Abstract

This research is motivated by the low development of students' soft skills in the learning process in higher education, which tends to focus solely on cognitive aspects. This study aims to develop an integrated thematic Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model that aligns with the Content-Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach, where English is learned through specific course content to strengthen students' work skills. Using the ADDIE development model, a mixed method approach was used in this study involving 100 Management Study Program students and two English lecturers. Data were collected through a needs analysis based on Target Situation Analysis (TSA), a Likert scale survey validated with Cronbach's Alpha, and semi-structured interviews analyzed thematically. The expert evaluation recommended adding real case studies and more interactive activities. The final evaluation showed that integrating PjBL and CLIL effectively improved students' communication and soft skills. The results of this study indicate that the model can support curriculum development and improve students' readiness to face academic and professional demands. In conclusion, the development of integrated thematic PjBL with a language and CLIL can effectively train and strengthen students' soft skills in higher education. Implementing integrated thematic PjBL with a language and content-integrated learning approach can effectively support the development of students' soft skills in higher education, especially in collaboration, communication, and contextual problem-solving.

Abstract

Introduction and learning of traffic orders is not only the responsibility of the police but also requires an active role from all parties to minimize the occurrence of traffic violations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of traffic violation prevention against children. This type of research is qualitative. The population in this study includes all police officers, and the sample was determined purposively. The data collection method combines in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation with instruments like interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation checklists. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study are that the duties and functions of the police in handling traffic violations by children have positively contributed to reducing the number of violations. A comprehensive approach involving various parties is the key to overcoming the problem of traffic violations by children. It is concluded that efforts to overcome traffic violations against children carried out by the Badung Police have gone in the right direction and have had a positive impact on increasing legal awareness among children. However, its effectiveness has not been maximized due to various supporting factors that are still limited. The implication is that there is a need to strengthen the synergy between the police, schools, and families in building legal awareness from an early age, as well as increasing institutional capacity in carrying out the functions of fostering and enforcing the law in a preventive and educational manner towards children.

Abstract

The traditional game of ngejuk capung is one of the cultural heritages that is beginning to be abandoned. This is influenced by the rapid development of technology, to the extent that children today only play online games and forget about traditional games. However, traditional games contain noble cultural values that have been passed down from generation to generation. The purpose of this study is to identify the local wisdom values in the ngejuk capung game. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique involved a literature review of the traditional game series by Made Taro, from “Ngejuk Capung” to “Ngejuk Lindung,”. The instruments used were an analysis sheet (data coding tool) and field notes.  The results of this study indicate that the seemingly simple ngejuk capung game actually contains 17 local wisdom values, namely religious values, aesthetic values, cooperative values, moral values, tolerance values, artistic values, historical values, economic values, social values, hard work values, discipline values, educational values, health values, cultural preservation and creativity values, environmental care values, peace values, and courtesy values. The local wisdom values contained in the ngejuk capung game can serve as a model for developing multicultural education that values diversity while maintaining cultural identity. The long-term implications of this research are the opening of opportunities to develop an educational curriculum that not only focuses on academic achievement but also on the formation of strong character, social awareness, and love for local culture.

Abstract

In classroom learning, many students have not achieved digital literacy and socioemotional intelligence optimally. This condition shows that conventional learning is not effective enough to support students' learning needs in a more diverse and holistic manner. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the effect of differentiated learning model on students' digital literacy and socioemotional intelligence, and predict its effectiveness in improving both aspects. This research is quasi-experimental research with post-test only control group design. The research subjects were students in grade VIII, consisting of two groups, namely experimental and control groups, each totaling 32 students, making a total of 64 test subjects. Data were collected using the digital literacy questionnaire and socioemotional intelligence questionnaire as research instruments. Data analysis included t-test to see differences between groups and Product Moment Correlation test to strengthen variable relationships. The results showed that the differentiated learning model significantly improved students' digital literacy and significantly improved students' socioemotional intelligence compared to conventional learning. Thus, it is concluded that differentiated learning is able to optimize students' digital literacy skills and socioemotional intelligence, thus answering the problem of low mastery of these two competencies in the classroom. This research has implications for the importance of implementing differentiated learning in the current educational context to support student-centered learning and better prepare them to face the challenges of life.
