Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of strengthening personal mastery and shared vision on organizational culture in elementary schools. The research is grounded in the premise that a strong organizational culture is essential for fostering a conducive learning environment and enhancing the quality of education. A quantitative approach with a causal associative design was employed, involving 233 teachers from 46 public elementary schools in Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency. The sample was selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to examine the relationships among variables. The results reveal that both personal mastery and shared vision have a significant effect on organizational culture, both partially and simultaneously. The significance values were 0.004 for personal mastery and 0.000 for shared vision. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.455, indicating that 45.5% of the variance in organizational culture is explained by these two variables. These findings highlight the importance of developing teachers’ individual capacities and aligning collective vision as strategic efforts to build adaptive, collaborative, and sustainable school organizational cultures. The findings can serve as a reference for school leaders and policymakers in designing teacher professional development programs and strengthening a shared vision to build adaptive and sustainable school organizational cultures.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of differentiated instruction in improving literacy and numeracy skills of sixth-grade elementary students. A quasi-experimental design involving a control class and an experimental class was employed in Kediri, East Java. A total of 53 students participated, with the experimental group receiving differentiated instruction based on students’ readiness, interest, and learning profiles, while the control group followed conventional teaching. Pre-test and post-test were administered to measure competencies. Results showed significant improvement in both literacy and numeracy skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. Statistical analysis revealed that the experimental group achieved higher mean posttest scores (literacy = 80.1; numeracy = 74.3) than the control group (literacy = 69.1; numeracy = 64.3). Independent sample t-test confirmed significant differences (t[51] = 5.84 for literacy; t[51] = 6.12 for numeracy; p = 0.000 < 0.05). The N-gain values were categorized as moderate (literacy = 0.56; numeracy = 0.52). These findings confirm that differentiated instruction enhances learning outcomes and addresses diverse student needs effectively. The study provides important implications for implementing differentiated learning as part of Kurikulum Merdeka in Indonesian elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the principal's strategy in utilizing social media to enhance communication and collaboration among teachers, parents, and students at SDN 2 Suangi. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that the strategy began with a needs and readiness survey among school stakeholders, followed by selecting WhatsApp as the main communication platform due to its accessibility, familiarity, and cost-effectiveness. Social media was proven effective in accelerating two-way communication and increasing parental involvement. Despite challenges such as low digital literacy and uneven participation, the strategy successfully fostered a collaborative atmosphere and strengthened student learning support at home and school. These results highlight the importance of wisely integrating social media into school communication management, considering accessibility, digital education, and proper supervision. In addition, a well-planned integration of social media can serve as a reference for school principals in optimizing technology-based communication management within elementary education settings.

Abstract

The limited availability of reading materials that suit the characteristics of students and their environment encourages the need for innovative learning media in elementary schools. Based on these problems, this study aims to develop and produce picture story books based on in-depth learning that are appropriate, interesting, and appropriate to the needs of third-grade elementary school students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data obtained in the study were then analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The subjects of this study were 22 third-grade students of Kataan Elementary School. Based on the results of the study, the validation test from material experts obtained a score of 94.4% and media experts 88.8%. The results of limited trials from students obtained a score of 97.18% and teachers obtained a score of 90%. Meanwhile, the results of extensive trials from students obtained a score of 86.7% and teachers obtained a score of 90%. Thus, it can be concluded that this picture story book based on in-depth learning is very suitable for use to support literacy activities in elementary schools.

Abstract

Mastery of multiplication is essential for third-grade students, yet learning often remains limited to memorization, resulting in low numeracy skills. This study aims to develop a Multiplication Board Game as an interactive learning medium to strengthen students’ conceptual and operational understanding of multiplication. Using the ADDIE-based Research and Development (R&D) method, the product was validated by material, media, and instructional design experts, and tested on 19 third-grade students at Kataan Elementary School. Expert validation results showed a feasibility score of 87% (very feasible). The use of this media also improved student learning outcomes, increasing the average score from 62.11 (pre-test) to 81.05 (post-test). Student and teacher responses were in the “very good” category, indicating that the media is engaging, easy to use, and supportive of active learning. Theoretically, the media reinforces constructivist principles by providing concrete, visual, and interactive learning experiences aligned with students’ developmental stages. Practically, the Multiplication Board Game offers teachers an effective alternative to enrich mathematics instruction and enhance students’ numeracy performance.
