INSANCITA: Journal of Islamic Studies in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. This journal, with ISSN 2443-2776, was firstly published on February 5, 2016, in the context to commemorate the anniversary of HMI (Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam or Association of Islamic College’s Students) in Indonesia. The INSANCITA journal has been organized by the Alumni of HMI who work as Lecturers at the HEIs (Higher Education Istitutions) in Indonesia, since issue of February 2016 to date; and published by Minda Masagi Press, a publishing house owned by ASPENSI (the Association of Indonesian Scholars of History Education) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia; and BRIMAN (Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia Academic Network) Institute in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, since issue of February 2018 to date. The articles published in INSANCITA journal are able to be written in English as well as in Indonesian and Malay languages. The INSANCITA journal is published every February and August. The INSANCITA journal is devoted, but not limited to, Islamic studies and any new development and advancement in the field of Islamic society. The scope of our journal includes: (1) Language and Literature in Islam; (2) Social Science and Humanities in Islam; (3) History and Philosophy of Education in Islam; (4) Economy and Business in Islam; (5) Science, Technology and Society in Islam; (6) Political, Cultural and Social Engineering in Islam; and (7) Visual Arts, Dance, Music, and Design in Islam.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Hinduism and Islam are the two largest religions of the world. Hinduism is the socio-religious way of life from the Hindu people in the Indian subcontinent. Islam is a strictly monotheistic religion in which the supreme deity is Allah, and Prophet Mohammad SAW (Salallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam or Peace Be Upon Him) is the last Prophet. The primary Islamic scripture is the Al-Qur’an, Allah’s book; and Al-Hadith, which are traditional records of the sayings and acts of Prophet Muhammad SAW. The scriptures of Hinduism are the Shrutis (the four Vedas, which comprise the original Vedic Hymns, or Samhita, and three tiers of commentaries upon the Samhita, namely the Brahmanas, Aranyakas, and Upanishads); these are considered authentic, authoritative divine revelation. Furthermore, Hinduism is also based on the Smritis, including the Ramayana and the Bhagavad Gita, which are considered to be of secondary authority and of human creation. Both religions, Hindu and Islam, give importance to ethics and morality. We focus our discussion in this article on ethical and moral values in Islam and Hinduism. Islamic moral is a combination of genuine acts of love and justice on the one hand, and legalistic performances on the other. Muhammad is pictured in the Al-Qur’an as a loving person, helping the poor, and slow to take revenge. Meanwhile, on Hinduism, because of the vast number of reincarnations of any given individual, it recognizes that most people’s lack of spiritual development; its means they must lead normal lives that can grow closer to the ideal of full renunciation of the personality.KEY WORD: Islam and Hinduism, socio-religious way of life, monotheistic religion, ethics and morality, Al-Qu’an and Al-Hadith, four Vedas, straight path, reincarnation, and good personality.ABSTRAKSI: “Etika dan Moralitas dalam Agama Islam dan Hindu”. Hindu dan Islam adalah dua agama terbesar di dunia. Hindu adalah cara hidup sosial-keagamaan dari masyarakat Hindu di anak benua India. Islam adalah agama monotheis yang tegas dimana Tuhan tertinggi adalah Allah, dan Nabi Muhammad SAW (Salallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam) adalah Nabi terakhir. Kitab utama agama Islam adalah Al-Qur’an, kitab Allah; dan Al-Hadith, yang mencatat tradisi dari ucapan dan tindakan Nabi Muhammad SAW. Kitab suci agama Hindu adalah Shrutis (empat Veda, yang terdiri dari Veda Nyanyian Rohani asli, atau Samhita, dan tiga tingkatan komentar pada Samhita, yaitu Brahmana, Aranyaka, dan Upanishad); ini dianggap otentik, wahyu berotoritas ilahiyah. Selanjutnya, Hindu juga berdasarkan pada Smritis, termasuk Ramayana dan Bhagavad Gita, yang dianggap sumber otoritas sekunder dan ciptaan manusia. Kedua agama, Hindu dan Islam, menekankan pentingnya etika dan moralitas. Kami memfokuskan diri dalam pembahasan artikel ini mengenai nilai-nilai etika dan moral dalam agama Islam dan Hindu. Moral Islam adalah kombinasi antara tindakan cinta sejati dengan keadilan di satu sisi, serta petunjuk legalistik di sisi lain. Muhammad digambarkan dalam Al-Qur’an sebagai manusia penuh cinta-kasih, menyayangi orang miskin, dan bersikap memaafkan daripada membalas dendam. Abstract

ABSTRAKSI: Tujuan didirikannya HMI (Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam) pada tanggal 5 Februari 1947 adalah ikut mempertahankan kemerdekaan Indonesia. Di alam Indonesia merdeka, Islam dapat berkembang dan menjadi wadah perkembangannya. Indonesia dan Islam menyatu di organisasi ini sejak berdiri. Tema ke-Indonesi-an dan ke-Islam-an selalu menjadi sifat dan karakternya. Diimbuhi semangat muda mahasiswa, Indonesia dan Islam menjadi bergairah. Di HMI, Islam dan Indonesia tidak seharusnya dipisahkan, tidak ada split atau dikotomi, dan diajarkan dalam setiap perkaderan. Dalam sejarah organisasi ini, Islam dan Indonesia tidak pernah pecah sampai di era 1980-an, dalam kasus asas tunggal Pancasila, dan dua tema itu berkontraksi di kalangan para pendukungnya, termasuk di HMI, sampai rejim Orde Baru tenggelam pada akhir tahun 1990-an. Di era kebebasan informasi dan demokrasi sekarang ini, justru tema kemahasiswaan, ke-Indonesia-an dan ke-Islam-an seperti memperoleh tempatnya kembali di HMI. Tetapi, jauh lebih penting lagi sekarang ini, dalam momentum 68 tahun HMI berdiri dan ikut mengawal perjalanan pencapaian tujuan berbangsa dan bernegara sesuai tujuan HMI, sejauh mana tujuan itu telah tercapai. HMI telah berhasil ikut serta dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan, serta meluruskan pelaksanaan ideologi dan konstitusi negara Indonesia. Kini, HMI ditantang untuk terus mengawal kebijakan negara agar menguntungkan semua penduduk Indonesia menjadi lebih beriman dan berilmu, maju dan modern, serta adil dan sejahtera.KATA KUNCI: Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam, negara Indonesia, proses kaderisasi, tantangan dan peluang, refleksi dan aksi, serta kesejahteraan masyarakat Indonesia.ABSTRACT: “Muslim Students Association and Welfare: An Indonesian Context”. The establishment of HMI (Muslim Students Association) on 5th February 1947 was to participate in maintaining the independence of Indonesia. In the realm of Indonesian independent, Islam can flourish and Indonesia became an umbrella for the development of Islam. Indonesia and Islam are together in the body of the HMI since its inception. Themes of “Indonesia” and “Islam” have always been the nature and character of HMI. Imbued with the spirit of a young student, Indonesia and Islam became excited. In the HMI, Islam and Indonesia should not be separated, there is no split or dichotomy, and taught in every training of HMI’s cadres. In the history of HMI, Islam and Indonesia has never broken up in the 1980s, in the case of “Pancasila”, and two themes were contracted among his supporters, including in the HMI, until the New Order regime step down in the late 1990s. In the era of freedom of information and democracy today, precisely the theme of the “student”, “Indonesian”, and “Islam” like obtaining its place again in the HMI. But, more importantly now is after 68 years of HMI stands and participate to guard the achievement journey of the goals of nation-state, in accordance with the goals of the HMI, how far the objectives have been achieved. HMI has managed successfully to defend the Indonesian independence, and HMI has also successfully participated to straighten the implementation of the ideology and constitution of Indonesia’s nation-state. Abstract

ABSTRACT: Spirituality was highly valued in the teaching and learning process in Malaysia. The MoE (Ministry of Education) Malaysia has incorporated elements of Islamic and Moral Education in the education system in Malaysia. This is done to generate a balanced individual and overall potential development of the physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual beliefs, and devotion to Allah. Thus, the objective of this study is to determine the spiritual practice experienced by IIUM (International Islamic University of Malaysia) students. This study used qualitative method, and process of data collection is done through interview techniques. The interview techniques are able to provide a framework within which respondents can express their understanding and knowledge of their own manner. These findings clearly indicate that the daily or weekly spiritual practice performed by IIUM students is such as five daily practices for spiritual development: prayer, meditation, service, recite the Al-Qur’an, and integrity. Prayer, recite the Al-Qur’an, and meditation feed the spirit; while integrity and service exercise will develop the strength and capacities as Muslim. Together they constitute the injunctions one is to follow to develop spiritually. ABSTRAKSI: “Penilaian Amalan Rohani Pelajar di UIAM (Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia)”. Kerohanian adalah nilai yang tinggi dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran di Malaysia. KPM (Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia) telah menggabungkan unsur-unsur Pendidikan Moral dan Islam dalam sistem pendidikan di Malaysia. Ini dilakukan untuk menjana pembangunan yang seimbang bagi individu dan keseluruhan potensi jasmani, emosi, rohani dan intelek, dan kepatuhan kepada Allah. Oleh itu, objektif kajian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengalaman amalan rohani oleh pelajar-pelajar UIAM. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif, dan proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik temuduga. Teknik temuduga dapat menyediakan rangka kerja yang membolehkan responden dapat meluahkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan tentang mereka dan cara mereka sendiri. Penemuan ini jelas menunjukan bahawa amalan harian atau mingguan rohani yang dilakukan oleh pelajar UIAM adalah lima amalan setiap hari untuk pembangunan rohani, seperti: doa, meditasi, perkhidmatan, membaca Al-Quran, dan integriti. Sholat, membaca Al-Quran, dan meditasi memberi makanan rohani; manakala integriti dan menjalankan perkhidmatan akan membangunkan kekuatan dan kapasiti sebagai orang Islam. Abstract

ABSTRACT: This paper examines the misinterpretation of some Islamic teachings and traditions which are erroneously regarded as gender discrimination against women with a view to addressing them in consonance with Islamic rulings or practices. It examines why Islam prescribed veil, dress code for women; polygamy that the voice of women should not be heard by men; women stay behind men in prayer; and waiting/mourning period for women. The method for this research is purely written sources, including documents, monographs, manuscripts, books, journals, internet, magazines as well as the holy book of Al-Qur’an and Al-Hadith. The paper revealed that the “hijab” helps to safeguard the modesty and decency of a person and safeguards the moral ideals of a society. Also, during congregational prayer, Muslims stand side by side maintaining closeness by standing foot to foot, shoulder to shoulder, and demonstrating brotherhood and sameness in status. If men and women should stand in this position, it is impossible for them to attain full concentration due to difference in sexes. Also, Islam prescribes waiting period for widow to ascertain whether the woman is pregnant for the deceased husband. It is the Muslims themselves, through their ill practice of their religion, who give impetus to such misinterpretations. Thereafter, concluded that, as for Islam, gender equality is part of its jurisprudence and fundamental teachings.KEY WORD: Misinterpretation, Islamic teachings and traditions, gender discrimination, veil, polygamy, prayer, mourning period for women, and Islamic jurisprudence and fundamental teachings.ABSTRAKSI: “Salah Tafsir Beberapa Ajaran dan Tradisi Islam tentang Diskriminasi Gender terhadap Perempuan”. Makalah ini mengkaji salah tafsir beberapa ajaran dan tradisi Islam yang dianggap keliru mengenai diskriminasi gender terhadap perempuan yang bermaksud untuk memberikan kesesuaian dengan aturan atau praktek Islam. Ia mengkaji mengapa Islam menganjurkan jilbab, etika berpakaian untuk perempuan; poligami bahwa suara perempuan tidak harus didengar oleh laki-laki; perempuan berada di belakang laki-laki dalam shalat; dan masa menunggu untuk wanita dalam berkabung. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber murni tertulis, termasuk dokumen, monograf, naskah, buku, jurnal, internet, majalah, serta dari kitab suci Al-Qur’an dan Al-Hadits. Makalah ini mengungkapkan bahwa “hijab” membantu untuk menjaga kesopanan dan kesusilaan seseorang dan menjaga cita-cita moral masyarakat. Juga, selama shalat berjamaah, umat Islam berdampingan menjaga kedekatan dengan berdiri dari kaki ke kaki, bahu ke membahu, dan menunjukan persaudaraan dan kesamaan status. Jika laki-laki dan perempuan harus berdiri dalam posisi berdampingan, ini tidak mungkin bagi mereka untuk mencapai konsentrasi penuh karena perbedaan jenis kelamin. Juga, Islam mengatur masa tunggu bagi janda untuk memastikan apakah kehamilan wanita itu karena suaminya yang sudah almarhum. Adalah umat Islam sendiri, melalui salah amalan dalam agama mereka, yang memberikan dorongan untuk salah tafsir tersebut. Karenanya, disimpulkan bahwa kesetaraan gender merupakan bagian dari hukum dan ajaran-ajaran fundamental dalam Islam. Abstract

ABSTRAKSI: Fokus kajian ini turut mengenal pasti tahap pendidikan keagamaan, tahap pertautan ibu bapa, tahap pertautan rakan sebaya, dan tahap penghayatan akhlak Islam dalam kalangan belia universiti. Seterusnya, kajian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti, sama ada terdapat perbezaan daripada segi penghayatan akhlak Islam berdasarkan faktor jantina, aliran pengajian, lokasi asal, status pendapatan keluarga, tahap pendidikan bapa, dan tahap pendidikan ibu. Selain daripada itu, pengaruh pendidikan keagamaan, pertautan ibu bapa, dan pertautan rakan sebaya ke atas penghayatan akhlak Islam turut diambil kira. Responden yang terlibat dalam kajian ini ialah seramai 403 orang belia universiti, yang menuntut di sebuah IPTA (Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam) di Malaysia. Kajian telah mengesahkan hasil kajian yang lepas mengenai pembentukan peribadi belia yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor psiko-sosial, iaitu pendidikan keagamaan oleh ibu bapa, pertautan ibu bapa, dan pertautan rakan sebaya. Keputusan kajian juga telah membuktikan bahawa wujudnya hubungan faktor psiko-sosial melibatkan pendidikan keagamaan oleh ibu bapa, pertautan ibu bapa, dan pertautan rakan sebaya dengan penghayatan akhlak Islam dalam kalangan belia universiti.KATA KUNCI: Akhlak Islam, belia, faktor psiko-sosial, institusi pengajian tinggi awam, pertautan ibu bapa, pertautan rakan sebaya, dan pendidikan keagamaan.ABSTRACT: “Factors Affecting Appreciation of Islamic Morality in Youths in a Public Higher Education Institution in Malaysia”. The focus of this study was to identify the level of religious education, parents level of engagement, the level of engagement of peers, and the appreciation of Islamic morality among the university’s youth. The study also aims to identify whether there are significant differences in terms of the appreciation of Islamic morality based on gender, courses, the student’s original location, status, family’s income, the educational level of the father and mother. In addition, the influence of religious education, parental engagement, and engagement of peers on an appreciation of Islamic morality is taken into account. Respondents involved in this study consisted of 403 university’s youths, studying in a public institution of higher education in Malaysia. This study has confirmed the results of previous studies on the formation of the youth character influenced by psycho-social factors, such as religious education by parents, parental engagement, and engagement of peers. The study also shows that there is a significant relationship of psycho-social factors involving religious education by parents, parental engagement, and engagement with peers with appreciation of Islamic morality among the youth of the university.KEY WORD: Islamic morality, youth, psycho-social factors, public institution of higher education, parental engagement, engagement with peers, and religious education.    About the Authors: Rohana Tan dan Assoc. Abstract

Telah terbit jurnal-jurnal yang dikelola oleh Minda Masagi Press, badan penerbitan milik ASPENSI di Bandung, seperti: SOSIOHUMANIKA, EDUCARE, TAWARIKH, ATIKAN, SUSURGALUR, SIPATAHOENAN, dan MIMBAR PENDIDIKAN. Abstract

ABSTRAKSI: Allah SWT (Subhanahu Wa-Ta’ala) menciptakan segala sesuatu berpasang-pasangan: ada siang dan malam, pagi dan petang, gelap dan terang, kiri dan kanan, atas dan bawah, termasuk juga laki-laki dan perempuan. Semua yang diciptakan oleh Allah SWT itu agar bekerja sama dan menjalin hubungan yang harmonis. Dalam kaitannya dengan perempuan, ianya dimungkinkan untuk beroleh tantangan dari dua sektor: keluarga dan publik, sehingga, setidaknya, ada empat posisi yang dapat diperankan. Pertama, sebagai isteri yang mendampingi suaminya, yaitu sebagai komponen dalam mengayuh biduk rumah tangga. Kedua, sebagai orang tua (ibu) yang acapkali diibaratkan sebagai “penyangga negara” dalam merawat, membesarkan, dan mendidik anak-anak. Ketiga, sebagai anak yang berbakti kepada orang tuanya. Keempat, sebagai anggota masyarakat yang melibatkan diri didalam sektor publik (sosial-kemasyarakatan). Kendati tidak bertentangan, namun dua sektor dan empat perannya tadi membutuhkan kearifan yang memadai dari pihak perempuan untuk menjalankan dan menatanya dengan baik. Maka, perempuan bukan saja harus mengelola waktu, tenaga, dan pikiran, tetapi juga harus siap mental untuk menangani roda kehidupan yang kompleks. Dalam perspektif Islam, perempuan adalah makhluk mulia, memiliki keunikannya sendiri, harus memaknai kodratnya sebagai perempuan, dan – pada akhirnya – tercipta untuk beribadah kepada Allah SWT. Islam menegaskan keharusan perempuan untuk menjalin hubungan yang harmonis didalam keluarga dan sektor publik, dan – dengan demikian – mengafirmasi kenyataan bahwa peran perempuan memang sangat besar.KATA KUNCI: Peran perempuan, perspektif Islam, konteks kekinian, berpasang-pasangan, hubungan yang harmonis, mendidik, mendampingi suami, dan berkiprah di sektor publik.ABSTRACT: “Role of Women in the Islamic Perspective: The Currently Context”. Allah SWT (Subhanahu Wa-Ta’ala or God the Most High) created everything in pairs: there are day and night, morning and evening, dark and light, left and right, top and bottom, as well as male and female. All created by Allah was to work together and establish a harmonious relationship. In relation to women, it is possible to receive a challenge from two sectors: the family and the public, so that, at least, there are four positions that can be played. Firstly, as a wife accompanying her husband, that is as a component in pedaling and managing the household. Secondly, as parents (mothers) who are often described as "buffer of the state" in caring, raising, and educating for children. Thirdly, as a son whose dutiful to her parents. Fourthly, as a member of society who engaged in the public sectors (social and public affairs). Although not contradictory, but the two sectors and four earlier roles required adequate knowledge for women to run and set it properly. Thus, women not only have to manage their time, energy, and mind, but also be prepared mentally to deal with complex life wheel. In the perspective of Islam, women are noble creatures, have its own uniqueness, must interpret her nature as women, and – ultimately – be created to worship to Allah. Abstract

ABSTRACT: This research aims at finding out the remedies for the disease of arrogance/pride that has been rampant among the people in contemporary Muslim world, particularly Nigerian Muslim society. The analysis is not on words and terms, but rather on meaning and ideas with analysis and explanations given by the “Mufassirun” and other scholars. ‘Uthman bin Foduye emerged in nineteenth-century with the mission to revive the Sunnah, and to eradicate innovations in Hausaland (West Africa) caused by the deviant teachings. This is the reason why he wrote on spiritual diseases in his book related to healing of the soul. ‘Uthman bin Foduye was influenced by al-Ghazali and particularly his book on “Ihya’ ‘Ulum al-Din” (Revival of the Religious Sciences). He wrote this treaty in order to make it easier for the people to know the destructive evils of the heart, so as to do what Allah loves and accepts, since pride is one of the attributes of Allah alone. The appearance of the British destroyed the Sokoto Caliphate in Northern-Nigeria and burnt many of Uthman bin Foduye’s books, including the “Shifa al-Nufus” (Healing of the Soul), for fear that his works will inspire his followers people to rise against the oppressors. KEY WORD: Diseases and remedies, arrogance and pride, Uthman bin Foduye, healing of the soul, al-Ghazali, revive the Islam, West Africa, British, and rise against the oppressors.ABSTRAKSI: “Penyakit dan Pengubatan Al-Kibr (Kesombongan/Kebanggaan Diri) dalam Cahaya Shifa al-Nufus (Penyembuhan Jiwa)-nya Uthman bin Foduye”. Kajian ini mau mencari tahu ubat bagi penyakit sombong/bangga diri yang telah berleluasa di kalangan rakyat di dunia Islam masa kini, terutamanya masyarakat Islam Nigeria. Analisis ini tidak disenaraikan dalam kata-kata dan istilah, tetapi pada makna dan idea dengan analisis dan penjelasan yang diberikan oleh Mufassirun dan ulama yang lain. Uthman bin Foduye muncul pada abad ke-19 dengan misi untuk menghidupkan semula Sunnah, dan untuk membasmi amalan bid’ah di Hausaland (Afrika Barat) yang disebabkan oleh ajaran sesat. Ini adalah sebab mengapa dia menulis mengenai penyakit rohani dalam bukunya bersabit penyembuhan jiwa. Uthman bin Foduye dipengaruhi oleh al-Ghazali dan terutamanya buku “Ihya Ulum al-Din” (Kebangkitan Ilmu-ilmu Agama). Beliau menulis risalah ini untuk membuat ianya lebih mudah bagi rakyat supaya tahu keburukan yang merosakan hati, untuk melakukan apa yang Allah suka dan menerima, kerana kebanggaan diri setakat milik Allah semata-mata. Abstract

Jurnal INSANCITA ini terbit dalam rangka menyambut Dies Natalis HMI (Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam) yang ke-69, yakni pada tanggal 5 Februari 2016. Jurnal ini terbit setiap bulan Februari dan Agustus. Tujuan penerbitan jurnal INSANCITA adalah untuk menampung dan mendiseminasikan hasil-hasil pemikiran dan penelitian yang cerdas dan bernas tentang Islam, tidak hanya di Indonesia, tetapi juga di kawasan Asia Tenggara, dan bahkan dunia. Setiap edisi, dalam Kata Pengantar, akan disajikan Profil Singkat para Ketua Umum PB (Pengurus Besar) HMI di Indonesia. Dalam edisi kali ini disajikan sosok Lafran Pane, untuk dikenang, sebagai tokoh penggagas dan pendiri HMI di Yogyakarta, pada tanggal 5 Februari 1947, dalam suasana revolusi kemerdekaan Indonesia.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSI: Ibadah dalam Islam mempunyai impak atau kesan yang mendalam dalam kehidupam Muslim, terutama dalam konteks hubungan makhluk dan Penciptanya. Dalam erti kata bahawa ibadah sholat, puasa, zakat, haji, serta ibadah lain lagi, yang dilakukan manusia, adalah untuk mendapat keredaan Allah SWT (Subhanahu Wa-Ta’ala). Dalam pada itu, penekanan bacaan dalam sholat sangat penting untuk membentuk insan yang soleh dan mampu memikul tanggungjawab sebagai khalifah Allah SWT. Sholat merupakan tiang agama dan sholat yang sempurna, iaitu merangkumi bacaan yang lancar dan sempurna, akan melahirkan generasi Islam yang lebih berkualiti. Kajian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengukuhkan tahap pembacaan dan hafazan “tahiyyat” dalam sohlat dengan baik dan lancar melalui kaedah “nasyid”. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah latih-tubi melalui bacaan “tahiyyat” responden dan ujian pos, iaitu selepas kaedah “nasyid” diperkenalkan. Seramai 27 orang responden Tahun 2 Sekolah Rendah telah dipilih sebagai subjek dalam kajian ini. Hasil daripada pemerhatian selepas kaedah “nasyid” diperkenalkan, terdapat peningkatan yang ketara terhadap penguasaan responden, iaitu sebanyak 52% telah berjaya membaca dan menghafaz “tahiyyat” dengan baik dan lancar. Keputusan ujian juga menunjukan bahawa kaedah “nasyid” mampu membantu responden untuk membaca serta menghafaz bacaan “tahiyyat” dalam sholat dengan baik dan lancar.KATA KUNCI: Pengajaran, kaedah nasyid, sholat, bacaan tahiyyat, kaedah pengajaran, latih-tubi, pelajar Sekolah Rendah, menghafaz bacaan, dan generasi belia Islam yang berkualiti.ABSTRACT: “Action Research in Improving the Tahiyyat Reading among Primary Schools Pupils Using Nasyid Method”. Worship in Islam has had a profound impact or effect of living in the Muslim, particularly in the context of relationship between the creature and his Creator. In the sense that praying, fasting, charity, pilgrimage, and other religious again, which humans do, is to get the blessing of Allah. Meanwhile, the emphasis of reading in prayer is essential to establish a righteous man and able to take responsibility as a Caliph of Allah. Prayer is the pillar of religion and perfect prayer, which includes reading smoothly, will create a generation of better quality. This study is aimed at strengthening the level of reading and memorizing “tahiyyat” in prayer smoothly through the “nasyid” method. This study using drill method towards respondents and posttest after “nasyid” methods introduced. A total of 27 respondents, pupils year 2 at Primary School have been chosen as the subjects in this study. The results of the observations indicated that after “nasyid” method was introduced, there was a significant increment towards respondents result, namely: 52% were successfully read and memorize “tahhiyat” well and smoothly.
