Jurnal Pertahanan published articles on international defense strategy and defense managements. Topics with theoretical or practical appeal or a mixture of both. Micro-hydro as one form of renewable energy and could be developed, it is important as a new knowledge so that it can know to the public. This study shows how the feasibility of micro hydro system to be built in the communities to provide benefits to the safety and well-being. Feasibility study covering aspects of the social environment, the technology and its benefits. Through the simulation of the application of micro hydro power plant (MHP) in the Indonesian Defence University (IDU), this study intends to find empirical data is about the design of the MHP can be implemented. This research reveals about the type of MHP in accordance with the demographic conditions in the IDU.

This research aims to measure the level of disaster preparedness and analyze disaster information in the online media on the level of preparedness Jakarta Capital City. This study uses a mix methods. Data were obtained from questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the average level of disaster preparedness in teenagers were categorized medium, i.e. 63.78. Qualitative analysis of the results of the data collection is known that online media affect the improvement of disaster preparedness, but teenagers at State Junior High 3 Jakarta online media as a tool not optimally used.

Economic empowerment is an effort to improve society's ability to fulfill their needs and have well-being, it can influence the improvement of national defense. The research purpose is analyzing the actual conditions and factors affecting the implementation of economic empowerment in South Tangerang city. This research used qualitative descriptive method. Collected data through observation, interviews and focus group discussions. All data have been obtained processed with data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Results showed that the economic empowerment in South Tangerang City, conducted by the city government and stekholder (Office, Business Associations, Banks, Universities and Private Entrepreneurs) although not yet collaborate to achieve expected results

Industrial development and use of biodiesel in Indonesia is currently hampered by the cost of biodiesel for export opportunities. Manufacturers prefer to export biodiesel at a better price than selling in the country. The approach used in this research is qualitative. This study has produced a system dynamics models the behavior of the biodiesel industry in Indonesia. With this model, a formulated policies and strategies can be tested through simulation run that will show or predict system behavior biodiesel industry into the future. By formulating policies and strategies in various scenarios, each of which will give the results of system behavior biodiesel industry in the future, can be selected as optimal policy formulation strategy, in the sense of providing the most appropriate behavior with the desired behavior of the biodiesel industry.

During Jakarta flood from 2013 to 2015, emergency response optimized roles of military and civil. Civil-military coordination is a mechanism in disaster management in term of accelerating response and minimizing number of victim and damage as well. The aim of this study is to analyze and describe the system of coordination and civil-military cooperation in emergency response Jakarta flood from 2013 to 2015 and find optimal form of cooperation and coordination emergency response of civil-military in the Jakarta flood 2013. This qualitative research is a descriptive research with data collection techniques is literature review and in-depth interviews. The results showed that the civil-military coordination in the flood disaster can be run either although the difference between commando and grammar used in the civil-military provide constraints in emergency operations.
