Abstract

The Schrödinger equation for Hulthen potential plus Poschl-Teller Non-Central potential is solved analytically using Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The radial equation and angular equation are obtained through the variable separation. The solving of Schrödinger equation with Nikivorov-Uvarov method (NU) has been done by reducing the two order differensial equation to be the two order differential equation Hypergeometric type through substitution of appropriate variables. The energy levels obtained is a closed function while the wave functions (radial and angular part) are expressed in the form of Jacobi polynomials. The Poschl-Teller Non-Central potential causes the orbital quantum number increased and the energy of the Hulthen potential is increasing positively.

Abstract

Synthesis of titanium dioxide (TiO2) for dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) with anthocyanins rosella (Hibisccus Sabdariffa) has succesfully been done using sol-gel technique. The semiconductor layer is a very important part of the DSSC since it gives a high surface area for dye absorption which gives rise to high currents. DSSC was formed structually two electrodes sandwiching the electrolyte. The working electrode is TiO2 layer coating on a Fluorine doped Tin Oxide (FTO) glass substrat and sensitified with anthocyanin dye. A counter electrode is carbon coating on the FTO. The fabricated solar cells have an area of 1.5 cm2, soaked in the anthocyanin dye for 24 hours and 48 hours. The sample was characteriz with X-ray diffraction method. The X-ray diffractogram indicates that the sample possesses rutile and anatase phase. The dye absorption measured using spektrofotometer UV-Visible Lambda 25 showed theabsorption occurs in the range 440-620 nm. The efficiencies of the solar cells measured by I-V meter Keithley for 24 and 48 hours soaking are 0.0064(6)%, and 0.0151(4)%, respectively.

Abstract

The increasing emission of CO2 in the air has led to the need to measure the gas content on a regular basis. The gas accumulates slowly in the layers of Earth's atmosphere. However, this need is constrained by a number of issues that later affect the accuracy of the mapping which includes the continuously circulating gas in the atmosphere. Researchers suspect that the amount of CO2 and other gases is getting higher due to the many additional human produced carbon emissions from burning fossil fuels. In this study climate change analysis was conducted in Semarang. The study looks deeper in the CO2 variability data from referencestudies and performs analysis of climate data from rainfall and CO2 measurement data of Semarang.

Abstract

Biomass fuel such as briquette is one of an alternative energy regarded to the shortage of the fosil fuel and rising its prices. The byproduct of sago starch industry is the waste that remain the environmental problem because of the odor. However this agricultur waste such as trunk cortex and fibre has a potential application as a raw material for briquette. The fibre and trunk cortex act as matrix material of briquette. The utilizing of sago waste as a biomass briquette and the effect of ratio of matrix/binder to the density, time of compustion and gross heat of the briquette have been elucidated sistematically. The analyzing of gross heat using adiabatic calorimetry indicated that the briquette prepared with the ratio of binder/matrix of 3:4 (mass ratio) had the maximum value of 3929.5 kal/g. The duration of combusion was proposional with density of the briquette.

Abstract

Nanoceria has been proposed as inorganic material for sunscreen product because of its excellent UV absorpsition ability. Fine particle nanoceria and non-aglomeration determines comport and covering capability on human skin. Particle size and aglomeration could be controlled by parameters and medium synthesis. In the present work, nanoceria powders were synthesized using precipitation method in different pH of 7 and 10. Precipitation was cariedout in water/isopropanol mixed solvent. Cerium nitrate and amonium hydroxide was used as source of cerium and precipitation agent, respectively. Crystal structure of nanoceria was examined using x-ray diffraction (XRD). Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to observe morphology of nanoceria. Diffraction pattern analysis shows that the precipitates were single phase of nanoceria with cubic fluorite structure and lattice contants of 0.5429 nmand 0.5419 nm. Crystallite size and lattice strain were obtained from Williamson-Hall method. Precipitation in pH of 7 resulted in smaller crystallite size which correlated to the larger lattice strain and lattice constant. SEM image shows spherical morphology with less agglomeration occuring for nanoceria precipitated in pH 10.
