Abstract

Abstract Diarrhea is an endemic disease in Indonesia which has the potential to become an Extraordinary Event (KLB) which is often accompanied by death. Handling diarrhea in addition to using pharmacotherapy techniques there are also complementary therapies that can be used, namely honey therapy. Benefits of honey to overcome diarrhea due to its antibacterial effect and its digestible nutritional content. Honey also helps in replacing body fluids lost due to diarrhea. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of honey on acute diarrhea in children under 5 years of age. The research method used was quasi experimental with pretest and posttest non equivalent control group design. The hypothesis of this study is that there are honeycomb influences on bowel frequency and fecal characteristics in children under 5 years of age with acute diarrhea. The results of this study showed a significant difference in frequency of bowel movements and stool consistency before and after giving honey (p value = 0.001) so It can be concluded that honey affects the frequency of bowel movements and stool consistency in children under five with acute diarrhea Keywords: acute diarrhea, children under 5 years, honey

Abstract

Changes in the pattern of diseases from infectious diseases to non-communicable diseases (PTM) are a major factor in the problem of morbidity and mortality. According to WHO (2013), 80% of DM patients come from developing countries, one of them is Indonesia. Based on the results of Riskesdas (2013) data, 5.7% in Indonesia had DM from the age of 15 years, the prevalence of DM in East Jakarta was 2.4%. Problems can arise when diabetes mellitus is not treated such as neuropathy and retinopathy. The method used is the case study method. This case study was carried out on 2 DM patients who experienced ineffectiveness of peripheral tissue perfusion, with the aim of implementing family nursing care Mrs. S and Mrs. M who had diabetes mellitus with ineffectiveness of peripheral tissue perfusion in Rw 03 Rt 02 and Rw 04 Rt 06 Pondok Kopi I Jakarta District East. This case study is carried out comprehensively through interviews with family baseline data, family structure, family functions, family expectations of family nursing care, and health care functions. Observation phase and physical examination of the environment, family stress and coping. This case study was conducted 6 times for 6 days in setting DM diit pattern and foot exercises 6 times in patients I and 8 times in patients II. As a result, in case I there was a decrease in GDS of 75 mg / dl from 250 mg / dl and case II there was a decrease in GDS of 156 mg / dl from 346 mg / dl, indicating an effect of decreased glucose levels and increased sensitivity of the feet in both cases. Abstract

ABSTRACT Bullying is an aggressive action that continuous with the purpose to threatening and scaring other weak people. Awarding parental reinforcement can be expected to reduce bullying behavior. The purpose of this research is to determine the correlation between parental reinforcement with bullying behavior in junior high school students of Perguruan Ksatrya Jakarta. This research use descriptive crossectional design as a method and accidental sampling technique. As many as 190 samples in this research. This research analyzed with frequency distribution and chi square test. The results showed as many as 83 students (63,4%) who not behave bullying with positive reinforcement from their parents, and 48 students (36,6%) who behave bullying with positive reinforcement from their parents. In statistic test with confidence interval 95% and Alpha 0,05, obtained p value 0,034. It can be inferred that there is significant correlation between parental reinforcement with bullying behavior in junior high school students of PerguruanKsatrya Jakarta. The implication from this research is parents have to give positive reinforcement to adult to reduce bullying behavior

Abstract

46 Laparotomy is a surgical procedure in the abdominal area to overcome health problems. The risk of infection can occur due to inadequate postoperative wound care. This study used a descriptive approach to determine the description of the implementation of wound care for postoperative laparotomy patients in Sumedang District. The study sample was 60 respondents, taken by random sampling. Measuring the implementation of wound care was used using the SOP of the Ministry of Health's Republic of Indonesia Health Care Implementation Instrument using a non-participatory observation method. The results showed that the stage of the study carried out by nurses was 44% adequate, 35% of the data analysis stage was adequate, 48% of adequate nursing planning, 32% of adequate implementation, and 80% of the evaluation and documentation stages were adequate.. This study recommends that nurses do wound care according to the SOP and the Hospital provides adequate facilities to carry out nursing actions.

Abstract

Background: People with diabetes mellitus increase every year, diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by hyperglycemia, which is high blood sugar levels. People with diabetes mellitus usually get the stress throughout their lives. Some prevention can be usefull on patients to prevent complications, progressive muscle relaxation can increase insulin absorption and reduce stress.Objective: to examine the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation in reducing fasting blood sugar levels. Method: This article is part of a previous study, with tittle differences in the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation and physical exercise in reducing blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus type 2. Progressive muscle relaxation is carried out for 6 consecutive days, two sessions per day, with duration 30 minutes per session. Results: on average the respondents were 50.37 years old, and the results showed that p = 0,000 (p <0.05), ie there was a decrease in fasting blood sugar levels in the intervention group from 171.93 mg / dL (pre) to 121, 73 mg / dL (post).Conclusion: progressive muscle relaxation with minumum duration 30 minutes is effective in reducing fasting blood sugar levels in elderly with diabetes mellitus type 2.
