Reading is one of the important aspects of the communication process. Reading can make someone better understand the contents of the reading. In learning to make it easier for students to understand the contents of the reading it will be easier if it begins with the ability to determine the main ideas of the paragraph. Based on this, the researchers conducted a study by applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model to the ability to determine the main idea of paragraphs in fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 003 Pulau Kopung. This study aims to determine the effect of the CIRC learning model on the ability to determine the main ideas of paragraphs of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 003 Pulau Kopung. This research method is a quasi-experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study was conducted in two classes, namely the VA class as the control class and VB class as the experimental class with 22 students in each class. The results of the study showed that the CIRC learning model influenced the ability determine the main idea of the paragraph with the results of calculations sourced from the index gain, the experimental class using the CIRC learning model gets an increase in gain of 0.59 with the middle class and the control class with the ordinary learning model gets an increase of 0.31 with the middle class.

Research on efforts to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics students class V SDN 021 Muara Langsat through the use of demonstration methods and props held in the even semester 2014/2015 with the aim to know the improvement of student learning outcomes through demonstrations and props on subjects mathematics class V SDN 021 Muara Langsat. The data collected in this research is teacher activity data and student activity data in two cycles. Each cycle has four stages: planning, action execution, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study are students of grade V SDN 021 Estuary Langsat which amounted to 19 students consisting of 10 men and 9 women. This study was conducted on the basic competence to describe the nature of the wake flat. The results obtained from this research is the use of demonstration methods and props can improve student learning outcomes.

This study aims to improve their learning achievement after using the adaptation of the learning model to make a match and talking stick in a Social Sciences subject at SMP Negeri 15 Dumai. This research is collaborative classroom action research with stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 15 Dumai with research subjects of class VIII students with a total of 26 students. The results showed that the adaptation of the learning model make a match and talking stick was able to increase the average student learning, indicated by the fact that in the first cycle the implementation of learning reached 78.08 and in Cycle II it was achieved. 87.31 increase student learning activeness, indicated by the fact that in Cycle I 60.23%, and in cycle II 94.32% and improve student learning achievement, indicated by the fact that in the pre-cycle the percentage of students who attained mastery level was 34, 62% (9 students) and students who did not reach the mastery level were 65.38% (17 students); in the first cycle the percentage of students who reached the mastery level was 73.08% (19 students) and students who did not reach the mastery level were 26.92% (7 students); in Cycle II the percentage of students who reached the mastery level was 88.46% (23 students) and students who did not reach the mastery level were 11.54% (3 students). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the adaptation of the learning model make a match and talking stick is able to improve the learning achievement of social subjects in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 15 Dumai.

This research is motivated by the low writing skills of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 187 Pekanbaru. The low writing skills are caused by the difficulty of writing descriptions that are in accordance with the Indonesian writing rules. In addition, they are less creative in developing ideas that are in their minds. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences and the effect of writing essay skills between students who learned using guided writing strategies with students who study conventionally. This research is a quasi-experimental research subject with class V students of SD Negeri 187 Pekanbaru. The results showed that there was an effect of guided writing strategy to improve the essay writing skills of the fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 187 Pekanbaru. It can be seen from the increase in description essay writing skills from the average initial test 68.82 to 76.82 in the final test with an average increase of 0.27 low categories. While the control class had an initial increase in the initial test of 69.26 to 70.51 in the final test with an average increase of 0.12 in the low category. The guided writing strategy has an influence with a very strong level of relationship with a coefficient of 0.838 and a coefficient of determination of 70.22%, in other words, a guided writing strategy can improve students' essay writing skills.

This research is based on the low social science learning outcomes on the basic competencies "Symptoms of the Nature of Indonesia and Neighboring Countries" VIB Class students of SDN 37 Pekanbaru. Problem solving in this study uses the power of two techniques. This study aims to improve social studies learning outcomes of students in VIB class SDN 37 Pekanbaru. The results of this study show, seen from the pre-cycle average value of students amounted to 45.48 (very poor) with students completeness only 7 people or 22.58%, after improvement in the first cycle, the average student increased to 68.70 (moderate) with student completeness as many as 22 students or 70.96%, while in the second cycle, again increased to 82.58 (very good) with the completeness of students as many as 29 students or 93.54%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the technique of the power of two can improve the low social studies learning outcomes on the material Symptoms of the Nature of the Country of Indonesia and the Neighbors of VIB students in the SDN 37 Pekanbaru.

The purpose of this study is to increase learning outcomes of historics grade X MIA 1 Pekanbaru. This research is Classroom Action Research consisting of two cycles. The subject of this research was students of grade X SMA X NUA 1 Pekanbaru and students of SMA 11. The number of students is 36 students. The writer as a class X teacher has conducted creative and productive methods. In pre-cycle the lowest score is 69.25 and it does not require the criterion of Minimal Completness requirements which has been setted 71. The author strives to choose creative and productive methods. The learning process in the first cycle has changed in the number of class score of 2591, and the second cycle was 3021. The average score of the first cycle increased to (71.97), and the second cycle was (79.50). For calculation of completeness, students who complete pre-cycle was 41.69%; cycle I was (80.56%); cycle II was (100%). The score of cycle I was (69) and cycle II was (81) while the highest score was pre-cycle (76); cycle I was (77) and cycle II was (88). For range and criterion score, pre-cycle ranks sufficient was 15 (41.67%), low was 20 (55.56%) and very low was 1 (02.78%) while Cycle I was only 29 (80.56%) low was 7 (19.44%) and cycle II was 36 (100%). From these explanations the range and precycle criterion score were high.

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of natural science students with the application of the type of cooperative learning model of snowball throwing in class II of SD Negeri 007 Kampung Baru Kecamatan Gunung Toar. This research is a class action research that includes planning (action), action (observation), observation (observation), reflection (reflection). The subjects in this study were class II of SD Negeri 007 Kampung Baru Kecamatan Gunung Toar, amounting to 21 people consisting of 9 male students and 12 female students. The results showed, seen from the basic scores of students who completed as many as 10 people with a percentage of 47.61%. After repairs in the first cycle, student learning outcomes increased to 15 people who completed with a percentage of 71.42%. while in the second cycle again increased to 19 people who completed with a percentage of 90.47%. Based on these results it can be concluded that by applying the snowball throwing type cooperative learning model can improve the science learning outcomes of Class II of SD Negeri 007 Kampung Baru Kecamatan Gunung Toar.

This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of students' social skills in science learning by applying the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning strategy to fifth grade students of the 009 state primary school in Mount Toar. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students, amounting to 26 students. The instrument of data collection is a social skills observation sheet consisting of 5 attitude indicators. From the results of data analysis, an overview of the students' social skills is obtained, the indicators are in the task of taking turns in sharing tasks and listening actively are categorized as high, while the indicators encourage participation and ask are categorized as moderate. Overall the social skills of students are categorized as high which shows that the learning strategy of Think Talk Write effectively trains the social skills of public elementary school 009 Gunung Toar.

This study aims to improve student reading skills by applying the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in class II. B SDN 004 Teratak Buluh. This research is a class action research that includes planning (action), action (observation), observation (observation), reflection (evaluation) or evaluation. The results showed that the value of students' reading skills for each assessment indicator was in the range of 65% to 85% in the first cycle, which was included in the good and very good category. While the results of the overall reading skills assessment were 71.2% in the good category. The results of students' reading skills in cycle II, the assessment is in the range of 84% to 90% which is included in the category of good and very good, while the results of the overall reading skills assessment in the second cycle are 86.2% with a very good category. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model can improve the reading skills of students in class II. B SDN 004 Teratak Buluh.

The background in this study is the low social studies learning outcomes of third-grade students of SD Negeri 37 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is to improve social studies learning outcomes by applying the cooperative learning model type picture and picture. The subjects of this study were class III B SD Negeri 37 Pekanbaru totaling 35 students. The results showed that student learning outcomes experienced an increase in the base score was 57.28 to 70.71, an increase of 23.45%. The average score from base to cycle 2 to 83.42 increased by 45.63%. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative and learning model type picture and the picture has been proven to be able to improve the learning outcomes of social studies in Grade III students at SD Negeri 37 Pekanbaru.
