Abstract

Clubroot (Plasmodiophora brassicae Wor.) is an important obstacle in growing the brassicaceae, including chine cabbage. The infection of the pathogen is frequently complicated by Meloidogyne. This research was aimed to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of botanical pesticide with base material of leaf of Tithonia diversifolia Grey to control clubroot pathogen and Meloidogyne on chines cabbage grown by organic system. The research was conducted in Tawangmang, Karanganyar, Central Java from September until November 2010. The land used, was endemic area of clubroot and gall root of Meloidogyne. The experiment was consisted of 10 treatments arranged by randomized design with 3 replications. A unit treatment is a bed with area of 1x4 m2, high of 30 cm and the gap of between the bed by 50 cm. chines cabbage were planted with the distance of 10x10 cm. organic fertilizer amendment was applied the compost with dosage of 50 ton/ha (30 ton/ha a day before planting and 20 ton/ha on 14 days after planting), leaf of Tithonia with dosage of 0,5, 1,0, 1,5, and 2,0 ton/ha, and the frequency of 1 week before planting and 2 week after planting.  The dependent variables were the disease intensity of clubroot, population of Meloidogyne, weigh of healthy lateral root, height of plant, weigh of crop yield, and weigh of dry biomass. The results suggested that the leaf extract of Tithonia could be effective to reduce population of the Meloidogyne spp., by the recommended that the leaf extract of Tithonia could be as a control component of complicated infection of clubroot pathogen and Meloidogyne spp. on growing the brassicaceae.

Abstract

The decline of soil organic matter in the low of soil productivity. To increase soil of productivity and returns back bearing capacity of the plant, then the business can be done for example by encouraging re-use of organic fertilizers. The study titled “Engineering super organic fertilizer formula in vegetable cultivation on spinach (Amaranthus sp) aims to a). getting a super-organic fertilizer formula, the most good, b). knowing the influence of various super organic fertilizer formula on growth and yield of vegetable Amaranthus sp. The experiment was conducted from April to November 2010. Five kinds of super-organic fertilizer, which is an engineering formula fertilizer that s made from a mixture of manure, sawdust, dolomite, rock phosphate, molasses and starch in the form of granules, making it easier in applying and provide with the same dose. As ground control does not super plus organic fertilizer. Research using Randomized Complete Block Design (RAKL) single factor. The observed variables are observed 1. Independent variables: a. Without organic fertilizer and b. The use of super-organic fertilizer formula 2. Dependent variables include soil chemical properties (properties which are used as a determinant of soil fertility), which consist of: soil pH, soil organic matter content (organic C), cation exchange capacity (KPK), Burnout base (KB), and P is available, and growth spinach plants. The results showed that: super organic fertilizer formula is best P5G2 (mixture of manure, rock phosphate and dolomite with starch adhesive), proved its influence on growth and yield of spinach, either on plant fresh weight, dry weight, root volume and uptake of N gave the highest yield compared with other treatments.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yaitu membuat formula pakan sumber protein terproteksi dengan metode Coating urea sebagai sumber nitrogen untuk mengoptimalkan sintesis mikrobia rume guma meningkatkan kecernaan pakan. Mengetahui pengaruh proteksi protein terhadap parameter kinetika rumen dan  aktivitas biokimia mikrobia rumen sehingga bioekologi dan biofermentasi rumen masih pada kisaran yang normal baik secara in vivo. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara in vivo, yang berlokasi di kandang percobaan Jatikuwung, Jurusan Peternakan, UNS. Ransum dicobakan pada ternak dengan materi penelitian domba ekor tipis sebanyak 16 ekor dengan lama pemeliharaan selama 4 bulan. Ransum yang diberikan adalah hijauan berupa rumput dan konsentrat yang mengandung sumber protein terproteksi dengan lemak, yaitu urea, sumber lemak yaitu minyak sawit, dengan perlakukan ure:minyak adalah 1:1, 2:1 dan 3:1. Rerata konsumsi pakan (BK) domba lokal jantan yang diberi perlakuan P0, P1, P2, dan P3 adalah 798,70, 673,44, 684,07 dan 641,71 gr/ekor/hr, pertambahan bobot badan sebesar 53,57, 31,75, 45,09, 32,44 gr. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi coating-urea ke dalam ransum basal belum memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap konsumsi, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi pakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sektor pertanian termasuk sektor perekonomian lainnya di Kabupaten Boyolali menjadi 4 kelompok: sektor Prima, sektor Berkembang, sektor Potensial dan sektor Terbelakang sebagai dasar untuk mengembangkan sektor pertanian di Kabupaten Boyolali. Metode dasar yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitik dengan menggunakan data sekunder berupa data Produk Domestik Regional Bruto Kabupaten Boyolali dan Propinsi Jawa Tengah Tahun 2004-8. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis Tipologi Klassen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Kabupaten Boyolali terdapat dua sektor Prima yaitu sektor Konstruksi dan Bangunan serta sektor Jasa-Jasa. Sektor Berkembang meliputi sektor Pertambangan dan Penggalian serta sektor Listrik, Gas dan Air Bersih. Sektor potensial meliputi sektor Pertanian, Industri Pengolahan dan sektor Perdagangan, Hotel dan Restoran. Sektor pertanian belum merupakan sektor prima sehingga diperlukan berbagai upaya dan strategi pengembangan untuk meningkatkan kinerja sektor pertanian.

Abstract

LOCATION: was conducted at Ngulang, Gedongrejo, Giriwoyo, Wonogiri district. With the TITLE: the use of Syperus ratandus (rumput gelagah) and Vetivera zizanoides (akar wangi) fr river edge and riverbank reinforcement at Ngulang, Gedongrejo, Giriwoyo, Wonogiri district. PURPOSE: 1) to response the desire and requirement if surrounding society to protect and prevent he Bengawan Solo upper riverbank from sliding and flood threat; 2) socialization a model of soil and water conservation by cultivating Syperus ratandus and Vetivera zizanoides that supported by the society; 3)  to motivate the society for cultivate the Vetivera zizanoides, which both economical, conservation innovation and networking. METHOD: 1) field observation; 2) focus group discussion. RESULT: plot model conservation 700x20 m (left and right side of riverbank) and giving example akar wangi one lane all along the river (±700 m), 2) unionize a riverbank observers group. CONCLUSION: 1) the surrounding society of Ngulang are positively response to this activity; 2) the riverbank observer group of the surrounding society was formed, called as “Ngudi Mulyo”; 3) plot model conservation (±700 m); 4) when the river flood, akar wangi and gelagah actually can protect and prevent the riverbank. IMPLICATION: 1) institution strengthening, 2) development for the peasants that do not obtain the facilities at this program, 3) training of livestock waste and litter management, 4) market network strengthening.

Abstract

Condition of impecunious household food security will progressively susceptible if impecunious household live in area of disaster gristle for example floods disaster. This research aims are to identify the condition of economic social and impecunious household food security in floods gristle area. Research conducted in area of gristle of floods of Town Surakarta cover the Joyontakan, Semanggi, Sangkrah, Kampung Sewu, Jagalan, and Pucangsawit research method used analytical descriptive method. Data of food security condition taken with the interview use the questionnaire from 15 sample household to the each region. Result of research known that economic condition social of impecunious household in area of floods gristle are: a) Most storey level of education of husband and wife are finish elementary school, b) Most work lead household as labor and most of wife do not work or as housewife, c) impecunious household earnings equal to Rp. 1.294.577,77 per month which is as big of earnings come from husband, d) biggest consumption expenditure proportion is food consumption to totalizing expenditure, e) expenditure proportion consume the biggest food at vegetable group, f) expenditure proportion consume biggest non food at housing group. Impecunious household in area of flood gristle Surakarta included in a household which food insecurity.

Abstract

Community empowerment is a process to facilitate and encourage the community to be able to put themselves in proportion and become the main actors in the use of strategic environment to achieve a long-term sustainability. The development of productive economic activities is a rational option for strengthening the local economy and local development potential  in communities around the forest. The purpose of this study were 1) know the mapping of local commodities that have the potential to be empowered, 2) know the introduction of appropriate technologies that meet the characteristics of the local potential, 3) drafting of strategies for developing productive economic activities in vulnerable poverty communities around the forest, the basic method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted in communities around the Dam of Kedungombo in Ngargotirto Village, Sub district of Sumberlawang, District of Sragen. The approach used in this study is the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal). The analysis used is a social institution analysis, stakeholder analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of the study concluded that Ngargotirto Village the postscript is a community around the forest take a relatively longer in the development of productive economic activities compared with the rice fields, or near urban communities. Viewed from the socio cultural perspective is not ready to receive industrialization in their lives and still occur clash between the culture industry and an agrarian culture. In an effort to stimulate and develop the productive economic activities, it needs a strategy that can build the foundation for productive economic activities, namely: 1) strategic forum for dialogue facilitation to synergize stakeholder, 2) institutional strengthening productive economic activities, 3) improve the capability sources human resources, 4) apply the appropriate technology. For that, the starting point in the development of productive economic activities in local communities is to synergize the clash of cultures.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan UMMB Plus terhadap performan/tampilan produksi kambing PE jantan. Materi yang digunakan adalah kambing PE jantan sebanyak 15 ekor yang dibagi dalam tiga macam perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Adapun perlakuan yang diberikan adalah P0 (60 hijauan), P1 (hijauan + konsentrat), dan P2 (hijauan + UMMB Plus). Parameter yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH), konversi pakan, dan feed cost per gain. Data konsumsi, PBBH dan konversi pakan dianalisis variansi Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), sedangkan untuk feed cost per gain diperoleh secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata dari ketiga perlakuan yaitu P0, P1, dan P2 berturut-turut untuk konsumsi bahan kering harian (kg) 0,42, 0,86, dan 0,63, PBBH (kg/hari) 0,01; 0,05; 0,02, konversi pakan 42,00, 17,28, dan 31,62. Sementara untuk feed cost per gain (Rp) 52.500,00, 30.282,21, 91,327,21. Hasil analisis variansi untuk konsumsi BK, PBBH, dan konversi pakan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang nyata. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah penggunaan pakan supplemen UMMB Plus memberikan tampilan produksi kambing PE jantan yang lebih baik disbanding pemeliharaan dengan pakan hijauan, akan tetapi lebih rendah disbanding penggunaan konsentrat.

Abstract

Soybean crop area that is unstable causing the production of soybean in the District Grobogan as one of the centers in Central Java soybean fluctuated sharply. This study aims to 1) Review and analyze the factors that affect soybean supply in the District Grobogan and 2) Review and analyze the elasticity of supply in the District Grobogan soybean due to changes in the factors that influence it. He method used in this research is descriptive method. Determination of the study area is done by purposive technique with consideration of the area has the largest soybean yield compared to other districts, namely Grobogan district with 15,71 quintal per hectare productivity. Results of secondary data analysis states that the supply function model of soybean in the District Grobogan is Qt = bo + 13,544 Pt-1 to 0,098 Qt-1 + 1,404 At – Purea 24,119 – 3,077 + 7,191 Wt PSP36 with coefficient of determination 0,891 Calculated F value obtained at 15,030, which means that the variable price of soybeans a year earlier, the amount of soybean production last year, the total area harvested during the year, the price of urea fertilizer, the price of SP 36 on the year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of empowerment of the poor in disaster-prone areas Selo Sub District and produce a model formulation of the empowerment of the poor in an effort to realize the optimization potential of agro farms with local resources. Expected outcomes of this research is the publication of scientific journal of local/national and the formulation of a model of empowerment of the poor in disaster-prone areas as an effort to create the livestock agrotourism. The method to determine the location and sampling of respondents is to cluster sampling technique (sampling area). This research uses research explanations. To determine the empowerment of communities to use the method of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA). PRA and RRA is a method that puts the community as researchers, planners, implementers, as the appraisal of development programs so that researchers and stakeholders who are involved as facilitators and community as the implementer. Data collection technique is observation, documentation, interviews and focus group discussion (FGD). Data analysis in the formulation of a model of empowerment of the poor in disaster-prone areas as an effort to create livestock agrotourism by Pearson correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, path analysis method, the process of empowerment of citizens and SWOT analysis. The results of this research is already done survey research sites to see the condition of the villages that will be studied. A visit to the village government for approaching the village officials. In order to dig up information to determine the profile, potential and problems faced by each of the villages have been carried out PRA. However, due to the catastrophic eruption of Merapi volcano constraints, the implementation of the research has not been resolved.
