Abstract

This research aims to analyze the financial feasibility and the risk of oyster mushroom cultivation which is conducted in Lampung Province, especially in Metro and Bandar Lampung City.  The locations of the research are chosen purposively by considerating that both places were the largest harvesting areas and the highest oyster mushroom production.  The data is collected in month of May 2017, in which respondents are taken by census method with the amount of seven cultivators. They are divided into three categories based on their techniques they use, i.e., the cultivators producing the  planting media to be cultivated and partly to be sold, the cultivators producing the planting media to be cultivated only, and the cultivators purchasing the planting media to be cultivated.  Furthermore, the financial and risk analyses are analyzed by the quantitative analysis.  The result showed that the oyster mushroom cultivation on the three categories were profitable and feasible to be developed based on the value of investment criterias (Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period (PP), Gross Benefit Cost Ratio (Gross B/C Ratio) and Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C Ratio)).  The risk analysis showed that CV (Coefficient of Variation) value was ≤ 0,5 and value of lower limit (L)was  ≥ 0; hence the cultivators were able to avoid the risk.Key words : cultivator, feasibility, financial, oyster mushroom, risk

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that affect production of vegetable (chili, mustard and cabbage)farming and the technical efficiency. The research was conducted in North Dempo and South Pagar Alam Subdistrict of Pagar Alam. Farmer respondents were chosen by using simple random sampling. Data were collected in May–Juny 2018 and analyzed using Cobb-Douglas production functionnamely frontier production function. The results showed that factors affecting the production of chili farming are area lands, seeds and nitrogen fertilizer. Factors affecting the production of mustard farming are landsize, seeds and potassium fertilizer, and pesticide. Factors affecting the production of cabbage farming are area landslandsizeand manure. Vegetable farming (chili, mustard and cabbage) is on an increasing return to scale (Ep>1) or in irrational area so that it does not meet the requirement for economic efficiency. Chili and mustard farming are technically efficient with an efficiency level greater than 70,00%. The level of technical efficiency of chili farming is 86,99% and mustard farming is 80,08%. Cabbage farming is not technically efficient because the efficiency level is below 70,00%, that is 68,72%.Key words: efficiency, farming, vegetable

There were 30 RTM and 45 RTM drawn as research samples from 1.290 RTM in Kangkung village and 1981 RTM in Merak Batin Village. The research data was analyzed by analysismethod of qualitative (descriptive) and quantitative. The research result showed that the effectiveness of raskin in Kangkung Village earned an average of 83.3%, based on Standard Measures of EffectivenessBased Research Affairs References, categorized as very effective; whereas, in Merak Batin Village earned an average of 66.2%, categorized as quite effective. The marketing efficiency in Kangkung village was 0.04 andin Merak Batin Village was 0.03; this indicated that the distribution of raskin in Lampung Province was efficient because the calculation of the efficiency of Raskin marketing was below one. Constraints in theimplementation of the program were the low raskin honesty, communication and lack of human resources. Keywords: raskin program, effectiveness and efficiency of raskin distributuion, RTM
