Abstract

The number of children with special needs in Indonesia reaches 1.6 million children. Around 115 thousand children with special needs attend school in special schools, while children with special needs who attends regular schools implementing inclusive schools number around 299 thousand. From the results of interviews with Mojosongo Surakarta Special School (SLB) teachers, it was found that there had never been a measurement of nutritional status in children with special needs in this school. The purpose is to identify the relationship between family environment factors, parental knowledge, feeding patterns and digestive disorders with nutritional status in children with special needs The subject in this study were all parents and students at the SLB Panca Bakti Mulia Mojosongo Surakarta as many as 73 people with is total sampling. Analized statistical test using chi square test, it can be obtained p: 0,003 for the relationship family environment with nutritional status, p:0,000 for the relationship between knowledge level of the parents with nutritional status, p: 0,001, for the relationship of feeding patterns with nutritional status, and p: 0,000 for the relationship between digestive disorders nutritional status. There is a significant relationship between family environment factors,parental knowledge, feeding pattern and digestive disorder with nutritional status in children with special needs.

Abstract

Hypertension is an one of type degenerative disease which prevalence is increasing with the times. The success of managing hypertension is influenced by the patient's adherence to taking medication and maintaining a dietary habit. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of family support with adherence to taking medication and control of dietary in patients with hypertension. This research design used cross sectional to the sample of 30 hypertensive patients in RT VIII RW X Randu Agung 1, Kenjeran District, Sidotopo Wetan, Surabaya with simple random sampling technique. Analysis this research data used Chi-Square test. The results of the statistical test showed that p<0.05 (0.00), it describe a relationship between family support with adherence to taking medication and control of patients with hypertension. Compliance with the therapy program for a long period of time causes sufferers of hypertension to be susceptible to saturation and thus require need family support. The family is the closest environment that can provide care to improve the physical comfort and resilience of hypertensive patients so that they can be a major supporter in the treatment of diseases. Family support can increased the enthusiasm of patients to deal with the disease by providing motivation to control to the doctors and take medication regularly. The results of this study expected to increase self-awareness of hypertensive patients to improve compliance with their treatment so that their blood pressure remains normal and as a basis for developing further research.

Abstract

Unwanted pregnancy still became big problem the world. Unwanted pregnancy mostly happen in adolescents, because emotional and physical instability of teenagers makes risk of having an abortion increased, and is influenced by adolescents' knowledge and attitudes. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of adolescents with KTD. This study was cross sectional method using the total sample. The results showed that adolescent knowledge and attitudes were not significantly associated with KTD (p> 0.05). KTD is not related to the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents, but one respondent who has KTD is a teenager with less knowledge and negative attitude, so further research is needed, increasing the number of samples and analyzing KTD factors in adolescents.

Abstract

Nursing care is a form of nurse care that can help in overcoming health problems, including those with gay / HIV / AIDS. Nursing assessment can be one of the keys to the successful implementation of nursing care. This study aims to explore effective nursing studies for gays with HIV / AIDS. This research is qualitative research with qualitative descriptive design. Data collection uses in-depth interview techniques with semi structure and uses field notes to 14 participants and is analyzed by thematic analysis. This study produced two themes, namely the focus of the assessment technique at the beginning of the meeting and the scope of the comprehensive study. Gay with HIV / AIDS takes time to establish trust and closeness with nurses. Assessment techniques at the beginning of the meeting are things that must be considered by nurses in the nursing care process. Open attitude must be considered in conducting nursing studies.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic disease that can bring about the sufferer's self-stigma and also affect his quality of life. A number of studies report that living with TB has a negative influence on the quality of life of sufferers even with or without self-stigma. The purpose of this study was to identify the quality of life of TB patients who experienced self-stigma. This research is a descriptive study, sample were 31 pulmonary TB patients. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Data analyzed by using frequency distribution and percentage. The researcher first screened TB patients who experienced self-stigma. The results showed that 25 people (80.64%) respondents experienced mild self-stigma. A total of 9 respondents (36%) had a quality of life score in the good category and as many as 16 respondents (64%) had enough category with an average quality of life score is 56.57. While respondents who had moderate self-stigma were 6 people (19.36%) with a good quality of life score was 1 person (16.67%) and enough category quality of life score were 5 people (83.33%) with an average quality of life score is 49.92.
