Abstract

In this study the designed Log-Periodic Dipole Array antenna (LPDA) in the frequency range 400 MHz up to 800 MHz with 7dBi Gain. For the purpose of point to point communication required antenna that has directivity and for wideband telecommunication system required a wideband type antenna. At a gain of 7 dBi, the wider the frequency range then the total length of the Log-Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) antenna structure is also longer. The design of the Log-Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) antenna operates at λ / 2 in the 400 MHz - 800 MHz frequency range and has the ideal VSWR value (VSWR ≈ 1) so that the antenna and transmission line are matched. The advantages of the Log-Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) antenna itself is to have a wide bandwidth and geometry value following a certain comparison.DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jeemecs.v2i2.3126

Abstract

The electrical energy is greatly needed in human’s life and even in the primary life of Indonesian. One of the renewable electrical energy resources is the wind energy which can be obtained by constructing a Wind Power Plant (PLTB, Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Bayu). PLTB works by conversing the wind energy into electrical energy. PLTB that has been applied in Indonesia is using a permanent system with various kinds of blades. In this study, the Portable Wind Turbine is designed by using the inversed taper type blade. The Portable Wind Turbine consists of the inverse taper type wind turbine, DC dynamo, control circuit, and battery. The design begins with creating a simulation to design the turbine and control circuit. The turbine design uses Qblade and SolidWorks software for students, while the control circuit uses free version of Proteus software. The design result is a prototype which possesses a blade with 15cm and 8cm radius. The prototype testing is carried out by comparing two types of blade using various speed of artificial wind. The blade with 15cm length indicates a better result compared to the blade with 8cm. It produces a maximum voltage with the wind speed of 7m/s with 4,35volt and the current of 1,3 ampere.DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jeemecs.v2i2.3162

Abstract

Abstract— Electrical energy is the most vital necessity in daily human’s life. The need of electrical energy has been continuously increasing along with the industry and society development. Indonesia is a tropical country with loads of energy sources which one of them is the new renewable energy sources. There are still many unexploited river flows that possess potentials as energy sources. The Floating-Hydro power plant is one of portable power plants harnessing the river flows as the energy source. In this study, the Low Rotation 1 Phase AC Generator Using Multiple Stator and Rotor Method in the Floating-Hydro Power Plant was designed. This generator consisted of several stators and rotors. The stator was strung together using the enamel wire. As in accordance to the design outcome, the number of stator windings was 364 per coil, the space between windings was 4cm, and the stator diameter was 25cm. Meanwhile, the rotor consisted of Neodymium (NdFeB) type permanent magnet which was going to be induced into the stator. Every rotor consisted of 10 pieces of permanent magnet with a space between magnets was 2cm. The experiment result, which was performed on the 1 phase axial generator using 2 stators and 3 rotors with loads in the form of 3 pieces of 35W 12VAC lamps, generated voltages of 2,1 VAC with currents of 0,03A at the low speed of 100rpm.  Meanwhile, at the speed of 1200rpm, it generated voltages of 10,68VAC with currents of 0,23A. Abstract

A laser is a light source that uses for any kinds of medical application. Diode Laser is one laser type using in the medical application such as Photodynamic Therapy and Photodynamic inactivation. Photodynamic Therapy is one of non-invasive therapy using for many therapies such as antimicrobial therapy, rejuvenating skin therapy, anti-aging skin therapy, etc. This therapy is using a light source with specific characteristics of wavelength in some case are using Light-sensitive molecules. This research aims to determine the potential of the diode laser for photodynamic therapy instrument. Diode Laser with wavelength value 660nm is Red Laser Diode that has main power output 79,4 mW. The application was using 1 cm clearance with the 30s of time exposure. The result showed that for Diode Laser  (λ) 660nm using 7,8x10-2 W input power produce 77,78 mW output power; has operational temperature 53.56oC and light beam 4.2 mm2.DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jeemecs.v2i2.3254

Abstract

Abstract: The radar network system requires high-cost frequency, the complex configuration component of the electromagnetic feeding network circuit to make four output antenna with the same power and different phase output specifically for SIL (Self Injection Locked) Radar, and inexpensive material, especially for the electromagnetic component. 2.4 GHz Square Ring Patch with Ring Slot Microstrip Antenna with four output that has the same power using power divider and 90-degree phase different output for SIL Radar. this is the novel shaped microstrip Antenna with the free frequency, more unassuming configuration, and inexpensive material at the 2.4 GHz for SIL Radar. This system is an important part component of SIL Radar that is package consists of a 2.4 GHz Microstrip antenna with the Square Ring Patch with Ring Slot, double power divider which is double input with quad output with the same power and directional coupler 90-degree phase difference with two input and two output. The Antenna has single band and narrow bandwidth with the frequency is 2.38 GHz until 2.43 GHz under -10dB S parameter and frequency resonance 2.4 GHz, the radiation pattern is directional and the gain is 8.37 dBi, The Power divider has S parameter 2 port output of one part under -20dB at 2.4 GHz and isolation above -4dB that is all good agreement. The 90-degree hybrid coupler has S35 of -35.95dB, S46 of 35.09, S53 of -3.47, and S64 of -3.39 that all is qualified good operation. And overall size of the proposed antenna system is 100 mm times 55.7 mm with FR4 (Phenolic White Paper) with a dielectric constant is 4.4 that has 50ohm.DOI : https://doi.org/10.26905/jeemecs.v2i2.3253

Abstract

Electricity consumption in the world is getting more massive with limited amount of fuel and its expensive price, not to mention the rising of electricity rates (the revocation of subsidy electricity). Therefore, it requires alternative solutions to tackle on energy crisis. One of the ways to save electrical energy is by turning off unutilized electrical appliances. Automation is highly required in daily lives especially in this modern age that demands more effectiveness and efficiency in daily activities. Oftentimes, one forgets about some tiny actions such as turning off the lamps dispenser, fans, air conditioners and any other electrical appliances. These actions cause electrical energy waster due to electricity consumption negligence. In order to avoid electrical energy waste, it requires an easy and effective electricity load control system. Relay Driver is utilized as an intermediary thus the main computer is able to control actuator with an on/off switch. Electrical appliances are able to be controlled over an application in an android smartphone as well as in a computer which are connected to internet through a wireless connection (WiFi) by tapping a menu feature in the application in order that it can be accessed automatically and can be controlled manually and borderlessly.
