Abstract

The current rise in alcoholic trade, in small roadside stalls, even among them has been openly trading alcohol. This results in the ease with which people get liquor. Including the alcoholic trade which is not accompanied by knowledge of the type of alcoholic beverage itself. Many of them do not understand the type of alcohol they can drink or not. Circulation of liquor at this time has not been handled properly, due to the lack of law enforcement against liquor sellers, so that with the easy sale of liquor that is still running it results in children who participate in becoming consumers and consuming liquor so that it has a negative impact on child growth and development. The number of alcoholic parties is certainly not just happening, the ease of people getting liquor makes some people easily drink alcohol. If we look at a number of events, this alcoholic party is carried out by a group of elderly people to high school children who are only a dozen years old. This happens because people can buy liquor easily at convenience stores. The ease of access to liquor is then one of the factors supporting the many alcoholic party events in the community. Another supporting factor from the rise of alcoholic parties in the Cigending Village community is the circulation of illegal alcohol in the community. One of the behaviors of children who reach adolescence is to show their true identity to friends or the environment, with environmental behavior that is not good and is not well cared for by the family can be excessive. In general, teenagers want to be recognized and get special treatment. Negative relationships that influence the use of liquor among teenagers. Liquor can damage the development of child development so there is a need for efforts to protect children from the bad influence of hard miniman as an effort to implement Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. The task of controlling this is in accordance with what is mandated by the Food Law, where the National Police has the right and obligation to control illegal alcoholic drinks without permission in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Efforts to control illegal alcoholic beverages will greatly affect the decline in the incidence of alcoholic drinks because according to several events, people who carry out alcoholic drinks are usually from the lower middle class

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN. No. 026 / XI Cempaka in 2016/2017 in Islamic Education subjects using the cooperative learning model Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type. This research was conducted at SDN. No. 026 / XI Cempaka in 2016/2017, Hamparan Rawang District, Sungai Penuh City, Jambi Province. The study was conducted from January to April 2017. This study involved eight class V students. Class action research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle is conducted in two meetings with four activities, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected in the form of learning outcomes data collected by tests and observations. The data is then processed by a simple statistical test that is by calculating the class average value and the percentage of mastery learning. The results of the study showed that the use of the STAD cooperative learning model could improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN. No. 026/XI Cempaka in 2016/2017 on the subjects of Islamic Education. The average value of students who initially 53.13 increased to 63.75 in Cycle I, and again increased to 75.00 in Cycle II. The percentage of students' mastery learning increased which initially 37.50% increased to 62.50% in Cycle I and again increased to 100.00% in Cycle II. Thus, the STAD type cooperative learning model can be an alternative for teachers to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Education subjects.

Abstract

Speaking learning activity is still low in SMP Negeri 14 Kota Jambi.To overcome this problem researcher chooses Jigsaw cooperative learning model as an alternative to enable learners to speak.This study aims to know the successful of implementation cooperative learning model Jigsaw to improve the quality of the processes and outcomes of learning speaking participationof VIIA grade studentsSMP N 14 Jambi. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects were 32 students of class VIIA SMPN 14 Jambi. The study was conducted three cycles each cycle begins with the planning, implementation, analysis and reflection. The instruments used were observation sheet, field notes, closed questionnaire, and the performance test. Data analysis techniques of quality of process implementation of Jigsaw are done with data reduction, data display, verification and conclusion drawing, while data of learning outcomes qualitywere analyzed by using average formula. The results of the study were classified into two, namely the quality of the learning process and the quality of students’ speaking participation learning outcomes. The quality of the learning process in the first cycle and the second cycle is still low. It can be seen from the students’ low participationin speaking. But in the third cycle the quality of the learning process has been successful. From 32 students, spontaneous expression in first cycle wasonly 8, in second cyclewas16, in third cycle was 24; expressing their opinions as assigned the first cycle was 10, the second cycle was 19, the third cycle 26; responding to the opinion of friends in first cycle was 8, in second cycle was 16, in third cycle 24; asking questions first cycle 9, the second cycle 18, the third cycle 25; answering friends’ / teacher’s questions in first cycle was 10, the second cycle 18, the third cycle 25. Based on these results it can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model Jigsaw can improve process quality and students’ speaking participation learning outcomes. Thus researcher suggests to the teachers to use Jigsaw cooperative model in their teaching learning process. But a classroom action research through Jigsaw model still need to be followed up with more innovative development.

Abstract

There are still many students who do not know how to determine the climate of a country based on its astronomical location. For this reason, the author tries to try to overcome this problem by conducting a Classroom Action research at Muaro Jambi State Middle 8 where the author is on duty. As for the formulation of the problem is whether using globe picture media can improve the ability of class IX B students of Muaro Jambi Middle School 8 in determining the sun's climate in learning geographical elements in the Southeast Asian region? This study aims to improve the ability of class IX B students of Muaro Jambi Middle School 8 in determining the climate of the sun's climate. This research was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle, students are taught how to determine the climate using a globe. The subject matter set for research is the geographical element in the Southeast Asia region. Before doing research, students' ability to determine climate based on their astronomical location obtained 80.77% of students unable to determine the climate. After doing the research, in the first cycle, which was held in two meetings, 61.54% of students were able to determine the climate. Then in the second cycle, the results of 76.92% of students were able to determine the climate and in the third cycle the results were 88.46% of students able to determine the climate of a country. There was a significant increase in students' abilities. Thus the use of globe image media can be used as an alternative to overcome students' difficulties in determining the climate.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of Quantum Learning Method to students’ English learning achievement. This research was pre-experimental design in the form of one group Pretest- Posttest. It was conducted at SMK N 9 Padang. The sample of this research was class X Hotel Acomodation 3 with total number of sample was 27. The instrumentation used as a data collection was test. The findings showed the effectiveness of using quantum learning methods which can be seen from the value of learning achievement. The findings of this research; quantum learning method is quite effective to improve students' English learning achievement on the material "announcement", this is indicated by the value of  5.17 was bigger than the value of  2.060 with level of significance 0.05.

Abstract

This research is aimed to see: (1) The influence of learning facilities toward students learning motivation in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency (2) The influence of learning interest toward students learning motivation in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency (3) The influence of learning environment toward students learning motivation in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency (4) The influence of learning facilities toward students learning achievement in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency (5) The influence of learning interest toward students learning achievement in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency (6) The influence of learning environment toward students learning achievement in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency (7) The influence of learning motivation toward students learning achievement  in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency. The kind of this research is causal descriptive. The research population is all students at grade XI of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency. Number of the population is 750 students in 2016/2017 academic year. The sample was taken by using the technic of Proportional Random Sampling. The research sampling is 261 students out of the whole population. Primary data in this research is taken from questionnaire given to the respondents, and the secondary data, is related to the research object which is presented by other authorities in the form of students learning achievement in final semester examination (UAS) in social science subject. The technic of data analysis is path  analysis with SPSS program 15.0 Version. The research findings are: (1) Learning facilities has significant influence  toward students learning motivation in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency (2) Learning interest has significant influence  toward students learning motivation in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency (3) Learning environment has significant influence  toward students learning motivation in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency (4) Learning facilities have significant influence  toward students learning achievement in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency(5) Learning interest has significant influence  toward students learning achievement in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency(6) Learning environment has significant influence  toward students learning achievement in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency(7) Learning motivation has significant influence  toward students learning achievement in social science subject of vocational schools in Tanah Datar Regency.

Abstract

Background problems in science learning, teachers do not involve students in investigations, students are less trained in developing work (products). The concepts mastered by students are only given by rote by the teacher, students are not taught through a process of discovery that is problem-oriented in everyday life. Based on these problems, the most appropriate solution is to implement the PBI model with smart card media. The general problem formulation is how to improve the quality of science learning in class III 64 / IV SD Negeri Jambi. Whereas specifically is whether through the Problem Based Instruction learning model with smart card media can improve teacher skills, student activities, and student learning outcomes in class III science learning at SD Negeri 64 / IV Jambi City. The general objective of this study was to improve the quality of science learning in third grade students of SD Neegri 64 / IV Jambi City. Specifically, it is to improve teacher skills, student activity, and learning outcomes in class III 64th Natural Science learning. This type of research is classroom action research, using the Problem Based Instruction model with smart card media that is applied in three cycles. Each cycle consists of two cycles with four meetings and four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the study were third grade students of SD Neegri 64 / IV Jambi City even semester 2017/2018. Data collection techniques used tests to measure learning outcomes and student activities using instruments, and observation formats for teacher management in classroom learning. The results of the study showed that for the management of learning in the classroom in cycle 1 was a score of 32, cycle 2 received a score of 38 and cycle 3 obtained a score of 48 with good criteria. The results of the study The activities of students obtain an average score of two meetings in cycle 1 is 25.85 with sufficient criteria; The cycle obtained a score of 45 with good criteria. In cycle 3, the score obtained was 34.25 in the good category. While for student learning outcomes the average percentage of classical completeness from the two meetings in cycle 1 was 56.41%. Cycle 2 obtained the percentage of classical completeness was 64%. In cycle 3, the percentage of classical completeness was 82%. The results of this study have shown that the indicators of success have been achieved so that this study was declared successful. As for the conclusions of this study, through the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model with smart card media can improve teacher learning management, student activities and learning outcomes of class III SD Neegri 64 / IV Jambi City at even semester 2017/2018 school year.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that students are less active in the class and the learning model used is not appropriate so that the results obtained are not maximal. The low learning outcomes of students in PKn subjects are thought to be caused by a mismatch of learning methods used by teachers in PKN learning. The lecture method commonly used by teachers in teaching is one-way learning, so it tends to make students become passive in learning. The research objectives to be achieved in this study are to improve the PKn learning process so that learning outcomes increase by applying the Jigsaw model of class VI.A Negeri SD 64 / IV Jambi City. This study uses action research as much as two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: design, activity and observation, reflection, and revision. The target of this study was class VI A 64 / IV SD Negeri Jambi City. Data obtained in the form of the results of teacher learning management, and student learning outcomes. From the results of the analysis it was found that student learning outcomes experienced an increase from cycle I to cycle II. The Jigsaw model can improve the quality of learning Civics and Jigsaw Model has a positive impact on improving student learning outcomes which is characterized by an increase in student learning completeness in each cycle, namely pre cycle (50.00%), cycle I (65.00%), sklus II (85.00%). The average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle is 71.72 and the second cycle increases to 80.77. While for the management of teacher learning in the first cycle only reached 44.64% and the second cycle increased to 86.61%, and the Jigsaw learning model could be used as an alternative to PKn learning.

Abstract

Interprofessional collaboration (IPC) between nurses and doctors is associated with good outcomes for patients, especially in hospitalizations. Different professional cultures can be a barrier to nurses and doctors in an IPC effective and efficient. Effective IPC is important to ensure patient safety. To analyze how the image of Professional Care Givers is different in implementing IPC at Jambi Special Hospital. The research was cross-sectional, the population were nurses, doctors, pharmacists and nutritionists in Jambi Province Special Hospital 105 samples. Sampling with total sampling. AITCS research instruments that have been modified as needed. Most of the application of IPC to Professional Care Givers in Jambi Province Special Hospital both on the partnership dimension, coordination, shared decision-making is only on the clearest reciprocal differences in the dimension of cooperation which is more than half less good. Conclusion: It is expected that the special hospital of Jambi Province will organize more integrated patient center care, which will have consequences for the implementation of the IPC, especially in terms of perceived cooperation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in Economics lessons through the Inquiry model in class X students. IPS.1 Tanjung Jabung Timur 9 High School. This research was conducted in Tanjung Jabung Timur 9 High School in the academic year 2018/2019. This research is classroom action research with research procedures covering the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were all students of class X. IPS.1 Tanjung Nabung Timur High School 9 9 which consisted of 36 students consisting of 16 male students and 20 female students. The object of this research is the application of the Inquiry model to improve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, documentation, journal and test assessment. Analysis of data obtained by calculating the percentage of graduation of students in high-level thinking skills. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in Higher Order Thinking Skills in Economics in class X students. IPS.1 SMA N 9 Tanjung Jabung Timur. It can be seen that the average increase and graduation from cycle to cycle. In the first cycle the percentage of student graduation was 36.11% and HOTS was 13, and in the second cycle it increased by 41.67% with HOTS as many as 15.
