Abstract

This study aims to describe the maturity of religious behavior in adolescents, especially boarding junior high school students. There are three aspects that are seen from the maturity of religious behavior in adolescents, namely aspects of thoughts, feelings and actions. Based on the analysis of the relevant literature, this study developed 111 items that describe the maturity of religious behavior in adolescents. The sample of this study was 230 students of grade IX boarding school. Item validity and reliability are measured by IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The result, 1) Pearson Product Moment 2-Tailed Correlation produces 107 items declared valid and only 4 items are invalid; and 2) Cronbach's Alpha (?) reliability coefficient is 0.96 which means very high. The collected data is then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. Abstract

Self identity is an important component that shows the individual's personal identity. Individuals who succeed in forming their identities will help them to take the right role in their lives, while for teenagers who do not succeed in forming their identities, they will be confused about their role in life. Many factors influence self-identity. Gender, birth order, parental marital status, and parenting affect adolescent self-identity. This article will describe the correlation between these factors and self-identity.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to reveal the level of sense of school belonging in Yogyakarta City State Vocational High School students. Sense of school belonging is a feeling of being personally accepted, respected, recognized, supported, cared for, treated fairly and a feeling of happiness and safety in the school environment. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. Data collection techniques use the sense of school belonging scale which was adapted from The Psychological Sense of School Membership (PSSM) Scale developed by Carol Goodenow. Data analysis uses quantitative data analysis. The study subjects were 193 out of seven schools in Yogyakarta City State Vocational School. The results showed that 30.05% of students of Yogyakarta City Vocational High School had a level of sense of school belonging to a high category, 69.95% were in the moderate category and 0% in the low category. The results of this study become a preliminary study for school counselors in designing guidance and counseling programs to improve the sense of school belonging to students.

Abstract

Career confusion can inhibit confidence in determining the goals of future plans. Information on the characteristics of self-efficacy career decision making is needed as an effort to develop one's behavior and skills. Self-efficacy is the individual's trust in his ability to do something. The process of identifying previous journals through searches in the last 16 years (2000-2017) through electronic media, books, Google Scholar, Elsevier, and Sage. The results showed the characteristics of self-efficacy career decision making in adolescents were self-assessment, job information, goal selection, planning, and problem solving. The results of this study could be one of the references of knowledge for students, teachers, and parents in making career decisions in adolescents.

Abstract

The long-term goal of this research is the implementation of the development of service guidelines to increase student learning commitment so that they are able to support the optimal development and learning process, and are ready to face various challenges in the life process in the future. The specific objective of this research is to get a real picture of the profile of the development of learning commitment of high school students in the Indihiang District of Tasikmalaya District and the effectiveness of experiential based counseling services to increase student learning commitment. This study uses a quantitative-qualitative approach and uses the quasi-experimental method with pretest-posttest design. Data collection using questionnaires revealed the achievement of student learning commitment which was analyzed by inferential statistical analysis techniques. The results of the study showed an increase of 5.28% commitment to study high school students after participating in the unit of experiential learning activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the enthusiasm of students in group guidance in schools to develop the strength of the character of simplicity (temprance) and to find out its implications for guidance and counseling. The researcher observed the character of equality to eight respondents who were given group guidance treatment then gave quantification with the instrument in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire that was calculated cumulatively. To see the difference in the strength of the character of simplicity, researchers compared the strength of character with students from the control class as many as eight people as well. The results showed that there was no difference in the character of simplicity between students in the experimental group and the control group significantly at 0.05. Researchers see fe-nomena This is due to the lack of conducive filling of pre-test instruments and post-tests, besides that research is more effective if one indicator of the strength of the character is simplicity because it is more focused. The research can be further developed with different techniques and qualitative data so that the results are more maximal. However, from the results of enthusiastic observations students took high group guidance, because students felt they had just received the guidance service and students could also conclude and take the meaning of each group guidance service provided.
