Abstract

Abstract Until now the data storage device is still constrained unstable because of the super paramagnetic effect. This effect can occur when the value of bit density increases or when the magnetic energy decreases which causes the process of demagnetization due to the magnetization orientation changed in the presence of high temperature. CoPd as one of the ferromagnetic materials has magnetic anisotropy value and large coercivity of the field, so that this material can be patterned with very small size according to the requirement of data storage tool. However, data analysis of the CoPd hysteresis curve is required when the microwave assisted at the CoPd would give to rise of temperature. Therefore, we observe the value of the coercivity of the field on the ellipsoid CoPd material with the dimension of size the diameter varied. In addition external field, the microwave assisted with the value of amplitude is 10000 mT and the value of frequency is 80 GHz give to the sample. Retrieval of data using a micromagnetic simulation program from a public software called Object Oriented Micromagnetic Framework (OOMMF). From the data processing, it is found that coercivity of the field becomes smaller when dimension of sample are getting bigger, This means that the reversal of magnetization of CoPd is getting smaller. With these results it can be concluded that CoPd are suitable for use as data storage devices. The best dimensions are (150x150x450) nm3 and (165x165x495) nm3. Abstract

Transformator is an electrical device that uses a principle of solenoid wrapped in kern, and there are usually two or more coils. Each coil of the taranformator is electromagnetically connected. The transformator is made to fulfill the specific level of voltage required in the devices or systems that use alternating current electrical energy. For example, transformator tap change is design to have different number of primary turns to produce a fixed output voltage, in term there is a changing in the input voltage. This research tries to analyze the effect of the length of primary coil difference of transformator to the voltage resulted in the secondary coil. The objective of the study is producing a relationship of primary coil length variation to the resulting voltage. Variation of coil length is made from 1 cm to 15 cm with interval of 1 cm coil length. The length of the secondary coil is also varied imto 3 cm, 6 cm, and 9 cm. The test is performed by providing the same input voltage at each variation of the primary coil length and then measure the output voltage. The results show that the longer primary coil will produce the smaller output voltage in the secondary coil of tranformator. Based on the resulted graph, the relationship of the length variant of primary coil is linear to the voltage measured in the secondary coil.with determination coefficient (R2) of 0.9603, 0.9775, and 0.9822 respectively forlength of 3 cm, 6 cm, and 9 cm of the secondary coil.

Abstract

Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia with a very high population density low to the upper distribution of buildings which causes many areas of Jakarta to have a high vulnerability to natural disasters, one of which is an earthquake. One of the earthquakes felt this year was Lebak Banten Earthquake January 23, 2018, with a magnitude 6.1 at 13.34 local time. The depth of the earthquake was 61 Km at -7.09o S - 106.03o E, in the South Indian Ocean of Java Island. The epicenter was 43 km from Cilangkahan Village, Malingping Sub-district, Lebak District, Banten. We analyze the ground motion characteristics in the Jakarta area using 3 component acceleration data at Jakarta City Hall Office (JAKO) and Tanjung Priok Maritime Station (JATA) with dynamic statistical analysis method. The effective duration and earthquake response spectrum are determined using the acceleration data. In this study, the active period of the earthquake was calculated using the Trifunac and Brady method. The results of the analysis show that the most significant acceleration spectrum at JAKO station is found in component E of 0.07742 g in the period of 0.54 s while for the most significant acceleration spectrum JATA station found in component N of 0.04572 g in the period of 0.58 s. The effective duration obtained at JAKO stations was 56.76 s and JATA station 63.47 s. These results indicate that in the case of the Lebak earthquake, the further region from the epicenter of the earthquake has an effective duration which is relatively longer.

Abstract

Determining the position of one- and two-proton dripline for isotone of N = 18, 20, and 22 has been studied through Modified Relativistic Mean Field (MRMF). The model exemplifies three impacts, namely isovector-isoscalar coupling, tensors, and electromagnetic exchange through five parameter set variations. The position of one- and two-proton dripline for the isotones is predicted by applying two methods, which are two-proton separation energy, and Fermi energy. The research shows that the prediction of one- and two-proton dripline for isotone of N = 18, and N = 20 is positioned at Z = 22 and Z = 26 consecutively. Then, the prediction of one- and two-proton dripline for isotone of N = 22 has two positions, Z = 26 and Z = 28. The calculation result indicates that the position prediction for isotone of N = 18, N = 20, and N = 22 is following the research result conducted by Nazarewicz with RMF+NLSH model [1]. Meanwhile, isovector-isoscalar coupling, tensors, and electromagnetic exchange do not affect massively for the position prediction of two-proton dripline. However, the three methods affect one-proton dripline.

Abstract

Carbon dots (C-dots) have been successfully synthesized from cassava peels using the hydrothermal method. The C-dots are further passivated using poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) with a variation of the volume of 0.5 ml, 1.0 ml, and 1.5 ml. The properties of photoluminescence C-dots before and after PEG were characterized using photoluminescence (PL) and time-resolved photoluminescence (TRPL) spectrophotometers. PEG succeeded in influencing PL C-dots properties, such as peak wavelength, PL intensity, and electron time decay. The addition of 0.5 ml of PEG to C-dots is the optimum condition and best with the peak wavelength, the PL intensity and, time decay electron is 507.52 nm, 5302 a.u, and 3.794031133 ns, respectively.

Abstract

Blacksmith is a people's business that has been going on for a long time in Indonesia. Based on the experience that has been obtained from time to time and hereditary, the blacksmith industry has been done by the community to meet the needs of agricultural and household utensils. However, observe to this people's business, now it decreases with various causal factors, such as the ease of imported goods on the market with lower prices. Many creative efforts need to be carried out so that these people's businesses remain and increasingly develop, among others by improving the quality of the process of a blacksmith so that their products are quite competitive. This article describes the results of the research in the laboratory regarding the physical processes of heating and quenching under blacksmith, which the results have been applied to community service activities at the Suger Kidul villages in Jember Regency. The study aimed to find the most appropriate procedure for steel tool manufacturing processes so that the blacksmith products have high quality as high hardness. The physical process for blacksmith process is heating and quenching. This study analyzes the proper heat (temperature), proper processing time, and proper media for heating and quenching to produce good harness quality of the product.
