This research aimed to create a guide module for learning outcome test based on High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) in lectures at the Departement of History Education at Universitas Riau in Penilaian Pembelajaran Sejarah course. The research method used in this research was research and development adopting 4-D (Four-D) development model. In this research, the development focused on the creation of a guide module for the preparation of learning outcomes instruments based on High Order Thinking Skills. The validation result from the material expert was 3.8 (very feasible) while the validation result from the language expert was 3.6 (very feasible), and the results of the module trial for students was 96.22 (very positive). Thus, the guide module was suitable to be utilized as teaching materials in Penilaian pembelajaran Sejarah course at the Deaprtment of History Education, Universitas Riau.

The era of globalization of radicalism develops rapidly, especially through the social networks accessed by high school students and university students. Thus, it is necessary to measure students' radicalism attitudes to know the description of students’ characters so that the institution can take prevention or coaching actions. This study aimed to develop a college entrance test instrument, especially the entrance test at IBM ASMI. The developed instrument was the Personal Characteristics Test (TKP) instrument which could identify radicalism. The research method was R & D development research with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The content of the instrument was validated through the experts judgment and proven by construct validity by conformatory analysis and proven reliability. The results of this study was a valid and reliable measurement instrument that could identify radicalism for students. There were 5 dimensions of radicalism, starting from religion, family, personality, political views, and social relations. Focus Group Discussion produced 5 dimensions, 13 indicators, and 35 items that could be used to measure students’ radicalism attitudes. The results of the validity test contained 2 items that needed to be improved. The results of the reliability of the instruments developed were high and the instrument was ready to use.

The research objective was to determine the parenting styles applied by parents to motivate their children in online learn in Desa Kalipucang Wetan Jepara. This research explained factors that motivated children in family parenting in Desa Kalipucang Wetan Jepara and the form of children’s motivation in family parenting in Desa Kalipucang Wetan Jepara. This research discussed the parents’ parenting styles and its implications for children’s motivation in online learning in. Parenting styles referred to the parental control to provide care for children; in this case, parents educated and guided the child’s personality as well as built knowledge so that the child could grow up according to his developmental age. There were four types of parenting, including permissive, democratic, authoritative, and neglective parenting. Family learning environment was a learning environment that greatly affected the children’s pattern of life. Meanwhile, learning motivation was an encouragement from inside and outside to keep learning so that someone, especially elementary school students, could achieve maximum learning outcomes as a result of high enthusiasm or motivation to learn. Positive parenting would provide a high motivation for children to learn.

This research was a qualitative descriptive study aiming at revealing factors determining students’ self-motivation at Universitas Riau. Selfmotivation was a crucial element in the implementation of blended learning-based curriculum in the industrial 4.0 era. The data for this research were collected by using questionnaires which were distributed through google forms for all students in each faculty. They were selected as the samples in this research with a total of 515 students. The results showed that the score for ‘having motivation to achieve something’ was 4.21 or 84.12% which was categorized as good; the score for the commitment aspect was 4.34 or 86.70% which was categorized as good; the score of the initiative aspect was 3.87 or 77.50% which was categorized as sufficient; the score for optimistic aspect was 4.15 or 83%, and the overall average score was 4.14 or 82.85% which was categorized as good. Based on the 10 indicators as a determining factors for the students’ self-motivation at Universitas Riau, all of them can determine the level of achievement of the self-motivation . Sequentially, the determining factors from the highest to the lowest were needed for lectures, self-introspection, fulfilling class assignments, confidence in abilities, complacency/not giving up easily, enthusiasm for attending lectures, orientation to success, prefering to work on case studies, self-confidence, and managing times for study.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of implementing inquiry learning model to improve students’ achievement on the material about plant organs at grade VII SMPS Catholic St. Aloysius Wolotopo. This research was a Classroom Action Research conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were 31 students at grade VII SMPS Catholic St. Aloysius Wolotopo for the academic year 2019/2020. Data were obtained from teachers and students. The data were collected through tests and non-tests (observation). Then, the data were analyzed by using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the implementation of inquiry learning model could improve students’ achievement on the material about plant organs. This was seen from the results of the study finding that the percentage of the learning mastery increased from 61% in cycle I to 100% in cycle II. Besides, the students’ participation in the learning process also increased from 53% in cycle I to 90% in cycle II. Thus, it could be concluded that utilizing inquiry learning model improved the students’ learning achievement at grade VII SMPS Catholic St. Aloysius Wolotopo. This was because inquiry learning model stimulated students to think critically, creatively, and innovatively in order to find and solve a problem by using scientific steps.

This study utilized a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. This study aimed to determine the parents’ involvement in early childhood learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Early childhood needs assistance during the learning process from home; therefore, the role of parents is very crucial since it gives a long-term impact on children's development. Changes in the atmosphere and climate of learning activities from the classroom to the home centainly bring new challenges. Respondents in this research were 102 parents with 4-6 years old-children in Pekanbaru. The samples were selected by using random sampling technique. The data analysis was presented in table. Overall, the results of the study on parents’ involvement which consisted of three indicators (parents' motivation, parents' perceptions of other people's invitations to be involved in children's education, and parents’ feeling) was generally high. This indicated that parents possessed good motivation to assist children in learning by understanding their important role and having confidence in accompanying childrens’ learning activities.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought significant changes to learning systems. Thus, it is highly important to evaluate the implementation of online learning. This study aimed to investigate students’ satisfaction with online learning through End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) proposed by Doll. There were five EUCS indicators utilized to determine the level of satisfaction, namely: content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and punctuality. EUCS instruments were adopted, modified, and tested for the validity of 12 items. This study involved 108 respondents consisting of students from four faculties at IAIN Langsa. Data were collected by using a google form questionnaire. The findings showed that the score for the indicator of the content of online learning was 67% (satisfied) while the score for the indicator of the accuracy of online learning was 54, 54% (quite satisfied). Moreover, the score of the indicator of the form of online learning was 56, 48% (quite satisfied), and the score of the indicator of the convenience of the access of online learning was 78, 79% (satisfied). At last, the score of the indicator of punctuality of online learning was 64, 26% (satisfied). This data showed that the highest score of students’ satisfaction was the convenience of the access of online learning while the lowest score of students’ satisfaction was the indicator of accuracy.

This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of multicultural-based Indonesian teaching materials to improve students’ critical thinking skills at grade IV elementary schools in Kabupaten Jepara. The type of this study was Research and Development (R & D). The teaching materials weretested at grade 1 SD Tritis and SD 1 Karangnongko as the experiment groups and SD 1 Daren and SD 3 Nalumsari as the control groups. Datacollection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Indonesian teaching materials were developed based on themulticultural based Indonesian teaching materials on the theme 4 “various jobs”at grade IV elementary school. Results showed that multiculturalbased Indonesian teaching materials was effective to enhance the students’ critical thinking skills at grade IV elementary schools in KabupatenJepara. The results of t-test on the experimental and control groups was 8.994, which indicated that tcount >ttable (8.994 > 1.699). Hence, Ho wasrejected and Ha was accepted. Based on this result, it could be concluded that utilizing multicultural based Indonesian teaching materialswas effective and fit to improve the students’ critical thinking skills at grade IV elementary schools in Kabupaten Jepara.

This research was motivated by the fact that teachers did not design test instruments following the indicators and learning objectives, and teachers were unable to arrange instruments based on the level of difficulty and the use of language following the level of students’ understanding. This study aimed to improve the teachers’ ability to design test instruments through integrated self-assessment training activities. This research was school action research conducted on teachers of SDN 007 Pematang Ibul. The research subjects were 17 teachers. The data were collected through an observation sheet. The results showed that the teacher's ability to design the test instrument in cycle I was 71.78 with a good criterion, and it increased to 87.14 with a very good criterion in cycle II. Based on the results of this research, it could be concluded that integrated self-assessment training improved the teachers’ ability to design test instruments at SDN 007 Pematang Ibul.

This study aimed to explore the concept of eco-connectivity appeared in online-based distance learning (PJJ) for mentally disabled children. Furthermore, this study aimed to provide an understand about the need for developing learning models towards the current conventional learning models. Qualitative research with a case study approach was utilized in this study to examine the phenomenon of eco-connectivity of art learning for mentally disabled children at SLB Gedangan Sidoarjo, East Java. The research subjects were IB and AM, the mentally disabled children C at SLB Gedangan Sidoarjo, East Java. This research was conducted from September 2020 to January 2021. The data obtained were analyzed based on John Dewey’ point of view about art education and its existence, Cathy Malchiodi about education for children with special needs, and the learning connectivity by George Siemens. The results showed that eco-connectivity maximized teachers' role in adjusting circumstances by designing learning according to essential competencies and making tutorials assisting children's learning with the help of children's learning environments. Ecoconnectivity was also seen in the assessment process by reviewing children's work and interviews with parents. This provided a comprehensive assessment, which further strengthened teachers, parents, and the environment to support mentally disabled children's competence through art learning.
