Journal of finance and Islamic banking limited only publish articles related to two major themes; Islamic finance and Islamic banking. First, Islamic finance includes all submissions related to Islamic finance only. Specifically is divided into two, namely Islamic monetary and microfinance. Islamic monetary can be broken down into a variety of examples of topics such as Islamic monetary system, sharia capital markets, ZISWAF (Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah and Waqf), dinar and so forth. Subsequently, submissions related to sharia microfinance can be illustrated in a variety of topics related to sharia microfinance institutions; the cooperative sharia and Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT). The second major theme is the Islamic Banking. The study of Islamic banking include all submissions related to Islamic banking, be it management, marketing, accounting, product, systems, and others. Specifically theme Islamic banking translated into various examples such as the role of Islamic bank in macroeconomics, funding of Islamic banks, Islamic banks products, IT systems, e-money, entrepreneurship program of Islamic banks, and so on.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the potency of sharia financing in the fisheries sector in Jetis Village, Nusawungu, Cilacap District. The study was conducted in Jetis Village, Nusawungu, Cilacap District, with the consideration that Jetis Village is the village with the most businesses in the field of fisheries. The sample in this research is fisherman and businessman processed Lea Fish Chips (Krispi Ikan Lea). The data in this research is collected with interview technique. The data analysis used in this research is qualitative and quantitative analysis. The qualitative analysis is used to get an overview of descriptive explanation regarding the fisheries industries. Meanwhile, the quantitative analysis is used for analyzing the cost of every activity, such as investment cost, operational cost, production and marketing cost. Financial analysis is also used to measure cash flow, Break Event Point, Payback Period, Net Present Value and sensitivity analysis. The finding of this research shows that the fisheries business in Jetis Village has the potency to get financing from Islamic Banking. Based on the analysis of the financial feasibility of the lea crispy sich (Krispi Ikan Lea) business is feasible to be cultivated. With a five year project period and 20,6% of margin rates, this business could pay their payment to the Islamic Bank dan produce a good amount of profit for their business. The fishermen also passed the financial feasibility test and are also cultivated with a five-year period of the project and with a total profit of Rp 121,245,775.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Islamic Corporate Governance on the financial performance of Islamic banks in 2012-2016. The Islamic Corporate Governance area is proxied by the board of commissioners size, Audit Committee Size, Sharia Supervisory Board Size, and frequency of Sharia Supervisory Board meetings. The object of research is Islamic banks in 2012-2016. Sampling technique is judgment sampling, members of the population that meet the criteria are used as samples. The entire sample was taken from 10 Islamic banks. Hypothesis testing techniques use multiple regression analysis. The results of the F test show that all independent variables simultaneously influence financial performance. Based on the results of the t test it can be concluded that the frequency of sharia supervisory board meetings and the size of the audit committee positively influences the financial performance of Islamic banks. While the size of the area and the age of the area does not affect the Financial Performance.
