One important point in the accreditation of higher education study programs is the availability of a journal that holds the results of research of many investigators. Since the year 2012, Informatics Department has English language. Journal called IJID International Journal on Informatics for Development. IJID Issues accommodate a variety of issues, the latest from the world of science and technology. One of the requirements of a quality journal if the journal is said to focus on one area of science and sustainability of IJID. We accept the scientific literature from the readers. And hopefully these journals can be useful for the development of IT in the world. Informatics Department Faculty of Science and Technology State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga.

Abstract

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a fuel that is currently widely used by the community in meeting their daily needs. Safety in the use of LPG) is one of the important aspects for Indonesian people both at home, eating-places, tourist attractions, campuses and other places that use LPG. Fires often occur caused by LPG leaks that are not realized by the owner and the people around him, causing fires. The fire caused by gas leakage not only harms the owner but also people who are not far from the fire. From these problems, the authors make a design of cloud computing-based detection system of gas leak using a microcontroller NodeMCU Esp8266 that can provide notifications via smartphone in case of fire and automatically do the first treatment by turning on the exhaust. Notifications sent via the smartphone appear not only when opening the application, but also when it does not open the application.

Abstract

Information technology has become an important element in the industrial era 4.0, an era where the concept of automation is known in the production process carried out by technology by reducing the role of humans in its application. Since the issuance of Presidential Instruction Number 3/2003 concerning National Policies and Strategies for E-Government Development, both central government and local governments, have begun to move to develop e-government in their respective regions. The Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia is currently implementing e-government in internal business processes and public services that aimed at serving prime communities, eliminating illegal payments, and creating transparent and accountable performance. One of them is the use of the Sistem Database Pemasyarakatan (SDP). Data and information in the SDP are confidential because one of them contains data and information on criminals in Indonesia. The research method used is a quantitative method using a questionnaire instrument and using the 5th edition of the COBIT framework model and emphasizes on information security. From the gap analysis, it can be recommended one of them is Organizations must integrate security into every facet of management and operations. This begins with identifying all business processes and associated stakeholders, including audit.

Abstract

Apparently Social media sites are becoming increasingly popular, it creates platforms through which organizations, communities, and individuals share and discuss various topics. The reviews and data obtained from these sites are essential for further analysis. In this paper we studied the sentiment classification of 2019 Kenyan 1000 banknote demonetization using Twitter as our source dataset. We perform Multi nominal naïve Bayes classifier algorithm to classify tweets documents. We split our dataset using k-folder validation since we had limited amounts of data, so to achieve unbiased prediction of the model. . We obtained in test data an accuracy of 70.8% when we used unigram model and 64.1% when we applied bigram model. Results show that the model reached to an acceptable accuracy of (71%) on average using unigram model.

Abstract

Policies related to the automotive industry have become significant for the Ministry of Industry. The problem in determining these policies is the determination of important factors for the automotive industry so that the policies formulated are right on target. The search for these important factors can be done by using the factor analysis method. So far, no studies have been conducted to examine the factors that influence the growth of the automotive industry. In this study, factor analysis is performed on factors in the automotive industry using the principal component analysis algorithm. The algorithm seeks to describe independently the aspects that become the main factors in determining the automotive industry. Based on an analysis of factors in the automotive industry production, the most influential factors are foreign investment, vehicle ownership ratios, and at last the change in GDP.

Abstract

English for Informatics is a compulsory subject that facilitates students' listening, reading, speaking and writing skills in English. Previously, this course was held in a full face-to-face meeting with a large number of students in a class, which brought some weaknesses, such as difficulty in meeting the learning needs of students with varying abilities and levels of speed resulting in the lack of personal interaction between lecturers and students. This paper describes the implementation of a full asynchronous online learning aimed at building a more personal and creative learning environment. The research model used is an ADDIE development model (Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). In preliminary analysis, students' self-assessment and students expectations shows that students need to strengthen their English communication skills both verbally and in writing. Based on the need of students in the study program and the needs after graduation, this course is designed to achieve four competencies, namely English for daily communication, English in the IT field, English for academic purposes, and English for the workplace. Each competency will have an outcome that requires students to study more personally and have a thorough learning experience. Course content is designed to support the competencies needed by fourth-year Informatics students, i.e. research study, student exchange, student internships, and student entrepreneur or community services. The asynchronous online course has been implemented by using the Google Classrooms as the main learning platform and a number of supporting applications, such as Padlet to organize students’ exhibition virtually, Quizlet as virtual flashcards to help students get familiar with important terms, and several interactive tools, such as Google Forms, Quizizz, Mentimeter and Quizlet. The learning evaluation shows that students get improved communication skills in English as well as readiness to choose a concentration in the fourth-year of study.

Abstract

Technology is developing rapidly with the advent of social media, which paper messages are substitutes for electronic messages that make someone is easier to communicate with others. Many social media exist. The famous ones are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others. With so many social media emerging, every social media must have differences with other social media. Instagram has quite a lot of users, especially in student organizations on campus. The hashtags feature of Instagram makes it is easy to search what to find for people, and group them according to the hashtags used. This paper studies an implementation of intersection operators and applies the intersection operator to classification of Instagram’s hashtags.

Abstract

Along with the increasing need for services in organizations, especially in the field of Information Technology (IT), the IT paradigm, which initially only focused on data processing and manipulation, has now shifted to strategic planning and IT services. IT Service Management (ITSM) is an information technology system management method that seeks to align IT with business needs to manage the provision of efficient IT services with quality assurance. Public services cannot be separated from the role of information technology to provide services that are fast, cheap, effective, and reliable to the public. This study was conducted to assess the quality ITSM using the e-GovQual dimensional framework as a best practice. This study includes quantitative research involving some respondents for the survey. This research question based on the dimensions of e-Govqual and represent the attributes of each dimension of e-GovQual to assess the quality of ITSM at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights DIY e-Government. The question must pass the validation test using Cronbach’s α. The processing of data using confirmatory factor analysis to obtain the main factors that affect each of the dimensions of e-GovQual. The Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method helps e-Govqual to measure the level of importance and level of performance of each e-Govqual attribute by classifying it in the Cartesian quadrants (concentrating here, keep up the good work, low priority, and possible overkill), which can help ensure the quality of ITSM according to the performance and importance of citizens as a service user. The results of this study are expected to give priority as a recommendation for Information and Communication Technology to the development of ITSM to improve service quality. With Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) as the best practice ITSM framework, especially the domain service transition, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights DIY are expected to get a roadmap and blueprint for the utilization and implementation of Information Technology in the government sector for public services.
