency and hone science skills. Heat material is one of the junior high school physics materials which is dominated by concepts and principles so that it is considered difficult by students. The use of effective media can be one of the solution, namely the use of videos and animations in learning Physics. The type of this research is Research and Development which aims to develop videos and animations in learning physics of heat material. The effectiveness in using of videos and animations was carried out in a limited field test, namely in class VII3 SMP N 1 Pariaman even semester 2019/2020 using before and after experiments. The data collection instrument for the effectiveness test was in the form of tests of students' cognitive learning outcomes before and after using videos and animations. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using a correlated t-test. Based on the results of the analysis, the value of tcount = 6.91 and ttable = 2.04 (tcount > ttable). This shows that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes before using videos and animations in learning Physics and learning outcomes after using videos and animations in learning Physics. Thus, it can be said that videos and animations in physics learning are effective heat materials used in physics learning in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman.
