Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. Abstract

This research aimed to determine the consumer attitude towards a decision to buy local and imported oranges, the purchase pattern of consumer towards local and imported oranges, and the factors that influence the purchased amount of oranges in Bandar Lampung. The research was conducted on purpose intraditional and modern markets in Bandar Lampung, i.e. Tugu Market, Koga Market, Way Halim Market, Pasir Gintung Market, SMEP Market, Tamin Market, Rajabasa Market, Panjang Market, Cimeng Market, Kangkung Market, Chandra Tanjung Karang supermarket, Robinson supermarket, Gelael, and Istana Buah.The total samples were 100 respondents. The samples were selected by accidental sampling method. The reasearch data was collected in February to March 2013 by the survey method. The data was analyzed by Multiatribut Fishbein analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research showedthat the consumer preffered the attributes of imported oranges compared to local oranges. The types of oranges purchased by consumers were Medan oranges as local oranges and Mandarin Ponkam as imported oranges. The average frequency of oranges buying was three times per month, and the number of purchase amount was four kilograms per month. The factors that influenced the purchase of oranges were the household income and family size.Key words: consumer attitude, Multiatribut Fishbein analysis, oranges, purchase pattern

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze factors affecting purchasing decision process and attitudes on evaluation of various brands of instant coffee powder.  The research samples were 99 students, selected from four faculties of the University of Lampung, who were met at the break time and agreed to be interviewed using questionnaires.  Data were analyzed using principal component analysis and Fishbeinmulti-atribute attitude analysis.  The results of this research showed that Torabika is the instant coffee powder brand was the most widely purchased, followed by Luwak White Koffie, Nescafe, Good Day, Kapal Api, ABC, and Indocafe. The results of factor analysis showed that the fourteen expected variables influenced the purchasing decision of instant coffee powder could be reduced into four main components.  The first principal component (internal factors) consists of aroma, flavor, consistency, and creamer.  The second principal components (external factors) consist of brand, advertising, pricing, and bonuses.  The third principal component (benefit factors) consists of reducing drowsiness and suitability of drinking with other food variables.  The fourth principal component (factors of excellence) consists of a non-pulpy, easily obtained.  Based on the evaluation of the consumer attitude variables, it showed that although the consumption of ABC brand was the least but it got the highest attitude value compared to other brands. If the attitudes of the students were sorted, ratings of the highest student attitudes were ABC, Nescafe, followed by Luwak White Koffie, Torabika, and Good Day.Key words: factor analysis, principal component analysis, analysis of Fishbein attitude, instant coffee

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the competitiveness of corn and the effect of input-output price changes on the competitiveness of corn farming in Sekampung Udik District, East Lampung Regency. This research was held in Sidorejo Village, Sekampung Udik District, East Lampung Regency. The respondents of this research were 6 farmers implementing intensive farming management, taken using purposive sampling. The competitiveness was analyzed using PAM (Policy Analysis Matrix). The results showed that corn farming in Sekampung Udik District, East Lampung Regency was competitive (PCR = 0.3499 and DRC = 0.2944). The decreasing of corn price by 26%, the increasing of fertilizer price (urea = 33.33%, SP-36 = 29.03%, Phonska = 31.43%, and KCl = 25%), the increasing of seed price and landrate by 4.28%, caused a decrease in the competitiveness of corn farming. The competitiveness of corn farming in Sekampung Udik District, East Lampung Regency was sensitive to the decreasing of corn price by 26%.Key words: competitiveness, corn, PAM, sensitivity

Abstract

Land certification of SME’s (small and micro enterprises) contributes to household income of feed lot farmers in Rajabasa Lama 1 Village Labuhan Ratu District of East Lampung Regency. The purposes of this study were to determinethe utilization of SME’s land certification in the sustainability of feedlot farming, and incomes of feedlot farmerland certification users and nonusers. Data used are primary and secondary data. This study uses analysis of household income and independent sample t test for different test of household income. The results showed that the use of land certification in sustainability of SME’s in the cattle is as capital to buy seeds. The phases of feedlot farming performance includes seed selection,manufacture of barn, feeding, disease and health care, crop and cattle manure from cow dung. The average income of farmers whohave certified land of SME’s with average of 7 cows and income of farmers whohave certified land of SME’s with average of 7 cows are Rp15,732,847.00 and Rp 21,249,680.00. These results indicates a significant difference in cost(P <0.05). It can be concluded that there is a difference in income generated in the average number of cows between farmers using certified land and those who don’t.Key words: beef cattle, cattle, household income, land certification SME’s, rancher

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to determine value addedand analyze the feasibility of cassava solid waste (“onggok”) processing business.This research was conducted in Pekalongan District,East Lampung Regency in which in two businesses of medium-scale processor and small-scale processor were chosen purposely based on the criteria of MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises).The primary data was analyzed by calculating the value-added, NPV, IRR, gross B/C ratio, net B/C ratio, and payback period.  In addition, the sensitivity analysis was done based on the possibility of cost increase, price reduction, and production decrease.The results showed that the small-scale processorgave larger value-addedthan the medium-scale. Based on market, social, and environmental as well as financial aspects, cassava solid waste processors were profitable and feasible to be developed. These businesses were sensitive to the increase in production cost and the decrease in production.Key words : added value, cassava solid waste, feasibility of bussiness

Abstract

The research goals were to determine the factors that influence the decision of rice farmers in marketing their products, calculate the income of rice farmers in Sumberagung Village and Wargomulyo Village. This research was conductedin Sumberagung Village of Ambarawa Sub-districtand Wargomulyo Village of Pardasuka Sub-district of Pringsewu Regency. Factors that influence the decision of rice farmers in marketing their products were calculated by using ordinal logistic method, while the income was analyzed using R/C.  The results showed that Factors that influence the decision of farmers in marketing their products were the price level, the amount of  production, the number off amily members, the amount of family consumption, the farmer’s age, and rice cultivating experience, rice farming in Sumberagung Village was more profitable than that in Wargomulyo Village.  The average income of rice farming in Sumberagung Village was around Rp12,700,372.11/ha and R/C of 1.66 while the average income on total cost of rice farming in Wargomulyo Village was around Rp7,747,238.18/ha and R/C of 1.54.Key words: decision, marketing, income

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of procurement of raw materials and value-added of banana bolen in Bandar Lampung. The study was conducted in Kedaton Jaga Baya II  District of Bandar Lampung in October-December 2011. The method used is the survey method. The number of respondents was 2 banana bolen home industries. Analysis methods used were Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Hayami value-added model. The averages of raw bananas used was 3,000 comb/month by CV Mayang Sari and 520 comb/month by Harum Sari. Value-added of banana bolen of CV Mayang Sari was Rp3.937,60 per one banana bolen box and value-added of banana Bolen Harum Sari was Rp23.269,02 per one banana bolenbox.Key words: industry, process, banana bolen, procurement of raw materials, Hayami model
