Abstract

The purpose of the classroom action research is: 1) to know how far the Liturgical study method which uses enhanced materials may improve class VIII-A students’ academic achievement, especially regarding Baptism; 2) to improve students’ comprehension regarding the material given by the teacher in class; 3) to enhance teachers’ critical minds on finding alternative solutions to solve the problem found in the teaching and learning environment.The formulation of the problem in this classroom action research is how a classroommanagement and Liturgical study method can altogether improve the comprehension of the sacrament of baptism material for the VIII-A’sgrade students of yunior high school of Santo Antonius, Jakarta.The research methodthat is used in thisclassroom action isthe Kemmis’s and McTaggart’s model, that consisted of three cycles,consisted of four steps, which are: 1)Planning; 2) Excecution; 3) Observation; 4) Reflection. Each cycles isheld in two sessionsduring the learning activities.The result of the research shows that through an organized classroom action research and liturgical study method, teachers are able to improve the quality and students’ activities on their learning process, and also to increase students’ ability to understand the learning material given, especially the material about Baptism. On cycle 1, 4 students passed the criteria and 26 others didn’t, with the average score of 74.40. Cycle 2 resulted that 21 students passed and 9 didn’t, with the average score of 87.06. On cycle 3, 29 students passed and 1 didn’t, with the average score of 93.16. This result exceeded the minimum target scoreof competence indicator which has been declared by the school, which is 80 point.To conclude, through a good classroom management and the usage of Liturgical method study on the teaching and learning of Catholic study for class VIII-A in Santo Antonius Junior High School, Rawabunga, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, can be an alternative to be chosen and implemented by teachers of junior high school in order to improve students’ ability in understanding Catholic study materials, especially about Baptism.Keywords :Classroom Management, Liturgical Study Method, Sacrament of Baptism Material

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah, motivasi berprestasi dan kepuasan kerja dengan kinerja guru di Sekolah Hati Suci Jakarta.Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah kepemimpinan transformasional (X1), motivasi berprestasi (X2), kepuasan kerja (X3) dan kinerja guru (Y).Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru-guru Yayasan Hati Suci yang berstatus sebagai guru tetap yayasan (GTY) atau guru tidak tetap (GTT). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara proporsional sampling dimana semua guru di sekolah Yayasan Hati Suci menjadi sampel yaitu sebanya 68 guru yang terbagi menjadi 41 orang sebagai sampel penelitian dan 27 orang sebagai uji coba. Kepemimpinan Transformasional Kepala Sekolah dalam penelitian ini adalah gaya kepemimpinan yang berupaya mentransformasikan nilai-nilai yang dianut oleh bawahan untuk mendukung visi dan tujuan organisasi sehingga muncul iklim saling percaya diantara anggota organisasi serta membangkitkan atau memotivasi karyawan untuk dapat berkembang sehingga mampu mencapai hasil lebih dari yang mereka perkirakan sebelumnya (beyond expectation). Motivasi berprestasi guru adalah dorongan pada diri seseorang untuk melakukan aktivitas dengan semaksimal mungkin dan agar mencapai prestasi dengan predikat terpuji atau predikat unggul. Kepuasan kerja. Kepuasan kerja adalah sikap seseorang terhadap pekerjaannya yang diukur melalui aspek: pekerjaan, lingkungan sekolah, dan insentif yang diperoleh. Kinerja adalah kemampuan guru untuk melaksanakan tugasnya yang menghasilkan hasil yang memuaskan, guna tercapainya tujuan organisasi kelompok dalam suatu unit kerja. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk masing-masing variabel adalah angket/kuesioner dengan menggunakan skala likert dan terdiri dari 35 butir pernyataan. Uji Validitas menggunakan rumus korelasi Product Moment, sedangkan reliabilitas menggunakan test Alpha Cronbach. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji persyaratan analisis yaitu uji normalitas dengan rumus Kolmogorov Smirnov, Uji homogenitas dengan uji Chi Kuadrat, dan uji linearitas regresi. Sedangkan pengujian hipotesis mempergunakan uji korelasi sederhana, korelasi berganda, serta teknik regresi yang terdiri dari regresi linear dan ganda. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS 20.0 for windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi antara Kepemimpinan Transformasional Kepala Sekolah dengan Kinerja Guru sebesar 0.651 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.424. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru sekolah Hati Suci Jakarta. Koefisien korelasi antara motivasi berprestasi dengan kinerja guru sebesar 0,702 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.493. Hal ini berarti terdapat hubungan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan kinerja guru di Sekolah Hati Suci Jakarta. Koefisien korelasi antara kepuasan kerja dengan kinerja guru sebesar 0,560 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.313. Hal ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dengan kinerja guru Sekolah Hati Suci Jakarta. Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara semua variabel bersama-sama dengan koefisien korelasi ganda (R) sebesar 0,792 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.447.Kata Kunci : Kepemimpinan Transformasional, Motivasi berprestasi, Kepuasan kerja, Kinerja

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara Komunikasi Guru-Orang Tua dan Profesionalisme Guru dengan Motivasi Berprestasi Siswa Primary di Global Jaya International Schhol di Bintaro Tangerang. Variabel bebas yaitu Komunikasi Guru-Orang Tua (X1) dan Profesionalisme Guru (X2). Sedangkan variable terikatnya adalah Motivasi Berprestasi Siswa (Y). Sebagai sampel penelitian, penulis memilih 30 guru secara acak. Sisanya digunakan sebagai sampel untuk alat uji instrument. Pada perhitungan validitas dan reliabilitas instrument menggunakan tehnik korelasional dengan rumus Korelasi Product Moment dan uji reliabilitas dengan rumus Alpha Cronbach diperoleh instrument yang valid dan reliable variable X1 35 butir, variable X2 35 butir dan variable Y39 butir. Data berasal dari populasi yang berdistribusi normal, linier, dan homogen.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh koefisien korelasi ganda Komunikasi Guru-Orang Tua (X1) dan Profesionalisme Guru (X2) dengan Motivasi Berprestasi Siswa (Y) didapat sebesar 0,637 dengan koefisien diterminasi (R square) sebesar 0,406 Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan sedang antara Komunikasi guru-Orang Tua (X1) dengan Motivasi berprestasi Siswa di GJIS. 2) Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan sedang antara Profesionalisme Guru dengan Motivasi Berprestasi Siswa di GJIS, 3) Terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan sedang antara Komunikasi Guru-Orang tua (X1) dan Profesionalisme Guru (X2) secara bersama sama dengan Motivasi Berprestasi Siswa Primary di GJIS Bintaro Tangerang. Abstract

Problem of moral character happening now more numerous and complex than ever before. Government efforts to incorporate eharacter educationin schools by making the head of the Research and Development of Educationand the Maluku provincial government through the Department ofEducation, Youth and Sports Affairs to determine SD 47 Ambonas the only elementary schoolin thecity of Ambon to implement the National Character Education and Culture. This is what lies behind the author to examine the level of Character Education Management Effectiveness at the Elementary School 47 Ambon. This research aims to find out how Management Character Education, is clone what Implementation Strategy is used and determine the level ofeffectiveness of the Character Educationin Elementary School 47 Ambon. Study used a descriptive approach with qualitative methods, which are based on the conditions and the context of the problem being studied. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, with a total sample of 11 people consisting of the Head of School, Character Education Team Leader, Supervisor School, School Committee, Students Parents, and Students. Data collection techniques used were non participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation.While the data analysis done by: data reduction, Presentation of data (display data), With drawal Conclusions and Verification (conclusion drawing/verivication). The results showed that the Character Education Management Effectiveness at Elementary School 47 Ambonassessed Start Evolving (MB), which the participants have started to show signs of behavior that is expressed in the indicator and begin consistent, because in addition to the existing understanding and awareness, also received reinforcement immediate environment also the wider environment. Evaluation of the character education management programmed, implemented, monitored and evaluated for further action, showed a change or an increase inbehavior/characterof the school community from the time before the implementation of character education. Principals, educators and education and trying to get used to exemplify the increasingly well to modeled because they understand that the child will continue to do what it sees what it means and the teachers do not keep on doing what the teachers aid. Teachers conduct on going assessment, as teachers in the classroom or outside the classroom trough an ecdotal records when looking at the behavior with respect to the value which is developed. Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between management ofacademic supervision, principal’s interpersonalcommunication with the teacher’s performance atPSKD Senior High School Jakarta and Depok, with the management ofacademic supervision as independent variable (X1), principal’s interpersonalcommunication (X2) and dependent variabel teacher’s performance (Y).This study was conducted in PSKD Senior High School Jakarta and Depok from February to March2013. The research method is used for correlational research method.Data collection techniques use a questionnaire with Likert scale which measures 1-5. This research is represented by 60 of PSKD Senior High School teachers Jakarta and Depok as respondents. The techniques used are a simple correlation analysis, multiple correlation and multiple regression at alpha significance level at 0.05.This study concluded that Hypothesis 1 shows a positive and significant relationship between management ofacademic supervision and teacher’s performance with a correlation coeficient of ry1 = 0,417. Hypothesis 2 shows a positive and significant relationship between principal’s interpersonalcommunication and teacher’s performance with a correlation coeficient of ry2 = 0,371. Hypothesis 3 shows a positive and significant relationship between management ofacademic supervision, principal’s interpersonalcommunication simultaneously and teacher’s performance with a correlation coeficient of ry12 = 0,433.From the research results it can be concluded that the teacher’s performance at PSKD Senior High School Jakarta and Depok can be enchanced by improving the management ofacademic supervision and the principal’s interpersonal communication.Keywords : Management of Supervision, Interpersonal Communication and Performance.

Abstract

There is something wrong in education in Indonesia.Nowdays the quality of education in Indonesia has not shown an improvement.The reality on the ground shows that there are many principals who have not demonstrated optimalization performance. The condition of schools is very poor. The majority of the schools have a new functional needs, not minimum requirements. The principals must create the quality of the school to primary responsibility. For optimalization performance, the principal must fullfill themselves with the leadership and managerial skills.The thesis aims to reveal the relation of leadership and managerial skills with performance principal High School Pematangsiantar North Sumatera. The research of the analyzed descriptively using the method of survey and correlation techniques.The result showed that the value of the correlation coefficient of the leadership the principal and performance is equal to 0.702 while the coefficient of determination is it mean the relationship with leadership of the performance principal by 49 % and through every 1 regression equation Ŷ= - 5.8853 + 1.056 X1. It shows kindness the leadership will raise the performance of the principal of 1.056.The value of the correlation coefficient managerial skills of the principal performance is equal to 0.616 while the coefficient of determination is that the managerial skills with the performance principal by 38 % and through every 1 regression equation Ŷ= 15.580 + 0.892 X2. It shows kindness the managerial skills with raise the performance of the principal of 0.892.The correlation of leadership and managerial skill to the performance of the principal is equal to 0.777 meanwhile through the coefficient or determination is known that the leadership and managerial skills with the performance principal by 60.4% and the double regression equality of Ŷ = -26.106 + 0.8 X1 + 0.542. It shows kindness the leadership with raise the performance of the principal of 0.8 and managerial skill with raise the performance of the principal of 0.542.It means the relation of leadership and managerial skill with performance principals have a strong and significant relationship. It is essential for all high school principals having and implemented leadership and managerial skills in order to optimaliz the quality and the performance of principals.Keywords : Leadership, managerial skill, performance principals.
