Abstract

Abstract:  Social welfare institution for children is one of the child protection agency that serves to provide protection for the rights of children. In addition, the social welfare institution for children is also combined with a means of learning Islam and applicative skills training activities. As efforts in tackling poverty and equitable distribution of welfare for children in Surakarta, social welfare institution for children is present to provide an opportunity for the orphans and dhuafa to get caregiving generating children that educated, skilled, immoral, and noble character according to the word of Allah to glorify and improve the situation of orphans in QS Al Baqoroh, 2: 220. Islamic architecture showing the application of elements of Islam through the beauty that is rich in meaning and each details contain elements of symbolism and meaning. One of the meanings of the Islamic architecture is shown a sense of admiration of the beauty and aesthetics of the architecture is inseparable from the resignation and surrender to the Majesty of Allah as the owner of all the essence of beauty. Keywords: Social welfare institution for children, Surakarta, Islamic architecture

Abstract

Abstract The background for the establishmentof prison Class IIA in Purwokerto has been encouraged by three things. Firstly, the excess of the capacity of the prisoners which has already increased into 300%.  Secondly, the  lack of the facility for assimilation  activities . Thirdly, the aspect of security which is considered as the most crucial aspect of the establishment of the  prison . As considering those three backgrounds, an adequate facility that can give guarantee  to the safety of the prisoner as well as their  activities and indirectly can accommodate the assimilation activities shall be created. Moreover, the Emphasis on security systems in the establishment of the prison shall be concered and well implemented, as security aspect is the most important aspect in the architectural plan of the building. Furthermore, the Security aspect is divided into internal security, external security and security of the building. The result is the design of a prison that embodies four main necessities, such as public facilities, detention facilities,closed  prison facilities and Open Prison Facilities. Finally, the arrangement of the capacity of the prisoners for short term and long term, the availability of the sufficient facilities that can accommodate the activities in prison, and the security aspect of the prison are put in  the design planning of the building, so that an idealand safe prison that can facilitate as well as accomodate the assimilation activities of the prisoners can be attained.  Keywords Architecture, Prison, Overcapacity, Assimilation, Safety System

Abstract

Abstract : Underground music space in Surakarta planning was motivated by an underground music communities in Surakarta but the facilities to accommodate their activities was minim, it was happen because the publics do not like them because their image of underground peoples was negative. The purpose of this design in addition to facilitating the activities of the underground music community where they actually produce a creative things also to inform to public that the image of underground music communities are not negative, so that the perpetrators of underground music is not always behave badly, then there is a psychotherapy applied in the design of the underground music space. The method used in a n underground music space was the method of architectural design as well as methods of healing through with a psychotherapy. The results obtained by the design is able to accommodate the underground music activities to producing creation and psychotherapy system was applied indirectly (non-medical) through the design of buildings and building regulations in the underground music space for make a place who will be accepted by public and will therapy users. Keywords :  Architecture, underground music, underground music activity, non-medical psychotherapy

Abstract

Abstract: Social rehabilitation center for physical disability (blind, hearing and speech impaired, and physically disabled) in Surakarta is a coaching spot that provide basic services, psychosocial rehabilitation services, health rehabilitation services, provision of additional knowledge and skills, and change behavior rehabilitation services in Surakarta. Disability means people who have limited or different abilities. The goal of the social rehabilitation center that is intended for people who have the physical disorder or limitations (disability) that are sight, hearing, speech and body through character approach interaction with disability coequal or the physical environment. The goal is to create a physical place as a place of rehabilitation and counseling for physical disability that is blind, hearing and speech impaired, and physically disabled to live independently by providing infrastructure facilities appropriate accessibility standards (safe, easy, and convenient) for them and give place socialization/interaction place with physical disabilities as well socialization  place between physical disability with the community so that they can co-existence with as provision of independent living in the community through a behavioral approach in architecture. Key words: Social rehabilitation center, physical disability, accessibility

Abstract: - Globalization and technological development impact on all sectors, one of which is an graphic design activity. Shift function graphic design, the development of design services and the emergence of community graphic design is the impact. The background design of Graphic Design Center By Metaphore Architectural Approach Case Study In Yogyakarta is the number of service providers graphic design that require a space to promotion, communities graphic design in Yogyakarta and the design of the course place that are unreflection the character of graphic design. The purpose is to realize the physical character of graphic design as a place of cultural development and activities of graphic design. The problems design is how to realize the character of graphic design into the physical form of the building. Methods used is the Metaphore Architectural approach to bring up the visual code form the characteristic and element of graphic design into the bulding through the process of analogy. The results obtained is the design of the graphic design center that reflecting the character of graphic design as a place of the development design activities and community of graphic design in Yogyakarta.Key words: Graphic design, visual code, element graphic design, metaphore architecture

Abstract

Abstract: This zoo is a place of tourist activities that focuses on education to the community provides learning about animals’ lives in their environment, as a means of wildlife animals and environment conservation by applying ecological architecture approach. The issue raised is how to formulate the concept of planning and designing a zoo as a place of humans and animals in doing their activity which can promote harmony to the environment. In order to solve the problem, ecological architecture approach is applied to generate a convenient zoo for humans, animals, and the environment. Abstract

Abstract: The communal spaces of the Kemlayan village is a container used as an expression of Kemlayan culture related to creative industries, social activities village and arts. This communal space is shared spaces that are molded into a tourist village in Surakarta to restore the image of Kemlayan as artisan village in Surakarta. Located in one of crowded areas in Surakarta, Kemlayan is very strategic and easily to reach from Slamet Riyadi street. It is local support also make it as an ideal tourist village. The problem in design that often arises is how to formulate the concept of Kemlayan communal spaces as a tourist village in Surakarta with contextual architecture approach. The methods used are the identification of problems arised with the function, roles and terms of the building which give the specification of the building physical expression into design concept. Abstract: Planning and design of stroke hospital in Surakarta as a healing environment through Sustainable Architecture approach in setting the background by a stroke as a major cause of death and disability in Indonesia, especially the city of Surakarta . Unavailability of stroke services in a holistic place and stroke recovery means it needs to act quickly affect the patient’s recovery process by utilizing the natural elements and implement energy efficiency in buildings, so the purpose of this scheme is to obtain a building design which gives the facility of prevention , treatment , recovery , and increase the independence of patients after stroke by applying the principles of sustainable architecture in creating a design environment healer . The method used is descriptive qualitative design method to analyze the theory of Sustainable Architecture and Environmental healer that can affect the healing process faster stroke . The result is a hospital building design that embodies the physical container as a healing environment for patients with stroke and able to influence the pace of the recovery process of stroke patients by applying the application of the principles of sustainable architecture . Abstract: The development of information and technology are rapidly giving a major influence on many areas of industry, one of the industry is video games and animation, therefore ther is a need for a place that can accommodate activities in the field of video games and animation. Video Games and Animation Center in Yogyakarta is a place that serves to accommodate all industrial activities in the field of video games and animation to enhance the potential of the industry in Yogyakarta. These activities include production activities , educational activities , promotional activities , and recreational activities for the general public. The goal of the Video Games and Animation Center that is intended for people who want to learn and create games and animations, games and animation studio production who want to promote their products, as well as a gathering place for the community of gamers and animation to socialize. The goal is to create a physical place as a place of production , education, promotion , and recreation in order to increase people's appreciation for video games and animation industry by providing infrastructure facilities required as well as providing a place for socialization for gamers and animation community using metaphor architecture approach to the realization of the building form. Abstract

Abstract: Building performance is a building used to perform the art community, not least the art of music and contemporary dance. The background shows the design of the building is often the holding of contemporary music and dance performances, both nationally and internationally. Currently there are no buildings that meet the performance criteria as a building shows in the city of Surakarta. The purpose of the show is generating building design concept planning and design that can accommodate all aspects of the activities in it, including the function of the building as a means of entertainment shows, means of information and education functions. Thus the performance of buildings can be useful for the general public and artists. There are the problems of designing buildings contemporary music and dance performances representative so as to accommodate all the activities in it, creating a cozy atmosphere, decent as building performances, good acoustics and the image of the building blend with the surrounding environment. The issue to be solved include the location of new building, site plans, planning the mass, the space program, acoustic system, circulatory system, mass composition, as well as the structure and utility buildings. Shows the planned building will be expressed in the form of a building such as the building of Java, but in a more modern context. Discussion of methods used include literature studies, empirical studies, surveys, interviews and documentation.
