Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the supply of production facilities, financial feasibility, and marketing system. This research is a case study at CV Mulawarman Farm in Gadingrejo Subdistrict of Pringsewu Regency.  The data was collected in April 2017 and analyzed by qualitative descriptive and finance feasibilities analysis.  The result showed that the supply of production facilities at CV Mulawarman Farm did not fully met the expectation because the supply of nipple drinker still occurred delayed for the far distance.  The development business at layer chickens farming of CV Mulawarman Farm was profitable enough up to population scaled of 75,000 heads (25 percent larger than the previous population).  The egg marketing system of CV Mulawarman Farm distributed to the regular customers that located spreadly in Bandar Lampung, Pringsewu, Tanggamus, and Pesawaran in which the highest percentage of egg marketing distribution was in Bandar Lampung.Key words: agribusiness system, financial feasibility, laying chicken

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the internal and external environment, arrange development strategies, and determine priority strategies of Microfinance Institutions Farmer Groups Sari Makmur Cooperative. This research isperforms a case study method. Respondents  were 13 people consist of organizers and members of the cooperative, expert, and  regulator.  Data analysis method used in this research was qualitative analysis method. The results showed that the main internal strengths of the cooperative were its legal status and registered status at the financial services authority.  The main weakness was the lack of awareness of members in the cooperative. Externally, cooperative faced major opportunity in the form of the need for easy and fast loan services and the main threat of increasing community living costs. The priority strategies that could be used in the development and sustainability of the cooperative microfinance were using accounting software for financial data processing to improve cooperative’s financial management, improving the quality of cooperative’s organizer and managers by providing internal training and engaging in external training conducted by the government or other institutions, and improving the excellent service to meet the needs of cooperative’s members.Key words: cooperative, microfinance, strategies

Abstract

This study analyses the roles of AEWs, the level of implementation of the five-farming-system of paddy, the level of paddy productivity, the relationship between the roles of AEWs and the level of the implementation five, and the relationship between the implementation and paddy productivity.  The research was conducted in the West Metro District of Metro City.  The samples are 72 farmers of randomly selected respondents.  Methods of data analysis using quantitative descriptive analysis, table analysis, and Rank Spearman correlation.  The results indicated that AEWs have done their roles well, especially as educators who teach and educate farmers about the implementation of the five-farming-system of paddy.  The five-farming-system of paddy has been applied well.  Most farmers realize the importance of implementing the five-farming-system of paddy in accordance with the advice of AEWs to improve productivity.  The average productivity of paddy is 6.46 ton/ha or in the medium class.  The higher the role of AEWs, the higher the level of application of the five-farming-system of paddy.  The higher the implementation of the five-farming-system of paddy, the higher the level of paddy productivity.Key words: AEWs, five-farming-system, productivity, role

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the pattern of food consumption, the pattern of processed local food consumption, and factors that affected the pattern of household food consumption in Pringsewu district.  This research was conducted by survey method.  Location of this research was determined purposively in Margosari Village North Pagelaran subdistrict as program implementers and Mulyorejo Village Banyumas subdistrict are not program implementers.  The amount of research samples in this research was as many as 74 households who were selected by simple random sampling.  The data was collected in month of Apri-May 2017. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistic analysis, and verification analysis by demand consumption function model.  The result showed that the amount of energy consumption of Margosari village was 5,474.17 kcal/household/day and household energy consumption of Mulyorejo village was 4,745.22 kcal/household/day with their Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) score 78.24 and 68.96.  Fried bananas was locally processed food sources of energy consumed and have the largest consumption frequency.  Cassava was a local food that has the most processed product.  Most of household got the processed local food by making them self.  The pattern of household food consumption in Pringsewu district was influenced by the household income and number of household’s member.Key words: consumtion pattern, Desirable Dietary Pattern (DDP) score, local food

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze financial feasibility and development prospect of nutmeg farming in Lampung Province.  This research was conducted in Gisting Subdistrict of Tanggamus Regency in which data was collected in September 2017 until October 2017 by survey method.  This research used primary and secondary data.  Primary data was used to answer financial feasibility analyze purpose and obtained by interview technique using questionnaires.  Secondary data in the past seven to night years was used to answer the purpose of prospect development of nutmeg farming.  The samples size of this research was 30 nutmeg farmers using simple random sampling.  The data was analyzed by financial feasibility and time series linier with ARIMA model.  The results of the study showed that the nutmeg farming was feasible, and development prospect of nutmeg farming based on production and nutmeg seeds export had a good potential for the future. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the contribution of catfish cultivation enlargement to household income and the welfare of catfish cultivators household.  The research data was collected in Sub-District of Natar of South Lampung regency in December 2017 - January 2018. Respondents in this research were 30 cultivators of catfish enlargement, chosen on purpose for they have been actively running their business and 4 expert people in catfish cultivation.  Primary data was obtained by interviewing the respondents, while secondary data was obtained from several related institutions. Collected household income was included cultivation income of catfish, off-farm income, and non-farm income.  The level of household welfare was analyzed by three criterias namely Sajogyo, Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) and Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN).  The  result showed that the average income of catfish cultivators business contributed 44,27 percent of the total household income of Rp52.340.376,00 per year. The household welfare level based on Sajogyo showed that 20 percent of households were in the almost-poor category, 50 percent in moderate, and 30 percent in decent living class. Based on BPS and BKKBN category showed that 20 percent of households were in the less prosperous and 80 percent were prosperous.Key words: catfish, income, welfare

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess implementation of Upsus Pajale Program, participation of farmer group members, and analyse factors related to the participation of farmers group members in the Upsus Pajale Program. This is a survey which is purposively undertaken in West Metro Sub district, involving 52 farmer households. The study was carried out from September to October 2017. Data are analyzed using qualitative-descriptive analysis and Rank Spearman correlation test. The results show that factors related to participation of farmer group members were farmers frequency in attending agricultural extension meeting and level of motivation. However, farmer’s age, formal education level, and land ownership have no relation with participation. Overall, participation of farmer group members in Upsus Pajale Program in West Metro Sub district is quite active.Key words: participation of famer group members, Upsus Pajale
