Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of integrated thematic learning media based on video animation using the Adobe Premiere Pro application for fifth grade of elementary schools. This type of research is research and development with the development model being the ADDIE model. The research subjects were teachers and students of fifth grade of public elementary school in VII Koto Sungai Sarik. The participants are 20 people including 10 female students and 10 male students. The results of the study show that the development of integrated thematic learning media based on video animation using the Adobe Premiere Pro application which was developed obtained a validity level of 90.7% for material, 93.7% for language and 88.3% for media with very valid categories. The results of the teacher's response questionnaire obtained a practicality percentage of 95.8%, while the student response questionnaire results obtained a practicality percentage of 95%. This study indicates that the Indonesian Language Learning Media based on Animation Video Using Adobe Premiere Pro Application is sufficient to be used in the learning and teaching in the fifth grade of elementary schools

Abstract

Using traditional game media provides several benefits in teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Previous studies found that giving English numeracy material using Dhako games was effective in increasing vocabulary but less effective in arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). This study aimed to determine the modification of the Dhako game on vocabulary mastery and arithmetic operation skills for 5th-grade students of SDN Aengdake I. The research method used was quantitative: one group pretest and posttest design with data analysis using T-Test analysis. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, the students' mean pretest = 74.47 and posttest = 89.76. Based on the results of descriptive analysis, the students' mean pretest = 69.56 and posttest = 91.35. Thus, it could be concluded that the provision of Dhako games with a PBL approach significantly affected English numeracy skills. Based on the output table of the ttest results, the value of sig = 0.000 is obtained, which means it was smaller than 0.05. Thus Ho was rejected, and H1 was accepted, meaning that there was an effect of the Dhako game with the PBL approach on improving English numeracy skills for fifth graders at SDN Aengdake 1.

Abstract

By having the ability to read and write, a person can live his life with better quality. Especially in an increasingly advanced era 21. Low interest in reading is the main factor in students' low reading skills. This research aims to develop big book media based on local Riau wisdom for beginning reading. The development model used is the 4D model, namely define, design, development. The data sources in this research are teachers, students, and validators, material experts, language experts, and design experts. The big book media is said to be suitable without revision according to the results obtained, namely the material aspect obtained a percentage of 92.5% in the very valid category, the language aspect 95% in the very valid category and the design aspect 96.25% in the very valid category. Overall the validity of the big book media obtained an average score of 94.58% so that this big book media is categorized as very valid without revision and is suitable for use. Then obtained student responses with an average of 96.6%. The implications of this big book media are expected to attract students to read, improve initial reading skills in lower grades, and increase students' knowledge about local Riau wisdom, specifically folklore.

Abstract

Many factors cause mathematics problems in elementary school students. Starting from learning, learning approaches, to questions related to mathematics. This research aims to analyze and describe students' attitudes towards mathematics, accelerated learning cycles, and mathematics questions. This research was conducted on fifth grade at one of the state elementary schools in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. Data collection in this study used a Likert scale model by analyzing student responses through questionnaires on subject scores and neutral scores on teacher and student activity observation sheet data. Based on the results of research conducted on students, it shows that elementary school students show a positive attitude towards mathematics, learning using the Accelerated Learning Cycle (ALC) approach and mathematics questions. As for the findings obtained from the field, researchers suggest that teachers can use the ALC approach in the mathematics learning process, and get used to giving mathematical problems related to everyday life which can improve students' thinking abilities. The implication of this research is that the habituation of students’ positive attitudes towards mathematics, the ALC approach and mathematics questions can improve students' learning achievement in mathematics at school

Abstract

The importance of implementing innovative learning models, such as the realistic mathematics approach (RME), is a solution to improve student interaction and mathematics learning outcomes. This research aims to evaluate the effect of the Realistic Mathematics (RME) approach on Mathematics learning outcomes and critical thinking abilities of students in classes VA and VB at SDN 02 Percontohan Bukittingi. The research method used was a quasi-experimental research design (Quasi Experiment) with an experimental group of 25 students at VA SDN 02 Percontohan Bukittingi (class with the PMR approach) and a control group of 24 students at VB SDN 02 Percontohan Bukittingi (class with conventional learning). The research instrument involved critical thinking ability tests and Mathematics learning outcomes tests (Pre-test and Post-test). The results of data analysis show that the application of the Realistic Mathematics Approach has a significant influence in improving Mathematics learning outcomes and students' critical thinking abilities (Sig. 0.00 < 0.05). The experimental group showed a higher increase in average scores. (83.68) compared to the control group (61.54). The Realistic Mathematics Approach Model can be used as an effective alternative for teachers to improve student's critical thinking skills and understanding of mathematical concepts

Abstract

This article shows the results of research that tries to compare the word wall and crossword puzzle in improving students' vocabulary at Mangkunegara Elementary School for the 2023/2024 academic year, located in Mangkunegara Village, Bojonegara District, Serang Regency, Banten. For the purpose of this topic, 24 students were selected as samples, while the population of this study was 140 students. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a posttest-only control group design. Based on the results of average calculations, standard deviation tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests to examine the data, The findings show that using Word Wall has a significant positive influence on increasing students' vocabulary in terms of Word Wall media (x ̅ = 41.66, s = 18.38) had a greater influence than the group that used Crossword Puzzle (x ̅ = 41.66, s = 14.82). In short, word walls are an effective way to teach students vocabulary mastery. The implication of carrying out this research is to provide treatment in the form of a list of words on a word wall to class V students at SDN Mangkunegara. This teaching strategy can help students improve vocabulary mastery

Abstract

High Order Thinking Skills became the center of attention to achieve the goal, namely that students can think at a high level in any matter, one of which is by using learning models during the teaching and learning process. Therefore, this article discusses an overview of problem based learning and high order thinking skills (HOTS) learning models. This research applies the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by collecting data through POP (Publish or Perish) and ERIC. resulting in an initial database of 18,724 articles from ERIC and 116 articles from Scopus. Then the data was filtered based on descriptors with the keyword "thinking skills," resulting in 2,176 articles. Next, data was filtered based on the education level of elementary school students, with a total of 230 articles. Next, the focus was narrowed to five articles for final analysis. Topics studied include education level, year of publication, and analysis results. The relationship between the problem-based learning model and student HOTS is not limited to exact subjects such as mathematics and science. Students are also trained to have high analytical skills in nonexact subjects such as social sciences (IPS), where they are expected to be able to understand large amounts of material effectively
