Abstract

The hybrid flowshop (HFS) manufacturing system or multiprocessor flowshop is commonly applied to industries like cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, textile, food industry, and electronics, like IC packaging and PCB production. In these industries, production facilities are organized as the processing stages and at least one of the stages consist of two parallel machines. This research develop a batch scheduling model for a  two stage flowshop  and at least one of the stages consist of several heterogeneous machines that have ability to produce the same output but at least one of the machines has different setup time and/or processing time from another machine. The objective of the problem is to minimize total actual flow time that has considered due date in its formulation. The problems that have to be solved in this research are allocating parts to available resources, batching the allocated parts, and sequencing the resulting batches. These problem are solved simultaneously. Numerical experiences show that the proposed model works in solving a flowshop batch scheduling problem with two stages consisting of heterogeneous machines. Abstract

Abstract                Break even point (BEP) is an accounting term that describes the total revenue equals to total costs. BEP values shows amount of sales that must be maintained to cover the fixed cost. The lower the price, the higher the BEP. The higher the price, the lower the BEP. BEP Estimation Application used Fuzzy C-means, one of the fuzzy cluster algorithm, takes variable cost,  fixed cost, and total unit production as input then processed to find the suitable price and the break even point. The ouput are various kinds of price with it’s BEP that be devided into three groups:  low, middle, and high selling price. Using this application the businessman can easily determine the selling price for their product, sets the target of the minimum number of sales of product that should be maintained, and arranging the sale strategies. Keywords: break even point(BEP), fuzzy cluster, fuzzy c-means, selling price.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis kesesuaian antara kualitas pelayanan teller menurut konsumen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan diolah menggunakan metode cluster. Pengelolaan pelayanan teller terhadap konsumen diukur dengan menggunakan empat variabel, yaitu kredibilitas, keandalan, keakraban, self orientation.Metode klaster merupakan suatu alat analisis teknik, untuk mengklasifikasi objek atau responden kedalam kelompok yang relatif homogen (cluster). Dalam metode klaster dapat diketahui variabel pernyataan yang lebih penting dibandingkan dengan variabel lain.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa klaster 1 (golongan menengah) dengan tingkat pendidikan dan pendapatan di atas rata-rata menjadi klaster yang dominan dilayani oleh FIF. Variabel yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pelayanan teller adalah variabel Self Orientation, dimana teller berusaha memberikan penjelasan atas setiap pertanyaan anda dengan memuaskan. Variabel ini berada pada urutan pertama kerena memiliki nilai F (13,913) yang paling besar dibanding variabel yang lain dengan nilai Signifikansi = 0. Keynote : Analisis Cluster, Kepuasaan Konsumen, Pelayanan teller

Abstract

Pattern-based Stemmer is an implementation of searching algorithm to find  stem from an Arabic word that implement morphological anlysis technique and affix removal technique. In this research, if stemming process has been done, word class determination process will be conducted according this way: First, system would match between word which is entered with the fix word that is stored in the system. If the word was not found, word class determination rules will be conducted based on prefix, suffix, and infix. If this system could not figure out the word class of the word from the second step, then word class would be determined based on the word position in a sentence.Testing is commited in order to know the influences of the number of token, pattern and rule in the system to the system’s performance. Data that used in this testing are 37 surat in juz 30th from Al-Qur`an. They will be put into three categories, based on the number of rows of each surah : long surah, medium surah, and short surah. Based on the testing results, the best performance gained by storing more free-affix pattern, storing more word class determining rule, and adding affix elimination checking process into the system. Keywords: Arabic text, stemming, stem, word class.

Abstract

Naive Bayes is one of the classification techniques in data mining that apply Bayes Theorem in its processing and provide optimal result when each attributes in dataset is independent. But generally, a dataset has numeric attributes and nominal attributes are dependence so that if considered independent, it can cause classification error problems. Therefore, it needs a method to minimize the error rate, the method is discretize strategy. Discretization is a method that maps some numerical values (X) into an interval of nominal value (X*) based on the frequency setting in one interval so it can get number of interval formed in one numeric attribute. One of discretization method adopted in this research is Optimal Flexible Frequency Discretization (OFFD) based on sequential search and wrapper based supervised for incremental learning. This method will be carried out wrapper feature selection to get optimal attributes based on its fMeasure parameter. Then, optimal dataset will de discrete in sequential search for the minimum frequency on each interval. Based on the results of testing, showed that the OFFD influenced by the process of selecting attributes of Best First Search on the Wrapper Feature Selection, so that influence the decline in the value of the error. Keywords : wrapper based, Feature Selection, discretization, sequential search, Naïve Bayes, Optimal Flexible Frequency Discretization,  interval frequency

Abstract

Internet as the worldwide commercial data network and electronic commerce based is able to manage public data services, which includes intranet. There are some factors which make internet become important element in this communication era such as the increasing number of customers in the internet provider, speed of connection, traffic backbone. In addition, the finding of some new applications also has contribution to increase the important roles of internet itself. In facing competition, network operator dan Internet Service Provider (ISP) must provide good Quality of Service (QoS). Web based Bandwidth Management using Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) method could be the solution for the  achievement of expected QoS and in accordance with the needs of customers internet provider. Keywords : Bandwidth Management, QoS, HTB, Traffic Control.

Abstract

AbstractThe comfort of the children is one of the important factor that must be considered by parents, especially when travel using a motorcycle. One of the equipment when using the motorcycle is helmet. Helmets that don’t have the ergonomics aspect will cause fatigue in it’s users. Therefore this study aims to redesign  the ergonomic helmet for the children. The design will be displayed in the form of 3D image and prototype. The first step in this research is collecting data. The data collected is anthropometric data children's heads as much as 80 students from kindergarten An-Namiroh. Anthropometric data that is needed are a high head, head width, head length, circle head, eyes to the head, and ears onto the head. The next step is anthropometric data processing which includes testing the normality of the data, testing the uniformity of data, testing the adequacy of the data, the calculation of percentiles, testing product concepts and drawings from the design. The last step is an analysis of the design product. Based on the results obtained helmet = 13 cm wide, circular helmet = 52.08 cm = 15,334 cm tall helmet, part of the helmet ear distance = 14.62 cm, length = 14.92 cm helmets, helmet glass distance to the eye is divided into 2 parts: a clear glass helmet = 4.85 cm, glass, black helmet = 5.72 cm.  Key words: Anthropometry, Ergonomics, Helmet  children

Abstract

Abstract The mobile phone with Bluetooth devices is a technology that available in the market in the current mobile phone devices. Bluetooth technology allows users to exchange data from one device to another device without operator assistance with unlimited distance. Utilization of Bluetooth technology are now widely among the media file sharing, remote control laptop, a Bluetooth mouse (the mouse without the wires), GPS applications, and so on. One of the utilization of Bluetooth technology is the development of applications for remote control Winamp via Bluetooth mobile phone, where the application takes advantage of Bluetooth connectivity as the media handling of the control Winamp on the laptop. There are two applications that need to be installed to perform remote control of Winamp is the application on the mobile phone and the laptop. Applications on mobile phones designed using J2ME programming languages and applications on a laptop using VB programming language. NET. Abstract

Abstract Practicum is one part of the learning process in Politeknik Caltex Riau. Practicum in the laboratory usually uses electronic media, such as computer. In the laboratory, some students sometimes do not doing the practicum seriously. Occasionally, some students installing and running applications that do not fit with the experimental material. Because of that, in the laboratory required an application that can monitor student activities during the practicum activities in the laboratory. The aim of this project is to create an application that can monitoring what application  running by students during the practicum and to know the list of applications installed, log report and information on hardware and Windows Operating System that is used on the client computer. This desktop-based applications built with Visual Basic dot Net (VB.Net) and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database. From the observations, this application suitable in practical activities requirement at the Polytechnic Caltex Riau because it can increase teaching and learning performance in the laboratory. Abstract

Pada saat perusahaan memutuskan untuk mengimplementasikan sistem Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), penerimaan sistem oleh pengguna perlu diperhatikan, untuk mengetahui keberhasilan pengimplementasian sistem, maka dilakukan penelitian dengan pendekatan model Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Terdapat enam variabel laten exogeneous yang diteliti yaitu performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social inluence, organization facilitating conditions, JDE team quality dan managerial intervention. Variabel ERP symbolic adoption digunakan sebagai variabel laten endogenous, dan attitude toward ERP system use sebagai variabel intervening. Dan dua variabel moderating yaitu age dan experience. Metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dipilih untuk pengujian hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel-variabel yang mempengaruhi kesuksesan pengimplementasian ERP di PT CPI adalah performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, managerial intervention dan JDE team quality. Dalam hal ini age belum dapat dijadikan moderating, karena perbandingan sampel antara younger worker dan older worker tidak seimbang, dan perlu penelitian lebih lanjut untuk membuktikan pengaruhnya terhadap model penelitian. Kata kunci: Enterprise Resources Planning, Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, Structural Equation Modeling, Model kesuksesan ERP, PT CPI
