Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: the financial feasibility and the sensitivity of rice transplanter business unit. The location is purposively selected in Seputih Raman Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency. This research uses a census method with 3 respondents owners of rice transplanters of two differences in machinery investment, i.e, the year of 2014 and 2015.. Data are analyzed quantitatively using measurement criteria for financial and sensitivity analysis. The results showed that the rice transplanter business unit is financially viable. The machine of  rice planting  business unit (rice transplanter) is still feasible despite the drop harvest area of 6.83%, the assumption of a decrease in rental rate machine of 5%, and the increase in operating costs of 3.85%.Key words: financial, rice transplanter, sensitivity

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the rate of household food availability, the rate of farmers’ participation, factors related to farmers’ participation rate, and the impact of the participation on the food availability. The research is a survey conducted in Ambarawa Subdistrict, Pringsewu District, as Ambarawa is an area that has many active food barns. Thirty food barn institutions were chosen randomly, and from each barn  two farmers were chosen randomly as respondents.  Research data is collected in September – November 2016 and analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the rate of household food availability was 3,392.97 kkal/cap/day or equivalent to 2,135.58 kg of dried unhulled rice annually. The rate of farmers’ participation was included in a medium category. Age, membership time in barns, rice production, income, membership in farmer groups were not significantly related to farmers’ participation rate. Farmers’ participation did not have significant impact on food availability of farmer households. Key words: barns, farmer household, food availability, participation

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the P-LDPM and the difference between the performance of program recipient farmer groups and non-recipient. The research is a survey conducted in Bekri District, Lampung Tengah Region, as Bekri is an area  chosen by government as P-LDPM receiver. Respondents are organizers of farmer groups chosen purposively by consideration that the organizers are the people who receive the program directly. The research data are collected in January – February 2018 and analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis method.  The results showed that implementation of the P-LDPM was started in 2013, which known by the donation from government amounted Rp150,000,000.00.  The rate of performance of  farmer groups recipients of the P-LDPM program was as high categorized. Meanwhile, the rate of performance of farmer groups that do not receive the program was in a medium category.  P-LDPM had significant impacts on the rate of performance of farmer groups.  Key words: farmer groups combined,  performance,  P-LDPM

Abstract

This research aimed  (1) to analyze optimal income obtained by farmers with optimal use of labor and land both in mineral and in peat land, and (2) to identify  palm oil marketing channel in Tulang Bawang District. The research was conducted by survey method in Penawar Tama and Gedung Aji Baru Subdistricts of Tulang Bawang District Lampung Province in July 2017. The sampling was done by census to 17 self-help palm oil farmers. Data were analyzed by using linear programming model, land productivity, farm income, and descriptive analysis of  marketing channel. The results showed the optimal income that could be achieved in Scenario 1 was Rp32,805,860.00 with optimal labor usage of 120.28 HOK, whereas in Scenario 2 the optimal income that could be achieved was Rp46,976,300.00 with optimal labor usage for 125.2 HOK. There were 2 marketing channels of  palm oil established in Kabupaten Tulang Bawang.  Channel 1 with 76.47 percent of farmers started from the farmers, distributed to the wholesalers and then to palm oil mill. Channel 2 with 23.3 percent of farmers started from the farmers, distributed to the middlemen, to wholesalers and to palm oil mill. Key words: land optimalization, palm oil, marketing channel

Abstract

This study aims to investigate attributes of tempeh desired by consumer households, consumers satisfaction levels on tempeh, the pattern of tempeh demand, and factors affecting tempeh demand in Bandar Lampung City. This study is conducted in Bandar Lampung City. Data is collected in December 2016 to February 2017. The population in this study is household in Bandar Lampung City. The samples employed in this study are 75 households chosen by multistage random sampling method. The results showed that tempeh attributes  wanted by consumer households were cheap price, good taste, unique looks, good packaging, hygienic tempeh, quality standard, containing good nutrients, and accesibility location to purchase tempeh. Consumer households in Bandar Lampung City were satisfied by tempeh products. Tempeh demand patterns by consumer households in Bandar Lampung City were as follows: the average of tempeh purchases by household was 1,600 grams per week and the average of purchase frequency was 1.72 times per week. The total of tempeh consumption was 66.67 percent processed by frying, mostly be purchased at the market. Affecting factors on tempeh demand were price of tempeh, vegetable oil, wheat flour, and eggs.Key words: demand, consumer satisfaction, tempeh

Abstract

This research is to find out determining production cost and selling cost of corn and the affect use of various kinds of seed corn in the determining production cost.  The research was conducted in July - August and used a survey method in Sidorejo Village, Sekampung Udik Subdistrict, East Lampung Regency. The samples of this research are 52 corn farmers selected randomly.  Analysis of data is conducted using the determining production cost, determining selling cost, and one way Anova.  Analysis of the cost of goods production used the margin profit of 15 percent. The results showed determining that production cost is Rp1,383.00/kg for Bisi-18, Rp1,379.28/kg for NK-33, Rp1,448.77/kg for Pioneer-27, and Rp1,359.52/kg for DK-95.  Determining selling cost with profit margin 15% for Bisi-18 is Rp1,590.45/kg, Rp1,586.18/kg for NK-33, Rp1,666.09/kg for Pioneer-27, and Rp1,560.00/kg for DK-95. The average price received by the farmers as much as Rp1,741.04/kg, It means that farmers have benefit from technicial efficiency of corn farming. Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of Woman Farmer Group (KWT) members and factors related to the role of KWT in actualizing Sungai Langka as an Agrotourism Village.  The research location was chosen purposively in Sungai Langka Village of Gedong Tataan Sub-district of Pesawaran Regency.  Respondents were 61 respondents using Proportional Random Sampling.  This research was conducted from January to February 2018.  Data analysis method used descriptive method with quantitative approach.  To answer the first purpose used descriptive analysis, and the second goal by using a quantitative approach of Rank Spearman analysis method.  The results indicated that the role level of KWT members in mini jackfruit planting and handicraft production is included in a low classification, the roles of KWT members in the manufacture of vegetable quoting galleries, fruit pickling and in Small and Medium Enterprises processing of agricultural products are included in medium classification, KWT in actualizing as Sungai Langka Agrotourism Village is generally included in the middle classification. Factors associated with the role of KWT members in actualizing the Agrotourism Village Sungai Langka are the motivation, cosmopolite character, and the level of knowledge.  Whereas, the age and level of education were not significantly related to the role of KWT members in actualizing Sungai Langka Village as the Agrotourism Village. Key words: agrotourism village, KWT members, role

Abstract

This research aims to analyze farming income and sustainability of farming practices of coffee certification farmers and coffee non-certification farmers in Tanggamus Regency.  This research used survey method.  The numbers of samples in this research were 44 respondents of certification farmers and 24 respondents of non-certification farmers.  The data was collected from August 2017 to November 2017.  The data was analyzed by quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis.  The results showed that farming income of certification farmers were higher than non-certification farmers.  Socially and environmental sustainable farming practices of certification farmers were more sustainable than non-certification farmers.  Sustainability of economy, social and environmental aspects of certification farmers were more sustainable than non-certification farmers.  Total of farming income of certification farmers and non-certification farmers were Rp16,330,309 per hectare and Rp10,637,482 per hectare.  About 93.20% of certification farmers’s farming were sustainable, while about 91.70% of non-certification farmers’s farming were quite sustainable. Key words: certification, coffee, farming, sustainability
