Abstract

This qualitative case study aimed to develop the functional reading and writing skills of mild mentally retarded children through whole word approach and VAKT strategy. The subject in this study was selected through the procedures of subject determination in qualitative research proposed by Sarantakos (1993, in Poerwandari 2005), namely: 1) not directed to the large number of participants but in typical cases according to the specificity of the research problem, 2) not directed to representation in terms of numbers or random events, but to context matches. Based on the above explanation, the researcher then determined the general criteria of the subjects / participants of the study as follows: 1) Subjects were children aged between 6-8 years old who were in kindergarten (group B) or elementary school (first grade or second grade), 2) subjects were children with mild mental retardation who have difficulty in developing functional reading and writing skills. Methods of data collection in this study were conducted through observation, interviews, and informal assessments, as well as documentation of field notes during data mining. Data analysis was performed by comparing the initial condition of the subject before stimulation implemented with the final condition of the subject after the stimulation completed. The results of data analysis indicated that the whole-word approach and VAKT strategy can be applied to develop the early functional reading and writing skills in children with mild mental retardation

Abstract

Introducing sex education in early childhood in the modern era is not such a taboo instead of being forbidden from discussion. Given the widespread sexual abuse and child abuse, this phenomenon should be a concern for all circles. Not only do families and educators participate in addressing the issue but also the wider community has to provide supervision and take account of it. Introducing or giving  early childhood understanding about sex that refers to Islamic religious education which is widely discussed by Muslim intellectuals based on such religious sources as  theQuran,Hadith, Ijma and so fourth are part of dealing with the problem of child sexual abuse. On this stand, Sex education is not but such an information about the importance of knowing the name and function of body parts, the understanding of sex differences, the understanding of intimacy or sexual relationship as well as the understanding of the existing values ​​and norms in society related to gender identity and inculcating religious cometment will greatly help children pass through the next stage of age.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to test the effectiveness of using groupguidance service with learn to behave game to increase the ability of selfadjustment at school. This research was conducted by pre-test post-test one groupdesign. The subject of this research were eight students of 7th graders at MTsDarrul Ma’arif Payaman, with low score of the ability of self adjustment atschool. Data analysis technique used in this research was Wilcoxon’s signed ranktest. It was found that there was a significant difference between the ability of selfadjustment at school score before and after treatment. Based on the Wilcoxon testit was found that T count = 0, N = 8 with 0,05 significant level so T table = 4. Itmeans T count < T table (0<4). So hypothesis of this research was accepted. Itcan be concluded that group guidance service with learn to behave game was aneffective approach to help students to increase the ability of self adjustment atschool.

Abstract

          Abstract: Foreign language learning Including Arabic is much more achievable when embedded in early childhood.  Given language is habituation.  The scope of Arabic learning includes: linguistic  elements,  composed  of grammar  ( qawaidul lughoh ) ,vocabulary, pronunciation  and spelling ( aswat arabiyah ), language skills, is listening ( istima), speaking ( kalam ), reading ( qiroah ), and writing ( kitabah ) and cultural aspect contained  in oral and written text. In Arabic language learning is expected to encourage,  guide,  develop and nurture the ability of students and grow a positive attitude toward Arabic language both receptive and productive. Especially in learning Arabic for early childhood is the beginning of preparation for children to have knowledge, experience and skills to make children more ready and have a global insight. Considering Arabic is the language of worship, introduction of science, especially the Islamic treasures and has become the culture and civilization of Islam. And the civilization should not be forced.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of science playing on the development ofmathematical logic intelligence in early childhood. This research is a type of experimentalresearch using nonquivalent control group design. This research was conducted at TK IslamInsan Kamil Tuban with research subject of 40 children divided into control group andexperiment group. The research data was collected by observation and documentationtechnique. Data analysis using ANOVA test or F test. The results showed that the scienceplaying has an effect on the development of the mathematical logic intelligence of children.This is evidenced by the difference of mathematical logic result between experimental groupthat is equal to 70% and control group equal to 58,75%. Furthermore, it is recommended forteachers and institutions of early childhood to apply science play activities as an alternativeof learning activities to stimulate the mathematical logic intelligence of children.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of children science Group B RA RoudlotulMujtahidin Jrambe Village District Dlanggu Mojokerto through Sentra BahanAlam.Penelitian using quantitative research methods with the type of research isexperimental research. This research uses Pre-Experimental Designs research design usingOne-Group Pre-Test-Post-Test Designs.The value of improvement of the Science Ability of the 26 students who have done theapplication of learning Material Sentra Nature average score or value increased 13.50. TestStatistics above Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) is 0, Because the value of Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) issmaller than 0.005 then there is a significant effect of the development of childrens ScienceSkills before and after the application of learning Material Sentra Nature. Judging from theanalysis of statistical figures generated through Wilcoxon Test, the result is that theApplication of Learning Center of Natural Resources has an effect on increasing the abilityof children Science in RA Roudlotul Mujtahidin Jrambe. Abstract

Prinsip pembelajaran anak usia dini yaitu bermain sambil belajar dan belajar serayabermain. Mengingat pentingnya pembelajaran pada anak usia dini yang focusutamanya adalah untuk menumbuh kembangkan segala aspek perkembangan anak,terkadang para orang tua masih belum memahami secara baik tahapan-tahapan yangtepat untuk anak maka bisa dipastikan para orang tua akan memaksakan segalasesuatunya sesuai dengan kehendaknya. Hal tersebut mendorong para orang tua ambiljalan pintas yang dianggapnya baik terlebih demi kebaikan anak di masa depannyamaka tak heran para orang tua mengikutsertakan buah hatinya untuk mengikutikegiatan tambahan di luar kegiatan formal yang telah dijadikan rutinitas biasanya,kegiatan tambahan tersebut lebih popular dengan istilah belajar ekstra, yang didalamya lebih fokus dengan kegiatan membaca, menulis dan berhitung atau disingkat calistung. Studi ini mengangkat fenomena yang dilakukan para orang tuadalam mengikutsertakan anak-anak buah hati mereka pada kegiatan belajar ekstracalistung, dimana tindakan yang dilakukan orang tua tersebut merupakan suatufenomena tindakan yang memiliki motif sebab dan bertujuan tertentu. Penelitian inimenggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis. Subyek partisipan penelitian iniadalah anak dan orang tua dari 2 lembaga yang berbeda yaitu dari lembaga yang adadi Kabupaten Gresik Selatan tepatnya di Kecamatan Kedamean dan KecamatanMenganti, yang sengaja peneliti ambil untuk mengungkapkan dan memahami arti dibalik fenomena tindakan yang dilakukan orang tua tersebut. Instrumen dalampenelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri sebagai pengamat langsung yang sekaligussebagai pengumpul data. Fokus pada penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mendeskripsikanalasan para orang tua mengikutsertakan anak-anak mereka yang sedang duduk dikelompok TK tepatnya (usia 4 – 6 tahun) pada kegiatan belajar ekstra calistung, (2)mengetahui arti belajar ekstra calistung untuk anak usia TK (4 – 6 tahun) menurutversi orang tua, serta (3) maksud yang bisa dibahas atas fenomena para orang tuamengikutsertakan anak usia TK (4 – 6 tahun) pada kegiatan belajar ekstra calistung.

Abstract

The purpose in This Quasi Experimental Design design research to prove whetherkokoru media has an effect on the fine motor skills of group B children in TK MuslimatNurul Huda. The study population were children B group of TK Muslimat NurulHuda with sample of 20 children in group B1 and 20 children in group B2. Techniqueof collecting data using observation and documentation methods. Test data analysisusing Mann Whitney U test with the formula Ucount<Utable (α=0,05). From the dataprocessing then obtained Ucount =22 dan Utable 114, it indicated that Ho is rejectedand Ha accepted. Based on the above test it can be concluded that kokoru media havean effect on the fine motor skills of group B children in TK Muslimat Nurul Huda.

Abstract

Autism is a lifelong disability that affects a person in socialcommunication, social interaction, dealing with his environment and theimagination of a child who bears autism is like aliving in his own world. Lack ofa childs ability to engage in understanding that includes, understands language,plays, and communicates with others. A diagnosis that a child has autism is byreferring to ICD-10 (International Clasification of Disease) or using formulationin DSM-IV (Diagnostic Statistical Manual). The types of therapy that can begiven to children with autism are behavioral therapy, occupational therapy,speech therapy, socialization with the aim to eliminate unnatural behavior,biomedical therapy (drugs, vitamins, minerals, food supplements), socializationto regular schools and School of Children with Special Needs. The problem ofautistic students that will be faced during school age is CommunicationAbilities, Social Skills, Behavior Problems, Adaptive Living Skills problem inunderstanding the world and dificult behavior and emotional problems
