Abstract

Some nutritional problems are still experienced by school-age children in Indonesia. School snack contribute to the daily energy needs of children, which reached 20% - 31.1%. This study aims to determine the pattern of consumption of snack foods and nutritional status of primary school children. Data collected using 24 hour recall form performed 2 times. Descriptive analysis of frequency distribution tables and interrelationships among variables were analyzed using cross tables. Most of the samples had normal nutritional status (62.5%) and (55.3%). Type of food snack in SD N 17 dangin Puri is in the category less (75.0%), while in SD N 3 Penatih most are in good category (65.8%). Energy consumption in both schools is in good category (57.5%) and (73.7%). Protein consumption in both schools was in good category (62.5%) and (73.7%). After analyzed descriptively obtained result at SD N 17 Dangin Puri that is tendency there is correlation between type of food snack and nutritional status. While in SD N 3 Penatih there is no tendency of linkage between type of food snack and nutritional status. Results in SD N 17 Dangin Puri and SD N 3 Penatih showed that there was a tendency of interrelationship between nutritional value of snack and nutritional status. There are still nutritional problems in both elementary schools, so it is advisable for the school and parents to better control the food intake of children.Keywords: Pattern of Food Consumption, Nutritional Status, Child in Elementary School

Abstract

Lanjut usia adalah salah satu kelompok umur yang beresiko mengalami malnutrisi, kekurangan dan kelebihan zat gizi. Lanjut usia mengalami penurunan fungsi fisiologis akibat proses degeneratif (penuaan) sehingga penyakit tidak menular banyak muncul, salah satunya adalah hipertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konsumsi natrium dan kalium dengan derajat hipertensi pada lanjut usia di Panti Sosial Tresna Werda Wana Seraya Denpasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April 2019 dengan sampel adalah lanjut usia yang diambil secara purposive sampling, sebanyak 30 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukakan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner dan pengukuran yang dilakukan yaitu penimbangan berat badan, tinggi badan, food weighing, dan pengukuran tekanan darah. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah Rank Spearman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, rata-rata konsumsi natrium sampel adalah 1904,14 mg (lebih) dengan hasil analisis tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara konsumsi natrium dengan derajat hipertensi pada lanjut usia (p = 0,448). Rata-rata konsumsi kalium sampel adalah 577,77 mg (defisit) dengan hasil analisis tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara konsumsi natrium dengan derajat hipertensi pada lanjut usia (p = 0,823). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tidak ada hubungan konsumsi natrium dan kalium dengan derajat hipertensi pada lanjut usia.

Abstract

Unhealthy diet, low physical activity like less work-out, not a lot of movement outside the room and play gadgets such as mobile phones. The negative impact of the use of gadgets, namely sleep disorders, brain growth that is too rapid, hindering child development, child obesity and mental disorders in children. The purpose of this research is to know the description of the status of obesity based on duration of usage of gadgets and levels of consumption of energy in students of Junior High School 10 of Denpasar. The type of research used namely observational and Purposive Sampling method using. Data collected that is the identity of the sample, the measurement data of Anthropometry, duration of usage of gadgets and the level of energy consumption samples. The number of samples that are used as much as 91 samples. Based on the results of the study, groups of samples with the nutritional status of obesity that has duration of usage of gadgets with a duration of 2 hours per day that is as much as 20 samples (41.7%) and duration of over 2 hours as many as 48 samples (58.3%). As for the energy consumption level of the sample with the status of obesity has a rate of consumption above the adequacy as much as 39 samples (81.3%). This indicates that the duration of the use of gadgets more than 2 hours per day above consumption levels and adequacy ( 110% AKE) relating to the status of obesity in students of Junior High School 10 of Denpasar.  Keywords: Obesity, Duration Usage Of Gadgets, The Level Of Energy Consumption

Abstract

ABSTRACT Anemia in adolescents is anemia which is mostly caused by lack of nutrition intake needed for the formation of hemoglobin, namely iron (Fe), vitamin C and copper. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of food availability and nutrition consumption with anemia status of State Vocational School students in Tabanan District, Tabanan Regency. This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional approach at SMK Negeri 1 Tabanan in January - March 2020. The population of this study was X grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Tabanan and a sample of 83 people. Anemia status data samples were collected by measuring hemoglobin levels using Hb meters, food availability was obtained using a food record form and nutrition consumption was obtained through interviews using a 1x24 hour recall form. Data were analyzed descriptively and analytically using the Pearson and Spearman Correlation test. A total of 96.4% of the sample were not anemic, 77.1% had food availability in the available category, 54.2% had a low energy consumption level, 32.5% had a low protein consumption level, 88.0% had a very high iron consumption level less, 96.4% had very less consumption of folic acid and 78.3% had very less consumption of vitamin B12. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the variable food availability and nutrition consumption that affects the anemia sample status gets p value ɑ (p 0,05)  whick means there is no relationship between food availability and nutrition consumption and there is no relationship between nutrition consumption and anemia sample status.Keywords: food availability, nutrition consumption and anemia status

Abstract

Hyperuricemia is the case of elevated levels of serum uric acid above normal. Although Hyperuricemia is a disease that is not deadly, if not controlled properly can lead to various complications of other diseases such as Diabetes Mellitus and hypertension that have high mortality. Data from Riskesdas (2013) showed the prevalence of joint diseases in Bali at 19.3%. This research aims to determine the relationship of Purin consumption patterns and nutritional status with uric acid levels in rural communities in central Munduk Tengah, Buleleng Regency. The type of observational research with cross-sectional design with a population of 73 people and a sample of 63 people. The Data of Purin consumption patterns was collected by recapitating of SQ-FFQ forms. Nutritional status Data is determined by referring to the body mass index (BMI) by conducting height measurement and weighing weight. Data of uric acid levels in the blood is obtained by using multi-check tool parameters. Data that has been collected is then processed using computer software to determine whether  there is a relationship between variables. Some more samples have a normal quantities of purine intake per day (50.8%). Most samples consume a type of foodstuffs that have low purine (80.9%).  Most samples often consume food sources of purin at a frequency (52.4%). Most samples have a normal nutritional status (57.1%). Some more samples have normal uric acid levels (60.3%). Based on the results of data analysis using Chi-Square statistical test it’s known that there is a significant relationship (p = 0,000) between of purine consumption patterns with uric acid levels. No relationship (P = 0,259) between nutritional status with uric acid levels. The conclusion of this research is there is a relationship between of purin consumption patterns with uric acid levels and no relationship between nutritional status with uric acid levels. Keywords :  Hiperuricemia, Purine Consumption, Nutritional Status, Uric Acid Levels

Abstract

The central obesity prevalence in Bali is 36% higher than the national prevalence in 2018. The highest prevalence of central obesity at the center of Tampaksiring with 28.87% in Gianyar. This research aims to determine the relationship between breakfast habits and fast food consumption patterns and quantity with the adolescent nutritional status in State High School 1 Tampaksiring, Gianyar regency. The type of observational research with cross-sectional design with a population number of 597 people and a sample amount of 65 people. Breakfast habits areobtained with questionnaires. Fast food consumption pattern obtained by interview method with form SQ-FFQ and form Recall 1x24 hours. Adolescent nutritional status data is determined by referring to the Z-score by doing height measurement and weighing weight. Further collected Data is processed using computer software to determine whether there is a relationship between variables. Samples have good breakfast habits with a score of 80 (20%). Samples consume fast food type that has a type of less or 12 types of fast food (66.2%). Samples often consume fast food with a frequency of 3-6x/week (38.5%). Sample with fast food amount with high consumption fast food day (80%). Samples have a normal adolescent nutritional status (83.08%). Based on the results of data analysis using a statistical test the Pearson correlation is known that there is no significant relationship (r=0,104, p=0,408) between breakfast habits and adolescent nutritional status. There is no significant relationship (r= 0,041, p=0,745) between the consumption patterns of fast food and the adolescent nutritional status. The conclusion of the research is no relationship between breakfast habits and adolescent nutritional status and than no relationship between the fast food consumption pattern and the adolescent nutritional status. Keywords: Adolescent Nutritional Status , Breakfast Habits, Consumption Patterns Fast Food

Abstract

Nutritional status is the end result of the balance between food intake the body (nutrient input) with the body's needs (nutrient output) of these nutrients. Macro nutrient is the largest component of the composition of the diet and serves to supply energy and essential nutrients. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of macro nutrient intake and nutritional status of workers at Sun Island Hotel and Spa Kuta. This study were observational with a cross sectional design. The total sample of this study was 32 samples. Nutritional status data is taken by measuring height and weighing the body. The level of energy consumption and macro nutrients is obtained by performing a 2 x 24 hour recall. As many as 17 samples (53.12%) with normal nutritional status, as many as 4 samples (12.5%) were obese nutritional status, and 11 samples (34.37%) were very fat nutritional status. The level of energy consumption deficit with normal nutritional status was 13 samples (76,47%), the level of consumption of protein deficits with normal nutritional status was 16 samples (94.12%), the level of fat deficit consumption with normal nutritional status was 9 samples (52,94%), and carbohydrate consumption deficits with normal nutritional status were 13 samples (76.47%).
