Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce products such as phytoremediation handbook for the course of Environmental Pollution. This study uses a model of research and development Borg & Gall until the fifth stage is a major product revision. Data obtained from the handbook development expert validation sheet material, teaching materials experts, education professionals (lecturers), and students, who then all the data is analyzed. The results of the validation calculation shows the results valid and sufficient valid and does not need revision, but the revision is still being done by taking into account suggestions and comments provided by all validator to fix the product. Results of the study are the product of the handbook entitled "Phytoremediation (Efforts to Maintain Quality Water Environment)" which has advantages such as: easy to understand language and accompanied by images that support, each chapter comes with questions related to environmental issues that can be fishing mindset of students to be more concerned about the environment and find solutions to problems, an explanation of phytoremediation, application and impact of the plant is described in full, while the drawback is still keeping up the real issues waters in Indonesia, tools and materials for research must be clearly stated so the procedure can work well understood, as well as the need for a glossary to explain terms of biology that are important. Abstract

Abstract In studying the concept of biology is not only enough to memorize it but it is necessary to have a direct learning experience by linking between the subject matter obtained with real life everyday. Lecturers no longer act as a learning resource that always convey materials to the students and make presentations, but acts as a mentor and facilitate for students willing and able to learn. Students are not regarded as a learning object that can be restricted and organized according to the lecturers' wishes, but students are placed as subjects who can learn according to their talents, interests, and abilities. Lecturers are required to be creative and innovative in developing also apply learning tools in accordance with the learning style and characteristics of the students. Where lecturers should be able to determine the appropriate learning model in teaching, so that there is an active interaction between students, lecturers with students, and students with the environment. Learning Cooperative learning can make it easier for students to learn. Students will describe the digestive system, so that the learning experience that students get through the activities during the learning will improve students' understanding. The method used in the research using experimental method with the design of One Group Pratest-Postest Design. From the analysis of the development of pretest and posttest values, in this study showed an increased posttest score, student response analysis of the Cooperative Learning Type Pair Chekk show students are motivated to follow the learning. Abstract

Abstract This study was aimed to answer a research question, is there any significant correlation between students’ motivation and English achievement at the fourth semester of English department at Islamic University of Malang. This study is classified into descriptive research and for more specific; the researcher used quantitive design, which is correlation study. The procedure of this study used the correlation formula of Person Product Moment. Based on the calculation of this research, the result of correlation between two variables is lower than the critical value. The research hypothesis was rejected and the null hypothesis was accepted. In other words, if this research had used only motivation as independent variable, it would not had significant correlation to the students’ English achievement of the fourth semester students of English department at Islamic University of Malang. Abstract

ABSTRACT Talking about the issue of education, however the form of education, both education in general and Islamic education in particular will not be separated by the learning process. Education is a conscious and well-planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning and learning process so that learners actively develop their potential to have spiritual spiritual power, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, as well as the skills needed of him and society. Islamic religious education is the most important part of family education to form the human kamil. In guiding or educating a child let parents use the method or way, so that the education provided can affect the child. In this case the method has an important role in the process of character formation. Islamic education method as a regular and systematic way of working and thinking of all the factors that exist to achieve the goal of Islamic religious education. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe: (1) the effectiveness of the cooperative teaching model of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) type, (2) the effectiveness of the cooperative teaching model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type, and (3) the more effective teaching model between the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) type and Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type, viewed from students’ achievement. This research was a quasi-experimental study using two experimental groups. The data analysis techniques consisted of: 1) the one sample t-test carried out to investigate the effectiveness of the TPS-type and the NHTI-type in each variable; 2) the multivariate analysis carried out to investigate the difference in the effectiveness of the TPS-type and the NHT-type on one dependent variables; 3) the post-hoc test involving the Bonferroni procedure carried out to analyze which one was more effective between the TPS-type and the NHT-type in terms of students’ achievement. The result of study shows that viewed from the learning achievement (1) the cooperative teaching model of TPS is effective, (2) the cooperative teaching model of NHT is effective, and (3) there is no difference in the effectiveness between TPS type and NHT type cooperative teaching models. Keywords: TPS, NHT, Mathematical Learning Achievement Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika, 2) keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika, 3) model pembelajaran yang lebih efektif antara tipe TPS dibandingkan dengan tipe NHT ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang menggunakan dua kelompok eksperimen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi: 1) one sample t-test yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan TPS dan NHT pada masing-masing variabel; 2) analisis multivariat yang digunakan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan keefektifan TPS dan NHT secara simultan; 3) uji lanjut dengan prosedur Bonferroni, yang digunakan untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran yang lebih efektif antara TPS dan NHT ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika; 2) pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT efektif ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika; 3) tidak terdapat perbedaan keefektifan antara model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan tipe NHT ditinjau dari prestasi belajar matematika.
