Abstract

The aims of this research is to answer the problem whether there are: 1) influence of the social economical condition of the village towards an attitude of the environmental health; 2) influence of the level of the educational background towards an attitude of the environmental health; and 3) interaction between social economical condition of village and the level of educational background in influencing an attitude towards environmental health. All the researches are applied to the Majaksingi society, Borobudur Sub District, Magelang Regency. The survey method and sampling technique of the research is done by the method of multistage ramdom sampling. The instruments to obtain the data are: 1) questionnaire in the form of Likert scale to measure and attitude towards the environmental health; 2) poll to distinguish the social economical condition of village and the level of educational background of the society. The technique of data analysis is employing Two Way Anova, with Factorial 2x2 designs. Before the process of data analysis, there is a test of analysis requirement by employing Normality Distribution Sample Test and Homogeneity Varian Test.Based on the research result, it is suggested that the social economical condition in less advanced village must be increased by applying the government program which cover the effort to increase the economical condition and to omit the negative social habits which can harm the environmental health. Beside that, the educational level of the society in isolated village in Menoreh Tenggara Majaksingi village must be given on opportunity to increase it. Only employing that way, their attitude toward enronmental health will rise up, and hopefully their environmental health will better. By knowing that there is no interaction between social economical condition of the village and the level of educational background, it indicated tha the theory of interaction cannot be applied to the two variables which have big influence towards the environmental health. The two variables do not depend on each other.

Abstract

The research of credit Impact for Rural Income Generation Project (RIGP) on Family Farmers Income and Expenditure is aimed to know program impact to educational aspect, family-member health and SFFs community social activity. And economically the research also have purpose to know credit impact on venture volume, income, family consumption, as well on employment and income distribution. The research is conducted in Grobogan District Central Java, on 222 SFFs, 12 sub-districts, 42 villages, and 44 Small Farmer Group (SFGs) of RIGP program participant, by using descriptive analysis, regression analysis model, and Gini Index as well poverty index. The research result shows descriptively occurred significant quite improvement for physical condition and SFFs family environment of RIGP program participant, which shown by the higher family-member percentage following formal education level, higher utility percentage of health facility and SFFs behavior change for participating in community social activity in their village.Based on statistical calculation it is obtained tat low category credit value impact on SFFs employment (t-cal=4.143), which have impact on income (t-cal=1.839). But high category credit value, the credit addition even reducing SFFs employment itself (t-cal=2.133). This is caused by for uncreating market, marketing network and product/venture diversification from SFFs. For middle category credit value, credit value impact on venture volume (t-cal=2.051), which has impact on consumption (t-cal=2.439).While SFFs income distribution of RIGP participant in Grobogan District it is obtained value (GC=0.32), be in middle inequality (GC=0.30 to 0.40), which means that relative income less spread unaveragely in each SFFs program participant. And for middle category credit, GC value is relative higher compared to high and low category credit value, namely as large as (GC=0.35). This value shows that income distribution for each SFFs of middle category credit receiver exists significant quite income inequality, which reative higher than high and low category credit value receiver SFFs.Furthermore, based on poverty standard of Grobogan District which measured based on income per capita/month as large as Rp. 74.007,- it has been achieved value 51,35% credit receiver SFFs still be in poor condition, with the lowest inequality level on high category credit receiver as large as PG=0,1801.

Abstract

In developing countries, however, the farmer organizations are still weak in one side and there are a variety of constraints in development of such organizations in other side. Similar experience occurs with farmer organizations in District of Sukoharjo. With this context, it is necessary for the agricultural service to carry out an action plan to promote farmer organizations in order to enhance self reliance of the organizations.  A conceptual framework should be formulated based on the following considerations: (a) continue the existing program of farmer organizations developed and its improvement in the future; (b) analyze the strengths and weakness of the existing farmer organizations; (c) establish the ideal conditions of the farmer organizations, especially in term of self reliance. This studi formulates an alternaiveframework for intervention which cover the followings: (a) increase  the capacity of extension agents, especially in delivering guidance and technical assistant; (b) increase the capacity of farmer organizations to formulate participatory plan; (c) enhance the role of extension agents, especially in facilitating the activities of farmer organizations.Improvement of the capacity of farmer organizations can be done through increasing motivation (AMT), master of technique of productive activities and it is important to assist the organizations for their marketing products. Motivation and stimulation services shoul be directed to self reliance process of the farmer organizations and the members.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze some factors that influence the corn supply in Central Java, and to analyze the corn supply elasticity in Central Java. The basic method used in this research is descriptive method. The location of this research stated with purposive, that is Central Java Province. And the data used in this research is secondary data. The analysis results the value of adjusted determination coefficient that is 87,6% and F-test analysis results that F-count (18,632) is greater than F-table (3,79) means that all the independent variables used in this research, which are corn’s harvested area in the recent year, corn’s production in the previous year, corn’s price in the previous year, peanut’s price in the previous year, urea fertilizer’s price in the previous year and the average of rainfall along the plant time influence in the together to the corn supply in Central Java. The results of t-test shows that corn’s harvested area in the recent year, corn’s production in the previous year, corn’s price in the previous year and urea fertilizers price in the previous year variables are the significant influential independent variables to the corn supply in Central Java. While based on the partial regression coefficient value of the significant influential independent variables, it is found that the corn’s harvested area in the recent area year has the highest value (0,992), so this variable has the greatest influence to the corn supply in Central Java. The corn supply elasticity in Central Java to the harvested area (0,948), corn’s production in the previous year (0,434), corn’ price in the previous year (0,709), urea fertilizer’s price in the previous year (0,161) in short-run is tend to be inelastic. While in long-run, corn’s supply is tend to be elastic to the corn’s harvested are (1,696) and corn’s price in the previous year (1,296). And corn supply is tend to be inelastic to the corn’s production in the previous year (0,777) and urea fertilizer’ price in the previous year (0,289).The results of this research shows that the corn’s farmers in Central Java in planting corn take the decisions based on profit (profit oriented) and have high response of the changing of corn’s harvested area in Central Java.
