Abstract

This study aims to study the efficiency of CO and SO2 gas absorption in motor vehicles emission using activated banana leather bark (Musa acuminate L). The carbon was prepared though consists of a banana skin carbonation process at a temperature at 450 o C for 1.5 hours and activated carbon activation process using H2 SO4 activator at concentrations of 1 Nfor 1, 2 and 3 hours.The motor vehicle emission absorption process uses an adsorption tube which has been loaded activated carbon and connected to the exhaust for 5 minutes. The test of activated carbon characteristics studied were absorption test I2, FTIR test and SEM test. The results showed that iodine absorption was 914 mg / g. The FTIR spectra of activated carbon showed absorption band spectra at wave number 781,17 - 3624,25 cm-1 on vibration of group -OH, with intensity 77,85%. The SEM results show the addition of pore size before and after activation of 1.131 μm and 15.015 μm. The carbon CO gas absorption efficiency is 25% and Gas SO2 is 40%

Abstract

School is one of areas that must be controlled by noise level. In accordance with the quality standards of noise level at the school or educational institution is 55 dB. The school conditions polluted air pollution will affect the comfort and ultimately student in learning process and give bad effect for the students’ achievement concentration decreases. The aim of the research is to analyze noise level and see composite materials to reduce noise levels through computer simulation approach. Parameter acoustic test in the noisy background (Background of Noise), Sound Pressure Level Distribution, Time buzz, Speech Transmission Index (STI) and Insulation. The sample of this research is in SMPN 4 Banda Aceh. Based on the data obtained, it is found that the noise levels at the site beyond the expiry of the quality standards required that at one point in the school yard around 76.8 dB, point 2 in classrooms around 66.1 dB and point 3 outside of school grounds around 77.7 dB. Based on simulation results for Clarity / C80 superior to the material to 3, for reverberation time and decay (D50 and T30) superior to the material to 4th and 5th, while for clarity conversation / STI all the ingredients fit in either category.

Abstract

The availability of coffee leather waste is quite large in Aceh, because coffee processing will produce 65% coffee beans and 35% of coffee leather waste, while coffee production in Central Aceh in 2013 reaches a total of 26 thousand tons. Coffee skin waste has fiber content of 65.2%. The purpose of this study is expected to create a new source of renewable energy that is environmentally friendly and can overcome the scarcity of fuel. The process of making bioethanol is done by hydrolyzing the waste of coffee skin into glucose using HCl catalyst. Furthermore, glucose is fermented into bioethanol using Saccharomyces cereviseae and Zymomonas Mobilis bacteria. The variables performed were fermentation time of 5, 7 and 9 days, starter concentration 5%, 10% and 15% and ratio of enzyme combination of Saccharomyces cereviseae and Zymomonas mobilis (1: 2, 1: 1, 2: 1). This study is expected to find the best yield and ethanol content when compared with no enzyme combination

Abstract

Development of ecotourism is one way to preserve the forest and also for the welfare of the surrounding community. Salang Pangeran ecotourism in Timbang Lawan village is part of the buffer of Gunung Leuser National Park. Since 2014, people of Timbang Lawan village have opened the Salang Pangeran ecotourism for public. Tourists who visit the ecotourism increase significantly. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of potential objects and natural attractions, internal and external factors that affect the development of Salang Pangeran ecotourism and its development strategies. Methods of data collection by conducting literature studies, field observations, interviews with communities and stakeholders and conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Data analysis on the potential of Objects and Natural Tourist Attraction (ODTWA) described descriptively and it processed by using Guidance Analysis of the Operational Area-Objects and Natural Tourist Attraction (ADO-ODTWA) and SWOT analysis to formulate strategic alternatives. The results of ODTWA analysis in the Salang Pangeran ecotourism area for each criterias are known for attractiveness value is 1260 points (high), accessibility, 725 points (medium), condition of socio-economic environment, 425 points (medium), accommodation, 180 points (high), insfrastructure and supporting facilities, 300 points (high) and availability of clean water, 900 points (high). There are 9 alternative strategies for the Salang Pangeran ecotourism development plan

Abstract

Indonesia is one of tropical countries that rich in natural resources. It has more than a thousand of medicinal plants. This study focused on assessing the potential of phytochemical content gambir leaves from Southeast Aceh as an alternative of antidiabetes through inhibition of alpha amylase enzyme. Steps of research to be conducted consist of: (1) Making dry simplisia from gambir leaves; extraction of gambir leaves by maceration for 2x24 hours and screening done every 24 hours, and solvent evaporation to obtain the dry extract of gambir; (2) Analysis of phytochemical (phenolic, flavonoid and tannin) content of ethanol extract of gambir leaves; and (3) Analysis of chemical components using GC-MS. The results showed that the moisture content of powder gambir leaves was 3,017%, which is still below the national standard. The ethanol extract contained a rendement of 2,47 gr / gr of dry weight. The inhibition activity of alpha amylase enzyme was obtained at a sample concentration of 1000 ppm , e.i 88.22%. The more active a sample in inhibiting the action of the alpha-amylase enzyme, the less the 3-amino-5-nitrosalisilic acid formed in the second stage of enzyme activation. The results of phytochemicalanalysis of ethanol extract of gambir leaves from Southeast Aceh showed secondary metabolite content such as Total Phenolic, Total Flavonoid, and Tanin respectively of 71, 80; 32, 06 and 58.39%. The chemical components, e.i the total phenolics, flavonoids and tannins have been reported to have antidiabetic activity by lowering blood sugar levels after inhibition testing via the alpha amylase enzyme.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of erosion in various types of land use in Merdeka District. This research used erotic prediction analysis survey method with Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method. The parameters measured in this research are erosivitas, erodibility, length and slope of the slope, cover vegetation, conservation measures, soil effective depth, soil density. The techniques of collecting and analyzing the research data are: making of land unit, field data collection, rainfall data analysis, soil analysis, and map analysis. The results showed that the rate of erosion in Merdeka District was 13,250,049 ton / ha / year with average erosion rate reached 1,261,909 ton / ha / year. The highest erosion rate was found in land use area of 2,959,018 tons / ha / year, while the lowest erosion was found on the use of settlement land of 29,810 tons / ha / year.

Abstract

Used water has the potential to be processed and recycled based on its continuous volume and quality that allows processing in place. The need for the importance of water is not balanced with consciousness to conserve water, so that many sources of water are polluted by human actions themselves. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of waste water usage of ablution activities, to know the performance of water treatment using ablution water through a combination of slow sand filter; and analyze the content of BOD5, E.colli / total coliform, pH and ablution water temperature. This research took samples at Jamik Lambaro Mosque, Regency of Aceh Besar, then tested in Environmental Engineering Laboratory of Environment of Serambi Mekkah University. The results showed that the use of ablution water increased at the time of five daily prayers, especially on Friday reached 1,579 people with the use of water ablution reached 4747 liters. Currently, there is no water treatment for the former Mosque of Jami’ Lambaro Mosque, the waste water is dumped into the mosque’s drainage ditch. Based on ablution water treatment with sand combination has decrease efficiency of BOD5 equal to 95%. The results of laboratory tests showed that the BOD5 content of 17 mg / l, its value under the standard quality of 50 mg / l. E.colli / total coliform that is 0 from 100 ml that meets the quality standard in accordance with Kep.Men LH RI No. 5 year 2014. The result of temperature / temperature analyst is 28,9 oC and pH is 7,34

Abstract

Nowadays the use of WiFi network technology device has been widely developed around the world, both used for voice and data communications. WiFi networks utilize high frequencies to deliver and connect a communication, then the vulnerability to security is also higher than with other communication technologies. Various security measures can be done through communication devices used by users or by operators who provide communication services. However, with the user who utilizes WiFi network technology, it can provide little security hole that can be exploited by the attacker. Then the attacker can find out the WPA2-PSK security password when the user connects to the WiFi network. So the resulting password through several techniques and testing used. Among them by utilizing the user connected to the WiFi network, testing fake SSID and testing WPS PIN. However, in this study only conducted testing through a user connected to a WiFi network. This technique and testing is solely done to penetrate the security of WiFi network, which aims to know the password of WPA2-PSK on WiFi network and to add insight about WiFi network security

Abstract

PT Out Of Asia is an exporting company that produces handicraft products. All products in the company are semi-finished products from suppliers who performed the finishing and packing stage. The production process system is done by the company varies according to the demand of the consumer, so the raw material of packing needed also vary. However, the increasing number of consumer demand is increasingly binding, it will also increase the demand for packing raw materials, so it is necessary to control the supply of raw materials packing to minimize the cost of raw material inventory according to storage capacity and packing production capability. In addition, ordering of raw materials can be done in combination to save raw material inventory. The method used in this research is Joint Replenishment Problem (JRP) and (Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, to compare total inventory cost using Joint Replenishment Probe (JRP) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. The research shows that total cost the minimum inventory using Joint Replenishment Problem (JRP) method is Rp 1,180,246,601 / year compared to use the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method of Rp 4,326,163,356 / year, with the difference of comparison using JRP and EOQ of Rp 3,145,916,750/ year

Abstract

The uninhabited housing situation is very vulnerable to the existence of theft activities. Anticipation using a variety of door locking system of the house also often can be overcome by various the perpetrators of theft. Information technology today is inseparable from the development of internet communication technology. The Internet today are an essential part of every society as a means of Informastion Source. Therefore, there needs to be integration of home security system which can be integrated with internet based information system as one of innovation in security system. The research objective is the design and manufacture of sensor-based home security system as a passive infrared motion detectors integrated with Internet-based information system with the concept of the Internet of things (IoTs). The research used Passive Infra Red Sensor as input data, Arduino Uno Microcontroller as Sensor Data Processor and Ethernet as Web Server. The research resulted in a series of home security information system prototype based internet information and has successfully accessed through an Internet browser in the form of home security information to detect the presence of an intruder without permission remotely via the internet.
