Abstract

Background: Based on data on cases of deaths from AIDS in Southeast Sulawesi Province, the highest number of AIDS deaths was found in the city of Bau-bau. Metabolic related disorders are common in people with HIV / AIDS, namely insulin resistance, lipodystrophy, and dyslipidemia. Research conducted by Adewole et al. (2010) explains that in people infected with HIV, they have shown various lipid abnormalities.Objective: to find out the lipid profile of AIDS patients in the city of Bau-bau Southeast Sulawesi.Method: This type of research is descriptive in cross-sectional study by examining lipid profiles in AIDS patients as many as 29 people as samples in the city of Bau-bau with a continuous flow analyzer method. Samples are obtained by accidental sampling method. Data were analyzed descriptively.Results: HDL levels in AIDS patients were low (≤ 45 mg / dL) as many as 29 people (100%). Cholesterol levels in AIDS patients have normal results (≤ 200 mg / dL) as many as 29 people (100%). LDL levels in normal AIDS patients (≤ 130 mg / dL) are 29 people (100%). Triglyceride levels in AIDS patients were high (200 mg / dL) as many as 29 people (100%).Conclusion: Lipid profiles in AIDS patients found high triglyceride levels, normal LDL and cholesterol levels, and low HDL levels in AIDS patients

Abstract

Background: Malnutrition in pregnant women and infants has contributed to at least 3.5 million deaths every year. Counseling on the importance of fulfilling nutrition during pregnancy is very necessary to be carried out as a promotive and preventive effortby midwives services. Patient satisfaction is one indicator of the success of nutrition counseling sevices. Satisfaction is subjective and the result of an affective reactionby characteristics of mothers based on reproductive age, education, and occupation. Objective: This study aims to identify characteristics of mothers, satisfaction with nutrition counseling services provided by midwives in general and specifically based on five dimensions of satisfaction, and frequency of respondents' characteristics of satisfaction levels in general in the work area of the JatinangorPrimary Health Care.Methods: The research method used was descriptive from primary data with the number of respondents participated was 77 pregnant womentaken usingaccidental sampling, data analysis used was univariate.Results: The results of the study showed a majorityof pregnant women age 20–35 years (81.81%) with a satisfaction rate of 72,73%, senior high school graduates (48.05%) with a satisfaction level of 41.56%, and the majority do not work (83.12%) with a satisfaction rate of 71.43%.Conclusion: In general, 88,31% of mothers said they were satisfied, 48,05% mothers were satisfied on the dimensions of tangibles and 100% mothers were satisfied based on the four another dimensions of satisfaction.

Abstract

Introduction: The prevalence of iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women in the world according to WHO ranges from 35-37%, similarly found in pregnant women in Indonesia, Riskesdas in 2013 reported a prevalence of 37.1%. Although the treatment of iron deficiency anemia for pregnant women has been entered into ANC treatment, the prevalence has not given the expected thing. However, in Sumedang District, the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in 2016 lower, 9.69%, pharmacoepidemiological data related to the use of blood boosting vitamins in Jatinangor is still limited. this research was conducted in Jatinangor as target area of Universitas Padjadjaran.Objective: To know the blood Enhancer supplement consumption practices on pregnant women in Jatinangor.Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out in July-August 2018 with pregnant women in Jatinangor, based on the formula large sample descriptive, sampling conducted in 12 villages and subjects were selected consecutively. Data analysis was carried out descriptively interview data using a closed questionnaire.Results: within research recorded 532 pregnant woman, 110 pregnant women are eligible to participate. It was found 96 pregnant women taking blood boosting vitamins, 69 Taking folicacid, 27 taking irontablets, 15 consuming B12, 2 consuming B6. It was found who did not take vitamins, 14 pregnant women for several reasons, 8 people felt healthy, 3 people felt the complaints were mild so it does not require vitamins, 4 others were afraid of the side effects.Conclusion: Most of the respondents already know how to consume suplments

Abstract

Background: Treatment of tuberculosis by using anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT) can be accepted in therapy, but has potential effectiveness such as side effects of hematologic reactions, namely anemia, agranulocytosis, eosinophilia and thrombocytopenia, and liver function. Hyperbilirubinemia is one of the side effects of using OAT which is often complained by patients.Objective: to determine the description of total bilirubin levels in tuberculosis patients with OAT therapy at the Poasia Health Center in Kendari CityMethod: This study was descriptive with bilirubin examination using the Jendrassik-Grof method by spectrophotometer. Total bilirubin examination was performed on 18 pulmonary tuberculosis patients who received OAT therapy at the Poasia Health Center in Kendari City.Results: The results of the study showed that from 18 samples examined, there were 10 samples with high bilirubin levels (hyperbilirubinemia) and 8 samples had normal bilirubin levels.Conclusion: Total bilirubin levels in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis with OAT therapy were found as many as 10 patients had high bilirubin levels (hyperbilirubinemia) and 8 patients had normal bilirubin levels. Keywords: Bilirubin, Hyperbilirubinemia, OAT, Therapy, Tuberculosis

Abstract

Background: The lack of folic acid and zinc intake has considerable impact on both mother and fetus, and based on this research, the intake of folic acid and zinc among pregnant women in West Java is still quite low.Objective: The purpose of this research was to know the intake and average of folic acid and zinc among pregnant women in West Java.Methods: The method of this research was descriptive using cross sectional research design, and the sample was selected by using total sampling method from research of Academic Leadership Grant (ALG) on all first trimester pregnant women as many as 176 respondents who lived in the city of Sukabumi, Cirebon, Bandung and Cimahi recruited in the period of July 2016 - February 2017. Data source was the secondary data from food diary. The analysis used univariate data.Results: Most of the respondents with the folic acid intake not fulfilled were 97,2% and most of them with the zinc intake not fulfilled were 96%, with the average of folic acid intake 163 μg/day and the average of zinc intake 5,1 mg/day.Conclusion: Most of the respondents are categorized in the not fulfilled folic acid and zinc intake with the average under the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) for pregnant women.

Abstract

Background: Toddler growth and development monitoring is required. The growth is increasing the size of the cells, cell count, and intracellular tissue. Physical changes associated with growth and body structure. The progression is the increase of the function of the structure and function of the body. Growth and development of coupled, so it is important to monitor. The importance of monitoring the growing swell toddlers, researchers want to find out the correlation of these two variables.Objective: To find out the relationship between nutritional status and development of infants in Bener Village, Yogyakarta CityMethods: The draft cross-sectional study with data capture at any given moment. The population of a number of 84 children aged 24-60 months. The sampling techniques used total sampling so that the sample amounted to 84. The data obtained will be analyzed by testing the continent Koefisiensi test with Pearson Correlation Lamda.Results: The research results showed that the nutritional status of children aged 24-60 months in Kelurahan Bener 81% 3.6% normal and stated stated skinny as hell. Development of a toddler aged 24-60 months in Kelurahan Bener 89.3% 2.4% expressed and revealed irregularities. Bivariat analysis results declared between nutritional status with the development of a toddler aged 24-60 months value p of 0.493. Position korelasinya is very weak with the value of the correlation of Pearson of 0.076.Conclusion: Conclusion there is no relationship of nutritional status with the development of a toddler aged 24-60 months and correlation of both positions is very weak.

Abstract

Background: Discharge planning in hospital still not optimal on its implementation, so it could affect quality of hospital service and result in rehospitalization patient, especially for hospital with high relapse number. Discharge planning is an integrated manner involving professional caregiver such as doctor, nurse, nutritionist, clinic pharmacy, and physiotherapy.Objective: This research aims to identify implementation of discharge planning by professional caregiver.Methods: This research type descriptive observasional with survey approach. Research Population 208, with proportionate stratified random dsampling data collection method that starts from 07.00 WIB until 17.00 WIB. With 68 implementation of discharge planning patient admission until to go home with minimum care for 2 days. Instrument use format of discharge planning assessment which modified with integrated education format.Results: The results showed that implementation of physician 67,6% implemented, 77,9% of nurses implemented, 94,1% of nutritionists implemented, 67,6% of clinical pharmacy implemented, and 58,8% physiotherapyimplemented. For the most not action is about the usage of tools for home care needs in physiotherapy items with percentage of 100%.Conclusion: Implementation of discharge planning by Professional Caregiver on Inpatient Room showed 60.3% implemented. Therefore it is necessary to monitoring and government of nursing managers for implementation of discharge planning can be implemented with good and improve services in patients so it can be give our satisfaction in patients.
