Abstract

Abstrak: Indonesia menjadikan Pancasila sebagai dasar negara, dan pandangan hidup dalam kehidupan bangsa dan negara. Meskipun bukan negara agama, mayoritas penduduk Indonesia menganut agama Islam, khususnya mazhab Ahlussunnah Waljamaah (Sunni). Di antara masyarakat Sunni tersebut berafiliasi dengan organisasi Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah, Nahdlatul Ulama, Persis, dan Muhammadiyah yang memiliki wakil di Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). Meskipun didominasi oleh masyarakat Muslim Sunni, aliran baru juga muncul seperti Syiah dan Ahmadiyah yang dinilai oleh MUI sebagai aliran yang menyimpang. Tidak jarang muncul diskursus dan konflik antara kelompok Sunni dan aliran minoritas Muslim tersebut. Artikel ini mengkaji keberadaan aliran minoritas yang dinilai menyimpang di Indonesia, dan respons MUI terhadap berbagai aliran tersebut. Berdasarkan observasi dan studi dokumen, ditemukan aliran dan paham menyimpang di Indonesia dengan jumlah pengikut signifikan yang memunculkan respons dari MUI, termasuk organisasi-organisasi Islam, yang pada gilirannya melahirkan fatwa keagamaan tentang aliran dan paham menyimpang di Indonesia. Abstract: Islamic Minority Groups in Indonesia. Indonesia makes Pancasila the basis of the state, and the way of life of the nation and state. Although not being a religious state, the majority of the Indonesian population embraced Islam, especially Ahlussunnah Waljamaah (Sunni). Among the Sunni communities are affiliated with the organization Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah, Nahdlatul Ulama, Persis, and Muhammadiyah all of which represent in the Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). Although dominated by Sunni Muslim majority, new mainstreams have also emerged as Shia and Ahmadiyah as perceived by the MUI as deviant sects. Frequently there are discursions and conflicts between Sunni and Muslim minorities. This article examines the existence of Muslim minorities in Indonesia, and the MUI's response to the various streams. Based on observations and document studies, there are significant influxes and understandings in Indonesia with a significant number of followers raising responses from MUI, including Islamic organizations, which in turn led to religious fatwas on the deviation of faith and  perversion in Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Indonesia, fatwa, MUI, aliran sesat, Syiah, Ahmadiyah

Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini mengkaji peran Wilayatul Hisbah dalam menegakkan syariat Islam di Aceh Tenggara. Kajian ini merupak hasil dari penelitian lapangan dan data diperoleh melalui kegiatam wawancara dan observasi untuk menjawab fokus kajian. Kajian ini mengajukan temuan bahwa penegakan syariat Islam di daerah Aceh Tenggara masih mengalami kemandegan. Wilayatul Hisbah masih menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam menegakkan syariat Islam terutama yang berkaitan dengan aspek kelembagaan, penerapan hukum, proses hukum dan kesiapan perangkat hukum dan sumber daya manusia. Kesulitan dalam menegakkan syariat Islam diperparah oleh belum adanya kesadaran hukum masyarakat di Aceh Tenggara. Pelanggaran qânûn syariat Islam masih terjadi di perkampungan, dan aparat penegak hukum syariat Islam tidak banyak hanya berdiam diri. Diperlukan reformasi struktur hukum dan birokrasi penegak qanun di Aceh. Kajian ini berkontribusi untuk membantu pemerintah Aceh dalam memperbaiki sistem dan mensukseskan penegakan syariat Islam di Aceh. Abstract: The Resistence of the Application of Islamic Law in Aceh Tenggara. This article examines the role of the Wilayatul Hisbah Region in enforcing the Shari'a of Islam in Southeast Aceh. This study is the result of field research and data obtained through interviewing and observation activities to answer the focus of the study. This study proposes that the enforcement of Islamic law in the Southeast Aceh region is still stagnating. The Wilayatul Hisbah area still faces various obstacles in enforcing Islamic law especially related to institutional aspect, law implementation, legal process and readiness of law and human resources. Difficulties in enforcing Islamic Shari'ah is worsened by the absence of legal awareness of the community in Southeast Aceh. Violations qânûn Islamic Shari'a still occur in the village, and law enforcement officers of sharia Islam is not much just silence. Required reform of the legal structure and bureaucracy of qanun enforcers in Aceh. This study contributes to assisting the Aceh government in improving the system and succeeding the enforcement of Islamic Shari'ah in Aceh. Kata Kunci: Aceh, Wilayatul Hisbah, syariat Islam, qânûn

Abstract

Abstrak: Asumsi dasar kajian ini adalah hubungan Muslim dan Kristiani di Sumatera Utara berlangsung dalam berbagai domain dimana interaksinya bisa terjadi secara harmonis maupun disharmonis. Berpijak pada asumsi itu, fokus kajian ini akan menelaah bagaimana hubungan Muslim-Kristiani di Sumatera Utara berlangsung pada domain dunia pendidikan. Artikel ini hendak mengkaji hubungan Muslim dan Kristiani dalam dunia pendidikan. Secara khusus, akan diteliti bagaimana hubungan antara tokoh dan lembaga pendidikan Islam dan lembaga pendidikan Kristen dalam membangun kerukunan di Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Sosiologi Agama, sedangkan analisa data menggunakan pendekatan analisis domain dan analisis taxonomi yang diajukan Spradley. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa hubungan Muslim-Kristiani berlangsung secara harmonis. Banyak kasus dimana lembaga dan tokoh pendidikan mengadakan kegiatan-kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan kerukunan, selain lahirnya sejumlah karya yang dinilai dapat mendorong perubahan paradigma masyarakat tentang hubungan Islam dan Kristen. Abstract: Muslim-Christian Relations in Educational Institution in North Sumatra. The basic assumption of this study is that the relationship between Muslims and Christians in North Sumatra takes place in various domains where interactions can occur harmoniously and disharmonically. Based on that assumption, the focus of this study is how the Muslim-Christian relationship in North Sumatra takes place in the domain of education. This article will examine the relationship between Muslims and Christians in education. In particular, will be examined how the relationship between figures and institutions of Islamic education and Christian educational institutions in building harmony in North Sumatra. The research was conducted by using Sociology of Religion, while data analysis using domain analysis approach and taxonomy analysis proposed by Spradley. The study found that Muslim-Christian relations are harmonious. Many cases where educational institutions and leaders conduct activities related to harmony, in addition to the birth of a number of works that are considered to encourage a change in the paradigm of society about the relationship of Islam and Christianity. Kata Kunci: Muslim, Kristiani, pendidikan, agama-agama, dialog

Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini mengkaji persoalan bias gender dalam buku pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam di tingkat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Secara khusus, akan diteliti sejauhmana kemungkinan bias gender dalam pelajaran SKI untuk domain materi, gambar, dan rubrik. Data diperoleh melalui telaah dokumen, yaitu menganalisa buku pelajaran SKI yang biasa digunakan guru pada tingkat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa buku pelajaran SKI masih bias gender. Sebab itu, perlu dilakukan penulisan buku pelajaran untuk anak madrasah dengan memerhatikan asas kesetaraan gender, agar persoalan bias gender tidak dilestarikan oleh lembaga-lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Temuan kajian ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi pemerintah, khususnya Kementerian Agama, dalam menentukan kebijakan tentang buku-buku pelajaran untuk madrasah yang seharusnya mengedepankan kesetaraan gender.Abstract: Gender Bias in History of Islamic Civilization (SKI) Course Materials at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Level. This article examines the issue of gender bias in Islamic civilization history textbooks at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. Specifically, this article examines the extent to which gender bias is possible in SKI lessons for material sphere, images and rubrics. The data obtained through the study of the document, by analyzing textbooks and course materials used by teachers at the level of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This study found that SKI textbooks are still gender biased. Therefore, it is necessary to write textbooks for madrasah students by taking into account the principle of gender equality, so that gender bias issues are not preserved by Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. The findings of this study may serve as a basis for the government, in particular the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in determining policies on textbooks for madrasah that should promote gender equality. Kata Kunci: bias gender, madrasah, Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam

Abstract

Abstrak: Artikel ini mengkaji sistem pendidikan di Madrasah Al-Jam’iyatul Chalidiyah di Langkat. Kajian ini dilatari oleh keyakinan bahwa ada banyak lembaga pendidikan Islam yang didirikan sepanjang era kolonial, dan terus bertahan sampai era kemerdekaan. Secara khusus, kajian ini hendak meneliti eksistensi Madrasah Al-Jam’iyatul Chalidiyah ditinjau dari perspektif ilmu pendidikan Islam, sehingga akan dianalisa tujuan, pendidik dan peserta didik, kurikulum, metode, dan fasilitas pendidikan madrasah ini. Objek kajian akan didekati dengan pendekatan sejarah, dan data penelitian diperoleh melalui kegiatan telaah dokumen. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa sistem pendidikan di Madrasah Al-Jam’iyatul Chalidiyah telah mengalami banyak perubahan setelah berusia 75 tahun yang dapat dibagi menjadi tiga fase, yakni fase sebelum kemerdekaan Indonesia, sesudah kemerdekaan Indonesia dan reformasi. Kajian ini diyakini dapat memperkaya referensi dalam bidang sejarah pendidikan Islam di luar Jawa, khususnya di dunia Melayu.Abstract: Islamic Education in Malay Land: The Education System of Madrasah al-Jam’iyatul Chalidiyah in Langkat, 1941-2016. This article examines the education system at Madrasah Al-Jam'iyatul Chalidiyah in Langkat. This study is based on the belief that there are many Islamic educational institutions established throughout the colonial era, and continue to survive until the era of independence. In particular, this study will examine the existence of Madrasah Al-Jam'iyatul Chalidiyah from the perspective of Islamic education science, so that will be analyzed purposes, educators and learners, curriculum, methods, and educational facilities of this madrasah. The object of the study will be approached with a historical approach, and research data is obtained through document review activities. This study found that the education system at Madrasah Al-Jam'iyatul Chalidiyah has undergone many changes after 75 years of age which can be divided into three phases, the pre-independence phase of Indonesia, after Indonesian independence and reform. This study is believed to enrich references in the history of Islamic education outside Java, especially in the Malay world.Kata Kunci: sistem pendidikan, madrasah, Melayu, Langkat, Al-Jam’iyatul Chalidiyah
