Abstract

A historical reality in the reform era right now, on one side of the nation of Indonesia hasthe hope of a brighter future. On the other hand, the people of Indonesia entered the multidimensionalcrisis accompanied by separatist movements and socio-cultural issues ofconcerns regarding riot and disintegration of the nation. To overcome these problems,required education instilling the principles of peace to learners. Learning history played animportant role in internalization and build awareness of multiculturalism to learners. Abstract

Character refers to a set of knowledge, attitudes, motivations, behaviors and skills. Charactereducation learners can be developed through history. The development of character values areintegrated in every subject of history courses. The values are listed in the syllabus and lessonplan. In forming the characters of the students are integrated in the subjects of history, itsimplementation is supported basic competencies in the curriculum in 2013 organized into fourcore competencies. Abstract

Education in multicultural society and global society environment should equip the students tohave cognitive ability and interpersonal skill in order to learn and to work, and to live withothers, coming from different race, religion, language and cultural background. For thatreasons, education should be prepared to have attitude to be ready to cooperate and skill tocreate cooperation. Without social skill, human beings cannot interact with otherscorresponding to the role in social structure existing in their environment. Abstract

Full day school is a schooling program with the strategy of shortening the time outside schoolwith strategies learners get an extra hour to education, which designed to the process ofeducation and learning in primary schools and junior high schools.The idea of full day school is very feasible to minimize the negative influence of the homeenvironment and the community outside the school. Children in its activities became morefocused when in a school environment that is designed for the provision of good education.Full day school program already widely implemented in countries such as China, Japan andeven the United States. Results have demonstrated a positive thing for the development ofchildrens character. In Indonesia, the full day school program has been implemented in anumber of private schools, in the last year.Full day school program is applied in the model of integrated education is good, if theapplication is done thoroughly. Full day school program be tested in some urban public schoolsthat have the completeness of adequate infrastructure, as well as private schools who areinterested. This program can help difficulties urban parents who generally work all day. With afull day school children after school can follow the activities of deepening subjects and extracurricular activities to return along with the parents when they returned to work, did not gohome without supervision from the family and school.It required a thorough investigation before the policy is applied. Abstract

Kaffir lime oil is essential oil from kaffir lime leaves (Citrus hystrix. DC). That essential oilpossesses some important bioactivities such as antioxidant, antileukemic, antitussive,antihemorrhage, antioxidative stress properties, and antibacterial properties. Nowdays,essential oil of kaffir lime is in demand as a fragrance in the food, perfumery and cosmeticindustries our present study investigated the effect of leaves treatment by hydrodisstillationprocess on phenolic compounds and antioxidant properties as well as volatile compounds ofkaffir lime leaf. The results showed milling provided the highest values of total phenolic(23.15 mg/GAE/g) and total flavonoid contents (12.85 mg/RE/g) along with antioxidantactivities determined by in vitro DPPH assays. Our findings suggest that different treatmentof leafs before hydrodisttilation process caused various effect on the phenolic compoundsand antioxidant properties of kaffir lime oil.Keywords : kaffir lime oil, phenolics, flavonoids, hydrodistillation

Abstract

Indonesia is a large archipelago that contains population numbering more than 250million people, a number that makes Indonesia one of the most populous countriesin the world. These large number imply that significant culture, ethnic, religiousand linguistic diversity. Indonesias national spirit Bhinekka Tunggal Ika (Unity inDiversity) refers to the variety in the countrys internal composition but alsoindicates that despite all differences in its multicultural society there is a true senseof unity (Indonesianness) among the people of Indonesia. Strengthening this spiritthrough political communication is very important in ASEAN Community.ASEAN Community as product of new regionalism give an opportunity for eachcountry to promote its potency narrowing development gap. One of the pillars ofASEAN Community, ASEAN Socio-Culture Community can be an opportunity fornational identity of Indonesia. Abstract

This study is aimed at describing the structure syllabus of the second semester of EnglishEducation of School of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas MuhammadiyahSurakarta in terms of the items to be taught and their sequence. The type of this study isdescriptive qualitative, the object of this study is the appropriateness of the structure syllabus ofthe second semester of English Education of School of Teacher Training and Education ofUniversitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, the data of this study are the items to be taught in thestructure syllabus of the second semester of English Education of School of Teacher Trainingand Education of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta taken from the structure curriculum ofthe second semester of English Education of School of Teacher Training and Education ofUniversitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, and they are collected by the document analysis. Thedata are analyzed qualitatively to recognize the items to be taught based on the CourseLearning Outcomes of teaching structure to the second semester students of English Educationof School of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta and thecriteria used as the basis of deciding them. Then, they are analyzed to recognize their sequencebased on the criteria used as the basis of deciding what sequence they have to be put. Thisstudy recognizes the appropriateness of the items to be taught in the structure syllabus of thesecond semester of English Education of School of Teacher Training and Education ofMuhammadiyah University of Surakarta, but one of them. Abstract

Islam is a religion rahmatan lil Alamin mercy to all the worlds, Islam is a peacefulreligion, and Islam recognizes the multicultural to assume that all human beings areequal, human glory of Islam measure levels of devotion to god. Islam highly appreciatethe difference, but in practice often arise precisely the opposite tendency, with morehighlight each class differences with one another. Identity Islam and views betweengroups are often made in the interests of the strategic for the group of people to satisfy hisdesire, This situation is exacerbated by the proliferation of radicalism Islam who crave theglory of Islam by claiming that his group is the most true to the principle of radicalism isthe best way to achieve greatness of Islam , this is a great danger that could divide thenation. Islamic radicalism appears like a fungus in the rainy season, Islamic radicalismdiIndonesia appear bright latently or openly. The radical right with the attitude ofintolerance, bigotry, always felt completely alone and assume people / other religionsfalse, exclusive, revolutionary attitude, tend to use violent means to achieve its objectivesand attitude to understand religious texts textually of partial and ignores the value -thevalue of Islamic modernity. Madrasah schools in particular is one of the strategic placesto spread the teachings of the radical right, because young people are deciding the futureof the nation. Multicultural education at the school is very necessary, because the madrasastudents should realize that they are in a heterogeneous culture although he memempuheducation in state schools tend to have a homogenous culture. This study uses literaturestudy. The results Showed that the multicultural education in madrassas have some: (1)the importance of education in Madrasah multikural (2) the danger of right-wing radicals(3) the practice of multicultural education in MadrasahKeywords: Multicultural, Radical Right.

Abstract

The GrandMosque of Sultan Mahmud II Badarrudin is the largest mosque in Palembang,the architecture is influenced by diverse cultures on every building. This suggests thatacculturation that exists between Palembang and other nations. The building retained itsauthenticity, to be interpreted by future generations as one of the relics of the past thatdescribes multiculturalism in Palembang. Multicultural research in the architecture of theGreat Mosque of Sultan Mahmud II is a qualitative Badarrudin that uses library researchand field research. The research objective is implemented to learners throughmulticultural education through historical relics. The formulation of the problem is howthe culture of other nations affect the architecture of the GrandMosque of Sultan MahmudII Badarrudin Palembang? This study uses culture and multiculturalism with Historicalapproach. Theory used for more in-depth analysis using the theory of semiotics, the theoryof diffusion and acculturation theory. The results of this study the Grand Mosque ofPalembang as a result of the work of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin monumental in thepresentation of architecture can not be separated from the influence of outside culturesthat entered the archipelago, namely Chinese, Arabic and European (Dutch).
