North Sumatra, whose capital city is Medan, is in the 4th position as the most populous province in Indonesia, which of course will continue to increase over time due to population urbanization activities. Meanwhile, Medan City has increasingly scarce land for development, therefore the government is implementing a development strategy in the Medan City area which has a hierarchy related to the development of Medan City and Population. One of the districts that is related to Medan City is Deli Serdang Regency. Of the several sub-districts in Deli Serdang Regency, Tanjung Morawa Sub-district and its surroundings are the sub-districts that are highly prioritized for development. This design is in line with the one million houses for the people program which is the national residential development agenda listed in the attachment to Presidential Decree No.2 of 2015 concerning the national medium term development plan (RPMJ). Tropical architecture is very suitable for this development because it is considered to provide a positive reaction to weather and climate and can provide comfort to building users.

Hospital design plays an important role in improving the recovery of diseases suffered by patients. The healing environment architecture approach is considered capable of supporting the patient's healing process because it has a connection between the environment and the overall architectural design of the building. It is known that the physical and psychological conditions of inpatients tend to be more abnormal than outpatients. On the other hand, medical personnel who work in the inpatient room more often face patient complaints, which increases the potential for stress, heavy saturation, and has an impact on patient decline. Based on this, the researcher examined the relationship between the hospital inpatient room and the concept of healing environment at Wates Husada Gresik Hospital. The purpose of this research is expected to be able to contribute ideas that can be considered in the development of hospital health facility architecture so as to increase the efficiency of patient recovery through healing environment-based health facilities. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and review of observational results and development of analysis from literature studies. The results of this study found that the natural environment and psychological aspects are the main variables in the application of the healing environment of the Wates Husada Gresik Hospital Inpatient so that it is expected to have a positive impact on the psychology of hospitalized patients.

The increasing energy consumption in office buildings, especially in Surabaya, Indonesia, poses challenges related to efficiency and thermal comfort. The country has witnessed a significant rise in energy usage over the past two decades, particularly in the production of services. The graph illustrates high energy intensity, signaling the need for efficiency in both energy production and consumption. Nonetheless, awareness of the energy crisis has spurred the development of environmentally friendly buildings. A case study of Intiland Tower Surabaya, employing bioclimatic architecture, reveals the optimization of natural airflow and lighting, creating a comfortable and sustainable environment. The research methodology involves qualitative methods with descriptive analysis, utilizing data collection through observation and analysis of bioclimatic architecture principles. Results indicate that the application of these principles in Intiland Tower Surabaya has achieved most of its objectives, although limitations persist in the utilization of balconies and transitional spaces.

In every child's developmental process, parents must consistently accompany and support them for optimal growth. However, with the changing times, many mothers are now compelled to work outside the home to meet family needs. The phenomenon of mothers working outside the home can have detrimental effects on the family, especially children in their crucial developmental phase from ages 0 to 6. In response to this concern, there is a need for childcare and schools that provide an environment tailored to children's needs, helping to stimulate their brains. Olifant School is an educational and childcare service that focuses on sensory-based child stimulation. This research aims to assess the extent to which the Olifant School building applies architecture and human senses, particularly in the aspects of vision and touch. The method used is library research in the form of literature studies from various sources which are then explained according to existing parameters, which are then analyzed according to existing parameters to draw conclusions. The results of this study indicate that Olifant School in Yogyakarta is one of the structures built based on human senses, specifically vision and touch.

Reading is an activity carried out to obtain written information so that the more information we read, the more information and knowledge we have. But unfortunately, the level of interest in reading in Indonesia is still relatively low. This can be seen from the less optimal use of the library by the community. One of the factors causing low interest in reading in Indonesia is inadequate library facilities, incomplete collection of books, and inadequate spatial atmosphere. The interior design of the library is quite important because it will improve the function and aesthetic value which will increase the comfort aspect of its users so that they feel at home in the library for long. Therefore, this study aims to analyze in more detail related to the elements in interior design which consists of 6 elements, namely layout, variation, coloring, air temperature, and lighting. The data collection technique for this research uses qualitative methods, namely by collecting data through literature, observing directly to the field, and analyzing the elements that make up the interior design that creates comfort for users of the Cikini Public Library, Jakarta.

Shopping centers are centers of exchange and distribution of goods and services that play an important role in the economic development of a region. This author highlights the role and impact of modern shopping center development on urban development, with a focus on the city of Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Currently, the city has only one shopping center, Delimas Plaza, which is inadequate to meet the needs of the local community. By considering these conditions, this author proposes the construction of a Shopping Center in Lubuk Pakam by applying a tropical architecture theme. This theme was chosen because it can accommodate the tropical climate and weather in Indonesia. The design of the Shopping Center building is designed with attention to natural lighting and optimal air output. The development of Shopping Center in Lubuk Pakam is expected to have a positive impact on the development of the local economy, such as employment and increased tax revenue. In addition, with a more modern and complete shopping center, it is expected that the local community will no longer need to go to downtown Medan to shop, thus enabling better local economic development and growth.
