Abstract

Feed broiler is one important factor that is very supportive of other factors when broiler maintenance. One way to reduce the use of maize is to use alternative raw materials of wheat. Wheat can be obtained and the price is cheaper than corn but contains a high Non Starch Polysaccharide, while the poultry digestive tool is not able to digest such crude fiber because it has no crude fiber-breaking enzymes so it needs enzyme addition to the efficient use of nutrient feed. The research method used is the experimental method using Completely Randomized Design consisting of 4 treatments 5 replications. The treatment is as follows P0 (without wheat and xylanase); P1 (substitution of maize with 20% wheat); P2 (maize substitution with 40% wheat) and P3 (substitution of maize with 60% wheat). The observed variables are metabolic energy of pseudo-feed and metabolically correlated false energy n. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) if there are differences among the treatments followed by Duncan's Test. The results showed that the use of wheat with a xylanase enzyme supplementation as a substitute corn provides highly significant effect (P<0.01) on the apparent metabolize energy of feed and apparent metabolize energy corrected N. The addition of xylanase enzymes in feed with the substitution of wheat by 20 percent produce the best feed metabolizable energy among other treatments.  Keywords : Broiler, Wheat, Enzymes, Energy, Feed

Abstract

The aim of this research is to get information of heavy metal content of Pb in goat milk fed with vegetables waste silage which is safe to be consumed by society. The experiments were carried out by using 16 pregnant 2 - 2,5 years old goat who were treated until the mother was lactated. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments applied were as follows: T0 = 100% forage (mixture of grass and legume), T1 = 80% forage + 20% vegetables waste silage, T2 = 60% forage + 40% silage vegetables waste, and T3 = 40% forage + 60% waste silage vegetables. The experiment was conducted for 5 months. The research results show that the feed silage vegetables waste very real produce milk production daily higher than the control of grass. The provision of silage vegetables waste very real produce metal Pb levels higher than control and be above threshold SNI 3141.1: 2011. So that it can be concluded that the silage vegetables waste not advisable done by farmers due to metal Pb in goat milk is still not safe to be consumed. Keywords : Silage, Vegetables Waste, Pb, Goat Milk.

PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN LEVEL MOLASES TERHADAP KUALITAS  FISIK DAN ORGANOLEPTIK PELLET PAKAN KAMBING PERIODE PENGGEMUKAN The Effect of Molases Level Addition on Physical and Organoleptic Quality of Goat Feed Pellets on Fattening Period Risti Sstyaning Ismi, Retno Iswarin Pujaningsih, dan Sri Sumarsih Faculty of Animal and Agriculture Science, Diponegoro UniversityProf. H. Soedarto, S.H., Tembalang, Semarang, Indonesiae-mail : ristisatya357@gmail.com  ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to study the effect of molasses level increase on physical quality and organoleptic of fattening period goat feed in pellet form. Material used in the research is rice bran, cassava peel, elephant grass, tofu waste product, molasses and premix. Completely randomized design was used in a study with 4 replications and 4 treatments, T0 = pellet ration + 0% molases, T1 = pellet ration + 3% molases, T2 = pellet ration + 5% molases, and T3 = pellet ration + 7% molases. Parameters observed were hardness, durability, color, texture and pellet scent. The results showed that the addition of molasses level had significant effect (P<0,05) on the improvement of physical quality of pellet and the decreasement of pellet organoleptic quality. Pellet with the addition of molasses as much as 3% has the best physical and organoleptic quality. Research conclusions recommended that the addition of molasses up to level 3% can provide good effect for the physical quality and organoleptic pellet. Keywords : Molasses Level, Pellet, Physical Quality, Organoleptic Quality.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to know the viability of Lactic Acid Bacteria isolates on ration and combination of ration  with molasses. This study used a mixture of lactic acid bacteria isolates from the duck intestine (B4, B7, B8). The third bacterial isolates were inoculated on two different treatment media,  on rantion media (R1), and combination of rantion + molasses (R2). The study was arranged by randomized block design (RAK) 6x2 factorial treatment pattern. Factor A is the incubation time of 0 hours, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours and 10 hours. Factor B is two types of growing media of lactic acid bacteria, is ransum media, and  combination of ransum + molasses. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. This research uses pour plate method with the calculation of the colony using colony counter. Data  analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the addition of 1.6% molasses (R2) maintains the number of LAB population at 4th hour with the cell number 7,36 x 105 CFU / g. While on the ration medium (R1) can maintain the amount of LAB at 6th hour  with the cell number of 6,20 x 105 CFU / g. LAB  population viability on feed medium with addition of molases 1.6% (R2) has increased on storage time at 4th hour with cell number 7,36 x 105 CFU / g, while on feed medium (R1) decreased cell count 6,08 x 105 CFU / g. Keywords: Viability, Lactic Acid Bacteria, Ransum, Molase.
