Abstract

Schools still rely on textbooks in the batik learning process, so batik learning outcomes do not meet competency standards. Based on this, this research aims to produce a batik learning e-module that is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is development research. This research uses the four-D development model. The research subjects were 2 learning material experts, 2 learning media experts, and 3 teachers. The test subjects were 30 class XI students at SMK. The methods used to collect data are questionnaires and tests. Data collection instruments are questionnaires and questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive. The research results show that the batik learning E-module produced is valid, practical, and effective in terms of appropriateness of the E-module content, E-module language, E-module presentation, and E-module graphics. The results of assessing the effectiveness of the mangrove organic batik E-module learning media in this research produced an N-Gain score of 0.71 so that the level of effectiveness was categorized as "High" with the interpretation "Effective". It was concluded that the Batik Learning E-module is suitable as an alternative reference material for developing the Batik E-module. The implication of this research is that the E-module developed can be used in learning.

Abstract

The Listening for Daily Context course in the English Language Education Study Program, Mahasaraswati University, Denpasar, has never been evaluated even though listening is an important skill in language learning. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the course using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. This research is a qualitative study involving study program managers, lecturers, and students as participants. Data collection was carried out through open interviews and document studies. The results of the study show that this course is well designed, in accordance with clear curriculum goals, combines theory and practice, and is supported by adequate human resources and facilities. The evaluation also showed that this course was proactive in overcoming challenges, integrating feedback from students, and having a positive impact on students' listening comprehension and communication skills. However, there is still a need for improvements in technological updates and the use of more authentic materials. This study concludes that this course is effective in developing students' listening skills and recommends increased use of technology as well as opportunities for listening practice in real contexts to prepare students to communicate academically and professionally. This evaluation provides insight to continue to improve this program so that students are ready to communicate in English academically and professionally.

Abstract

There is a need to understand the factors that influence student achievement in education, especially how to analyze the relationship between interest, motivation and learning style with various other factors such as academic, technical, skills, adaptation and social abilities that affect student achievement. The main objective of this study is to analyze academic, technical skills, adaptation, and social abilities about student achievement, as well as the role of interest, motivation, and learning style in determining educational outcomes. This type of research is quantitative with a Partial Least Squares (PLS) methodology approach, using SmartPLS 3.0 software for data analysis. The subjects of the study consisted of a population of 1,241 vocational high school students from grades X to XII. Sampling was done using the proportional stratified random sampling technique with the Taro Yamana formula at a significance level of 5%, and a sample of 294 students was obtained. The structural model shows a significant influence of exogenous variables (academic, technical, social, and adaptation abilities) on interest and motivation (R-square equals 0.774) and learning style (R-square equals 0.822). Although some hypotheses did not reach statistical significance, seven others showed significant effects. These findings emphasize the role of interests, motivation, and learning styles as mediators and suggest the need for more effective educational policies to improve academic outcomes.

Abstract

After the COVID-19 pandemic. network-based learning has become a necessity and habit for many universities in Indonesia. This research focuses on the problem of student's lack of participation in online learning through virtual meetings. The purpose of this study is to analyze undergraduate students' perceptions of online lectures. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. involving 233 students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education as respondents. The data collection method used was a questionnaire with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire sheet. After the data was collected. it was analyzed using the descriptive statistical analysis method. Based on the findings of this study. students' perceptions of online learning overall are at a high level. especially on the aspect of flexibility. which is rated very positively. However. some aspects need more attention. primarily related to the effectiveness of online learning in improving academic achievement and reducing boredom. It can be concluded that while students appreciate the flexibility and convenience of online learning. there is a need to improve the quality of the learning process to make it more effective and meaningful for students. The implication is that universities need to develop more interactive. meaningful and engaging online learning strategies to increase student participation. In addition. more varied types of assignments and the use of technology that supports more collaboration will increase the effectiveness and satisfaction of online learning in the future.
